- In this tutorial, I'll show you how to jump right into the world of Dance Dash - an exciting VR rhythm game with mechanics similar to games like Dance Dance Revolution or Dancerush Stardom!
Dance Dash is a great workout, a lot of fun, and currently a hot topic in the world of VR. And personally, it's the VR game that I didn't know I've been waiting for all of my life!

I love how clever the game's logo is.
If you read it normally from left to right, it says "Dance Dash".
If you read the title by the letter colors, blue then red, it still says "Dance Dash".
Plus, if you read the title by it's colors, it's representative of the switch ups and twists on the foot notes that happen during game play.
This game is amazing!

I hope you can also make a beginner tutorial for map making in the game! I'm completely new to rhythm games but I'd love to make maps for my favorite songs, I try to incorporate choreography but it doesn't work well as a normal map if you don't know the choreo before
If you have a older Oculus headset the Rift S and Rift CV1 also work

Hi Cake, thank you for sharing this tutorial, this is super helpful! I love that you include "beginner"/slow version of the tutorial video. Curious what 's the name of the songs those clips are from? I found most songs features shuffles are usually very fast and a bit hard to practice like that. Or is there any way you mananged to slow down the song? Thank you so much!
Thank you for your kind comment! In this video I was using practice maps that I made myself. They are available for anyone to play in the game through the custom songs feature. The lower difficulties for these should be slow enough that you can use them for practice.

Yes, there is a beatmap editor available for the game where you can create custom levels. And you can download custom levels in-game!

Hey mate, just letting you know, Dance Dash is available on the Meta Quest store, but only in App Lab. You need developer mode enabled. As far as trackers and etc, I'm not sure what you can do as I haven't tried anything yet.

I think it's going to depend on what surface you're playing on - carpet, wood, tile, etc. I don't have any specific recommendations, unfortunately 😅 I've only ever tried playing with one pair of shoes, and there's nothing really special about them. But at the very least, you probably want to avoid running/tennis shoes or anything with a lot of grip, since you need to slide your feet a lot in-game.
This is such an open and divisive question it almost feels like a gag... the "vim or emacs" of Dance Dash, if you will.
Obviously the answer is socks!
