If more people would be themselves, we would have more stories. Ralph is a jewel. There was no poverty regarding him. He is a smart business man and he had something people needed everyday of their life. Thank you John for your tireless work bringing us the best of America.

I sure like Ralph, both of my Pap Paws Passed away when my MaMa and Daddy were very Little, if my Pap Paws were like Ralph I would have Loved them. Ralph is so cool. I had a bunch of ancestors from Over on Green County, My Cousin Charles Godfrey Traced out Family Tree back to 940 in Normandy.

I remember my dad and grandfather catching turtles in a big creek below our house and cleaning them in a big washtub in the back yard, even after their heads were cut off they would still bite.I would get a stick and let them bite it.The hearts would still beat and I carried one in the kitchen to show granny, while she was making biscuits,I held it right up in her face and said ,Look granny, whap!! she smacked me right on the cheek I had a flour handprint on my cheek, lol. The only time my granny ever smacked me, can't say I blame her, it's not ever day you get a beating heart shoved in your face.

Faye Sheets they say snakes bite after their heads cut off,and you can still get poisoned! Even if you run over them, get the teeth in your tires then when fixing the tire you can get poisoned handling it, what I've heard.

When I was little the TV stations signed off seems like at 20:00pm,it could have been later. I definitely remember them signing off at m/n when I got married at 18! My daddy got our first TV in 1952 or 1953. Don't know for sure,it could have been couple years later.

Cooda, snapping Turtle, lives in water. they will take your fingers off if you get too close. My Uncle had them turtles out back in a huge tub where they lived and were fed until they were harvested to eat. My Uncle Glen took me down where the turtles lived one day and I looked over the side of the tub and it had huge snapping turtles in there. Uncle Glen took a huge stick and said, NOW Watch !!. He put that stick in front of one the turtles faces and , SNAP, , the stick was done broke. Best eaten, side from rabbit or catfish. I was about four or five years of age. 1954 round about.
My Gt Grand daddy also lived with them and my daddy was always drinking with him through the afternoons, Home brew, moonshine, I don't think the snapping turtles got any. :)
