I also collect pfaltzgraff heritage collection. The mark on the bottom of yours is that castle imprint but it is the older one from 1960's. Later the incised mark was a smaller round imprinted stamp with a little castle. Then in the 80's they went to the ink stamp. I just found a soup tureen with the ladle and the tall coffee pot with the old stamp. I got a rush when I found them! Happy collecting.

Thank you for sharing this! It’s such a beautiful collection! Happy collecting to you, also!

The canvas on the frames is an inset used as another relief or layer in case you don't have a matting around the art piece. I love this looks as well! The small brown lidded crock looks like ones my Mom had which she used when she made flavored butter or cheese. The heritage bowl is used for veggies so you can display it on the table or on a buffet/side board/credenza. I was born in southern Illinois so a lot of your tastes are things I grew up surrounded by in the 50's, 60's & 70's. You have a great designer eye for quality pieces. Plus, you're so pretty! Please keep showing your thrifting finds so I can live vicariously through you! Happy hunting!!

Thank you! I don’t know the names or uses of things sometimes but I like what I like so I really appreciate when someone can tell me what things were used for!
Lots of thrifting this month so I’ll be sharing another haul soon! Thanks, again!

I to, love to be surrounded by things in my home that I love. Especially old & vintage. I collect ironstone & we also use them too. Why not, right? I have an obsession with crocks & I use them all over my house for storing items. You got a great collection!

My first time catching your Channel- love that little table it's really beautiful. The canvas that you're speaking of inside your frames- those are called liners. Love your video.

Great video and great finds. That pitcher you got that is Royal Haeger, the Haeger company was a couple of towns over from me. I went there all the time and they had great tent sales in the summer. Sadly they are out of business so your pitcher may be worth something!

This is a lovely video to end the day. I’m going to a really good Goodwill tomorrow and an antique store. All your goodies are beautiful. Tonight my hubby said something about using throw away dishes to help myself out after cooking. I told him that yes that would be easier, but I love the beauty in my antique dishes and bowls. 😊

I completely agree! Love using real, and beautiful dishes! There is a joy in it ♥️ Have fun thrifting & antiquing! Hope you find some treasures!

I love the crazing on dishes as well!
    It makes it beautifully imperfect.
If you plan on actually using it for food and beverage you should definitely get a lead test kit.

If you use clear plates over the stoneware dishes they are safe and look amazing!

You can tidy up old frames with a tinted wood restorer without it losing the beautiful patina. I have renovated frames with boot polish and they turned out beautifully.

Yes! I know the feeling of wanting to be surrounded by beautiful things that are useful. I thrifted and bought things new from discount stores/clearance before I even had a home. I don't regret it one bit. It was amazing moving in and not having to take hammy downs

P.S. try using Feed & Wax wood polish & conditioner on the frames. It's made with beeswax & orange oil. It helps put oils back in the wood so it doesn't crack or dry out or deteriorate the finish. This way you preserve the patina & wear which is natural. If you use other items to cover the finish or imperfections (I call this character), you could damage the integrity of the piece.

      @diaryofahomemaker  ปีที่แล้ว

I will try that, thank you for the suggestion!

The prices you get stuff for are amazing. I live in south GA and stuff is expensive down here. Once again everything was beautiful. Thank you again so much for sharing also I have been making your biscuit gravy girl it's so good. I'm going to fix the granola next. Have a blessed week!

There are a few very cheap thrift stores and they’re always my favorite! The mom and pop type stores usually tend to be cheaper. Big chains like Red Racks and Goodwill tend to be higher. Although sometimes Goodwill does have some great finds for not a lot of money. It’s the thrift of the thrift, treasure hunting! Ahh! It’s delicious, huh! So glad you’re loving it! Def a staple in this house! You, as well. ♥️

That Pfaltzgraff was made in York PA. The company was sold in 05 and production moved to China. I use to own the Yorktown pattern. Your is probably from the 80’s.

Thank you! I’ve watched a ton of your videos and I think we definitely have a similar style! Gotta love pfaltzgraff! I found an almost complete collection of the Yorktowne Pattern at a garage sale last year, they were the old ones too, and if I hadn’t already been committed to the heritage collection I would have brought it home with me!

It is worth buying archival pages for pictures or they will fade in a few years. It will be worth it.

I think your drawing may be by Edward Arnold. I'm sorry I only know what info is online about him. I am not an artist but I am excited if I find art works but artists I am able to identify. I really enjoyed your video today--my first time watching you. May God bless you.
