"Tohoku My Love", Japanese Suite by Duo Sweet 17 あまちゃん組曲

For our 2014 "Building Bridges" Tour in Japan we had a varied program of European and Japanese music. Here is a little suite of Japanese pieces we arranged in memory of the 2011 Tsunami victims and in honour of the people who still live in the now heavily contaminated region. Playing for them was a very emotional experience, especially the children's concerts. We have no footage from the Fukushima concerts, only photos. But we played the pieces at some other concerts on the tour. This version is from our Kakogawa concert, where we played in a buddhist temple.
