Sorry but that's not skepticism. Skeptics follow the evidence to their conclusion. That's the opposite of what conspiracy theoriest do. They see patterns without proving it and reject where evidence leads because its "part of the coverup"

@@Destorath666 skepticism in a philosophical context means the radical questioning of everything. It is a method tho, not a set of beliefs. The reason to do this is to detect holes (logical fallacies or assumed premises without proof) in ones own worldview. It in itself does not mean to follow rational conclusions to the end, it means to check if they are rational in the first place. The more extrem ontological/epistemological forms question our ability to even perceive or understand the world in any (meaningful) way, going so far as to question reality itself. What you describe is common rationality or scientific working.
The problem with conspiracy theorists is a bit more complicated. They attack the scientific method (which is related to skepticism, however not the same) by making their theories immune to falsification, which makes them scientifically speaking basically worthless and puts them in the realm of religious belief.

It also says the militia, which today would mean the National Guard. How many of these gun nuts actually serve in their state's guard unit. All of those state laws have been ruled to be unconstitutional and unenforceable at the federal level. State rights don't allow them to create laws that break the 1st Amendment. Must be a russian troll or uneducated conservative not to know that.
The supereme court said christians are the ones breaking the law with these unconstitutional laws.
I worked for a sticker company for a decade. There were some things we wouldn't print, but more often if it was really offensive we just wouldn't print our logo on the tab. The only things we printed that promoted violence were US military stickers though.

The NRA tries to say every time there's a mass shooting: 'now's not the time to talk about gun laws', and are glad to blame people with mental health conditions.
Gun laws should be talked about after a shooting, so that whatever happened doesn't happen again.
Some people who have committed violent crimes do have a mental health issue, but the majority of people with mental health issues are not likely to commit violent crime.
I read a research paper a while ago. The statistics in that article said that even if every violent crime committed by a person with a mental health condition were prevented, about 95% or possibly even 97% of violent crime would still happen.
If a mass shooting happens and it had something to do with a mental health condition, fine, talk about mental health.
But not all shootings are committed by people with a mental health condition.
One thing that is involved in literally every single shooting that happens: guns. Big surprise there: every time a shooting happens, guns were involved. The existing laws about guns are not doing enough, and probably a reason for that is that even though a majority of the country is for improvement of gun control laws, the NRA contributes so much money to politicians that the laws regulating guns become very hard to pass.

This was originally a response but I figured it'd be more useful as a comment on its own. So that's the context.
Now,
1) I never said or implied that I supported the teachings of the Quran, I have the same feelings about it as I do the Old Testament.
2) His bit in the overall video was part of *A Sketch.* This is a fucking comedy show you dumbass; what the fuck were you expecting? Seriously, I am legitimately asking, what were you expecting? If Avi truly wanted to debate ideas without being made fun of, then he should go to more political shows like Bill Maher's or Trevor Noah's. The latter even has sketches, alongside the kind of interview that he would have with the likes of Tomi Lahren, so there is, in fact, a *clear distinction* between a sketch that presents a person with their ideas with a comedic effect and a political discussion in front of a live audience. *You are just playing mad and you know it.*
3) Now to your main point; the problem with Avi is that *he has repeatedly condemned Muslims (the peoples),* not only Islamic ideology, which again, *I disagree with,* though *in all fairness,* he has recently shifted his discourse by explicitly acknowledging the difference between asshole jihadists and everyday Muslim folk; I can't tell if you're an SJW, a right-wing troll, or just a troll overall; regardless, what was shown in the video, was plain and simple an *exaggerated portrayal of Avi's character* for comedic effect, again stop playing outraged. *Avi's overall message and Ideas are still the same,* just edited the same way other "interviews" with senators on both sides of the aisle and other prominent personalities have been. *So Avi did well in recording,* in that, he can show to his audience that he is not as much of a dick as you might have thought based on the video; and yet, his overall message is still the same.
4) Lastly, to the argument that all you outraged trolls always make that Jim did this and that and that he's somehow hiding "his true self", he literally got famous by bashing religions and making inflammatory non-pc jokes: that's literally his whole platform; he's not hiding his disdain for religious ideas the same way Avi is not hiding his disdain for everything Islam-related.
Avi blew this whole thing out of proportion for the sake of views and sensationalism, though to be fair, that says more about Society's values and what it rewards than it says of him... After all, He's just trying to make a living and that's understandable. So stop being fake outraged or looking for excuses to be. The world is not black and white, Avi is not your Shining Armor hero who destroys leftist scum. He's just a guy in the internet trying to make money out of mob outrage for something which was absolutely 100% expected in a comedy show; something expected in a *sketch.*
