Flower frogs are actually placed at the bottom of the vase. The holes hold the florals in place and allow you to create more complex arrangements than just plopping the stems in a vase.
The copper pot with the long handle is possibly a cezve which is used to brew Turkish, Arabic or Greek coffee. I have seen this item on many videos & also on June's Journey. I had never seen one before but they are quite unique & look very vintage. Not 100% just a guess. Have a blessed day😀
Very good finds!! Love all the old utensils you got to help with your photos and those cookbooks are so sweet. You are so adorable! I felt a lil woozie with the out of focus parts while you were trying to share the items. Can you try to pick a spot that is in focus when you share & hold the item for a tad longer so we can see better? That would be such a help. Thank you for sharing your interesting finds.💐
New viewer here. Loved all the items you acquired.... both gifted and thrifted. One of my favorite thrifted cookbooks of all time is called The Heritage of Italian Cooking. It is large like yours. The recipes are amazing , but the art is so gorgeous, you could actually frame some of the pages. But I just can't bring myself to ruin this incredible cookbook. OMG.. I am 73, and had that little duck basket years and years ago!!!!! I love ottomans and footstools. I have thrifted 5 of them so far. Some are perfect colors and textures, others I have recovered or painted the legs . Its always so fun hunting for the perfect piece.
This is a Make do The copper ladle It’s actually probably from a copper cup may be a measuring cup? And the handle is actually a bobbin. You can see how they put it together inside with a nut in a screw Probably just used for necessity maybe Looks like the two pieces are old, but it’s probably something that was just put together
Sadly the candlesticks are just silverplate….. but you can still enjoy & why not!! They are beautiful!! If silver is sterling….it will be stamped with the words “sterling” or the numbers “925” which means…. 925% pure silver
You found some great things. You can never have to many cookbooks always pickup those old ones. And my nanny always put the frogs on the bottom of the vase. So this whole time I have been doing I t wrong??
Not yet, it is something I plan to do because so many want me to share. Waiting for things to slow down just a tad when life isn't quite so busy. I do plan on sharing though!

That’s true, most do fit in the bottom, but some do sit in the top of vases, or jars, in some cases. Looks like she got one of each.😊
I'm 73 and I love that you appreciate older things. ❤
I love the flowers you have in the background, hanging from the shelf
I wonder about the flower frog. I guess she lucked out.
Yes, Ikebana arrangements.@@bonnierainwater4484
Awesome finds. I love that you have the heart and soul for a 100 year old home!!
Thank you!
My mom always used the frogs at the bottom of the vase. It looks great at the top❤

Don’t feel guilty collecting cookbooks! I have tones of vintage ones I love & mix in displaying with my holiday decor. Love your haul!
First time here.. you scored some wonderful items. I especially like what your husband's aunt gifted you. So sweet.
You have some amazing things! The fabric is upholstery. For furniture or drapes. You must have a beautiful home. ❤
Thank you so much! It is definitely a heavy duty fabric, I thought about making cushion covers. We'll see!
The handle on the copper “cup” reminds me of vintage thread spools. I love it and would have grabbed it up also!
You're right, that is what it is!
Oh, the cookbooks!!!😍😍😍
Brianne, what wonderful vintage items! Love those silver candlesticks❤ and the recipe holder! I like your style ❤
Thanks so much!
A small tip I do. I keep the covers of books in a file I put them all in one file so incase I feel I want to put it on or sell it I will have them.
First time in your channel. Another thing to do with thick glass flower frog, they make different "pen/ pencil" holders
Hi Brianne! I love our haul, love your channel, I subscribed! :>
Potato masher was one I grew up with. It was my grandmother's before my mom's. I am 73. Like your style.

It really is! Even if I don't bring anything home or find anything, I sure do love to look!

Ahh! I see it now! Thank you for clarifying! I wondered why there was a nut on the inside.
I am a new subscriber and I really enjoy your channel.
You have the flower placed right my mom had one in the 60s most of them are on a white milk glass bowl
I’m swooning over those light fixtures!
They are too good!! I can't believe he still had them! Meant to be!
Sadly the candlesticks are just silverplate….. but you can still enjoy & why not!! They are beautiful!! If silver is sterling….it will be stamped with the words “sterling” or the numbers “925” which means…. 925% pure silver
Wow, thank you! The more you know!
I know you will cherish the things your husband’s aunt gave you and the amazing old cookbooks. ❤
We sure will!
Definitely will need a decorate with me video!!!
Working on a decorate with me for that shelving unit I mentioned one million times, haha!
Such cute treasures. I have the same oval frame. I got it from my grandmother & it has photo me & her in it.
Love all of your Aunt freebies. She is a sweetie for sure! Fabric looks to be taffetta. It's very nice and not cheap at fabric stores.
The sweetest! Thank you, I think you are right!
Great haul.
I believe the lamp shades are slag glass.
Thank you! I knew there had to be a name for it
You cannot have too many old cookbooks. It's just not possible. At least not in my world. 😂
I have the same flower frogs and they are both chunky and they work so well
The chunky ones are my favorite!
@@diaryofahomemaker mine too! 🙋🏻♀️
Hi
I am not allowed to bring books home (LOL). I love old books, especially cookbooks. I can't resist them! Good luck with not buying more cookbooks!
Ha! The struggle is real!
Beautiful finds ❤
Thank you!
❤😊
I love everything but ~ 25:30 ~ is my favourite.
The light fixtures are def some of my favorites as well!

There is definitely some of them that do go in the bottom of a vase! Would love to find some of those!
The correct way IS to put them on the bottom of the vase. That's exactly why that chunky one is so heavy.
The fabric is made by “Waverley”
Thank you for this!
Is there a video tour of your house?
