Whenever I see some of the more deranged parasocial comments left on Angelica's channel by certain individuals who I won't name, plus the requests that she interact with her viewers more often, I can't help but be reminded of Steve Buscemi's character's quote from Spy Kids 2: "Do you think God stays in heaven because he, too, lives in fear of what he's created here on Earth?" ...although I don't think she fears her creation at all... but would be rather... disappointed by some of the people participating in it. Regardless though, I hope they don't affect her either way.
I’ve only just started noticing them! I had no idea it was so common until I started scrolling thru more than just the tippity-top comments. They’re off putting at best, and downright creepy at worst. And when they ask her or tell her to interact more, they seem so grossly entitled. It’s also kind of contradictory imo, bc part of Angelica’s brand/charm is her being “mysterious” or vague (at least on youtube. I’m not sure abt other platforms). I’m also not sure why she has so many compared to other asmrtists I watch.
