Scarlet King: Hope what a pitiful concept of lifeform desperate to not relise the purpose of life is to suffer. Clark Kent: Hope exist just as long as one person is there to say "Hey, its going to be ok".
Honestly, I see this as more of a tie. The two go up to absurd levels in powerscalling that it's beyond impossible to determine an actual winner. Tufto's Proposal depicts SK as the literal idea of Nihilism itself and people's dissatisfaction with their life. It doesn't matter if they actually get over it, at least one people will think that life has no meaning, thus allowing Scarlet King to continue existing. I’ve come to a similar interpretation, but in my opinion this only works if the Story of Superman is taken into affect. It if is, I find is so badass to have Superman acting as an immovable object to Scarlet King’s unstoppable force.
“Hear the screams of the anguished, feel the agony of the damned, they is nothing you can do, nothing you can fight for” - Scarlet King “I hear them, I feel them every single day, that is why I don’t quit, that is why I fight and I know that the only way to save them is to TAKE YOU DOWN” - Superman
Superman honestly stands a chance. He makes the impossible, possible, like when he casually held and transported some of the bleed to give to lois, even though the monitors said it was utterly impossible to do so. Not just for Superman, but for anyone.
Tho I do wonder if he be able to fight an army of them as no way the scarlet kings fighting alone he does have an army and weirdly enough so does superman as there are a munch of robot superman’s

@@KH2KGYou know, that last detail alone is why I want Superman to win. I mean there are people who say, no canon = no feats, and then there are those who say that everything that is written about a story by different people counts as canon. Superman at least belongs to a comic editorial with professional writers (at least I think so), scp can be created and written by anyone and they almost always say scp > fiction, it's so annoying so many times.
@@JuanRomero-xs4wttbf Superman probably can win, the only problem i feel is that its going to be a bittersweet victory no matter what because the Scarlet King once awoken pretty much destroys the universe so like Earth is inevitably doomed and if not by that then by the sheer power of the clashes between them. And a dead earth is by Superman standarts the greatest of failures
Battle like this is usually about metaphysical boundaries. You’ll always get dissenting opinions, but in my view, on an Omniverse scale: everything starts and ends with Superman. He transcends metaphysical limits. Superman’s power, ultimately, has no limits. He embodies hope and is a paragon of the human condition, which is beautifully ironic, because he’s not even human. His power scales to whatever level is necessary to protect the greater good. While there will always be characters like the Presence, One Above All, SCP-01, Saitama, or the ever-popular Goku, they are beings with immense cosmic power within their defined mythologies, constantly breaking their limits. They represent omnipotence, power, and control. They exist at the highest levels of their universes, far beyond most comparisons. But in the end, that’s what they are: power. No willpower, no heart, no deep experience with suffering, no empathy or compassion to match Superman’s. Superman isn’t a god. He can’t be, because gods dictate rules for others. Superman sets rules for himself, for our benefit. That’s where he’s different. Superman’s strength isn’t just about power. He’ll always be as strong as necessary to win because he embodies hope itself. This makes him the ultimate victor, representing something central to storytelling and the human condition. In essence, Superman is the most powerful being. The embodiment of our desire to rise against impossible odds. The collective hope that, no matter the challenge, we can overcome. Hope. Superman has faced countless enemies and challenges across the multiverse, yet he persists. So, not only is his purpose indomitable-even if one disagrees-the culmination of all his experiences creates an ultimate combatant unmatched in fiction. His strength, intelligence, skill, power, will, and most of all, heart, allow him to overcome anything. People may disagree, but that’s who Superman is. He’s the embodiment of all hope and passion from every conscious being, focused into a single entity-not just a person, but an idea. The hope for a better tomorrow. It’s long been known that animals feel love, fear, anger, and relief. But mankind alone feels hope. The belief that no matter how bad things get, they’ll improve. That even when everything around you fails, holding on means something good will come. That you have a hero fighting evil. A Superman. Even if Superman isn’t real, the beauty of his ideals is. That’s undeniable. And that’s the source of his power: our belief in a better future. Everything may die. Everything will die. Even hope itself. But Superman? Superman dies last
Ideally this is what many people imagine the fight between SK and his son SCP-999 to be, the ultimate battle between the incarnation of evil against the incarnation of hope and joy. I've been in c9ntact with SCP-999's author for some time and he was pretty open of 999 ascending to become an Elder God like SK and have an optimistic grasp on life like Superman, there's even some fanart about it.
