2023-01-18 - MLM - BIODIVERSITY FOR LIFE & CLIMATE - with Justina Ray and Mitchell Beer

On January 18, 2023 CALL (Climate Action for Lifelong Learners) held their first monthly learning meeting of the year on the topic of “Biodiversity for Life and Climate” with featured speakers, Dr. Justina Ray (President and Senior Scientist at Wildlife Conservation Society Canada) and Mitchell Beer (publisher and managing editor of The Energy Mix/Climate News Network). Justina and Mitchell did a recap of COP15, the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity held in Montreal in December with some comparisons to COP27 the climate change conference in Sharm-el Sheikh, Egypt in November of 2022. The experts first spoke separately and then engaged in an interesting dialogue with each other, followed by an upbeat Q&A. This informative session will provide meaningful perspectives on global conferences of this nature.