I really like this one. I will always follow my heart, and it's telling me that Superman would probably win even if you give SK his highest end feats. You can argue Clark to be high outer, with speed above the speed scale. I don't want to sound like a broken record but as so many people have mentioned, i really appreciate that the art changes mid song. Feels like a story is being told, where Clark is just being shit on the entire time until actually putting the effort in and fighting back, securing a victory.
basically this Clark pushes SK back Sk: o This does not end until everything you know is dead Superman: stop threatening People!!! Clark Punches SK way into the air and punches him back down Superman: You have no idea what I have been through How much I have been Holding back!!!!! Superman then continues to bumble SK until he is nothing but a bunch of gore and blood Superman: I thought you were stronger guess I was wrong.
Regardless of who wins, i like how this song was structured so that it doesn't undermine either character, so depending on the story you give, it could go either way: scarlet king still grins while superman punches him even when the lyrics pick up their spirits; you could interpret that as SK being impressed by Superman's perseverance, despite the battle not being over, but possibly just beginning.
The world burned in scarlet fire, the end of all things crashing down upon the world in great waves of pain and death. The masses screaming as the desolation came for them and in their heart of hearts, they knew the end had come. Then, he came, as he always had before when their need was greatest, their champion. Hope shining brightly from his chest for all to see, he alone stood against the dark, for who else could? The evil laughed at this insect who dared challenge it here at the pinnacle of it's greatest and last victory and struck out against the interloper. Our champion did not fall, but instead flew forward to meet this dark power with his own. Mountains shook, stars flickered in the sky, all that is, was, or will be threatened to tear itself apart as reality buckled from the force of the battle. Our hero fought with everything he had against this ultimate evil who in turn lashed out with all it's incomprehensible power, not understanding why the man (For he was just a man, he had to be). Would. Not. Die. They fought for hours? Days? Centuries? it did not matter, for time had lost all meaning, when at last, our champion fell from the sky and a million voices cried out in despair. The evil laughed, it had met it's match, and proved itself superior, turning to finally erase what it believed to be a lie. But the evil did not understand, our champion wasn't defeated, our champion could not be defeated. As long as one person remained, one spark of hope, one whisper; "It'll be okay, Superman will save us." Then our champion would hear it, and he would fight for them. He rose from the ground, faster than a speeding bullet, in his clenched fist was a wellspring of power, he carried our hope with a promise of a better tomorrow, and against it the evil was powerless. Our Champion struck, the evil cried out for it did not, could not understand, it was beyond hurt, yet in that moment it experienced pain as it was at last destroyed. Our Champion stood triumphant, and the world cheered in relief, he had saved us as he always had, and as he always would.
Scarlet King: Ignorant man of tomorrow! Can't you see how hopeless it is to destroy I, the Scarlet King?! Superman: I know fighting you will be tough, but that won't stop me from giving it my all and showing you just how powerful I really am!
"This is going to be a tough one, cant do this on my own." "If there's anything we can get you Superman, name it." "I'm going to need a blue police box, and a semi truck."
As a fan of SCP Foundation I really hope Superman wins. Even if it's the weird way of winning like Superman being a symbol of Hope thus able to harm Scarlet King.

I think this would be a close matchup if we use the concept of superman. The constant of Dc multiverse. I mean we start with superman fighting and losing but before been killed superman of earth one saves him, then we see all superman versions standing against scarlet king. The final battle is scarlet king vs cosmic armor superman. Because if scarlet king is the end of all things, superman is hope.
Interesting matchup, even if it is a stomp. I could see it ending in the same way as Bill Cipher vs Discord, where Superman loses but still somehow manages to screw the Scarlet King over in the end.
@@doctorspindash2.086 Scarlet King is High Outer in the English Branch, and I think he gets even higher with Chinese Branch scaling. I'm not entirely sure where Superman falls in terms of power, but I went off of Death Battle scaling (which I know can be really inaccurate, but I stand by the belief of it at least being generally reliable most of the time) which would put him between High Complex Multi and Low Hyper.
Hmm this is an unexpected matchup but I’m here for it, scarlet king ftw. I like how there are some parts that sound like impending doom but others that sound like…not impending doom.
Huh, that's strange. I didn't expect to hear peak today. Absolutely amazing work to everyone involved and great work. I don't think i can express how much I love this track. And of course, the man of tomorrow prevails. Not because of power, but because hope, even if hard to believe in, always beats dispair. This was amazing, great work everyone.
And here it is. I got the chance to listen to the "demo" version of this track some time ago and I was really hyped for it because it sounded great so I was very curious as to how this finalized version would end up sounding like. And in the end ? It's really nice. I've said it in my review of the instrumental but I'm someone that heavily dislikes SCP but I really liked how the track was written to give a direct progression and representation fitting of this classic Hero VS Villain matchup. And this vocal version heavily capitalizes on it: it perfectly supports that dynamic by making both halves of the lyrics mirror one another with the first half being fitting of Scarlet King and the second one being fitting of Superman just like the instrumental. But as said above, this vocal version capitalizes on it even more with there being an extremely distinct mirroring of both halves of the song. The first half of the lyrics are sombre and devoid of emotion in their delivery along with tales of the Scarlet King and the terror he brings while the second half of the lyrics have much more emotionally-filled deliveries that tell of the hope and determination that Superman showcases. To elaborate on that I must first commend the vocal performance for the song as a whole. Oforestchild's performance in Tempest Blitz has always been extremely memorable to me and even if her performance in Blazing Awakening was kind of "wasted" due to the song being honestly kinda bad, I've always thought that she had a very unique voice and talented deliveries that add a lot to songs. So seeing her featured in this track felt extremely fitting due to its atmosphere and, with little surprise, it works perfectly. She manages to perfectly strike that balance of lyrics sounding unemotional to fit the Scarlet King but still enjoyable to listen to and more powerful to fit Superman but still tame enough to not overwhelm the instrumental. This helps the song's dynamic stand out a lot more than it would with a lower quality vocal performance because, as said above, the switch between the sombre and morose first half to fit the Scarlet King and the more hopeful and heroic second half to fit Superman was a key point of the instrumental which, while certainly not subtle, still was far from completely binary which meant there needed some subtlety and precision in the vocals to perfectly convey the difference. But of course another major point that makes this vocal version so appreciable is the lyrics themselves. I rarely mention the lyrics themselves in tracks unless I think they add a major thing to the song and this here is absolutely such a case. As said before, the fact that each half mirrors the other is absolutely great. I love when songs draw a direct parallel from one character to another, even more so when it manages to do it by taking a segment's vocals and switching them around to fit the other character and this does it perfectly. The lyrics manage amazingly to depict the Scarlet King as this agent of doom and destruction that he is while Superman is shown as a holy and divine figure akin to a god meant to protect his people. This gives a massive air of power to both characters: the first one being a living apocalypse while the second one is a god in all but name and that fits the matchup perfectly. It gets across their power and personalities really well but it also conveys extremely well how they're both just different sides of the same coin with the chorus which is the same for both but twisted to fit their side of the story. Scarlet King's version of the chorus depicts how he uses his grandiose power to spell chaos and agony (special mention for the "Daylight Shatters" line which I'm pretty sure is a reference When Day Breaks which works really well as When Day Breaks is also referred to as SCP-001, something that the Scarlet King is also referred to as I believe. Great writing here and it also sounds cool) while Superman's chorus depicts how he uses power to spread hope and justice. Even the last line of the chorus references this with the "on the cusp of the sun" thing: both are similar to one another but on different sides of the same spectrum making them polar opposites. This is something that's also shown with the Daylight line of both respective chorus: Scarlet King breaks daylight on his own which can be both taken literally but also metaphorically with "daylight" signifying hope here as Scarlet King would spell doom for everyone. While Superman's version shows daylight gathering into his eyes, once again being taken both literally as he's powered by sunlight but also metaphorically as he'd be filled with hope to save everyone from the threat he's faced with. And honestly this is another reason why I absolutely love when songs mirror some of their segments to have different meanings. Because it allows for different interpretations of lines that would otherwise only have a single level of depth. Scarlet King's lyrics focus on telling of his strength and the terror he brings while Superman's focus on how he surpasses every limit and wall set in front of him to defeat said terror and I love that. It's the exact thing I'd want from such an high-scales Hero VS Villain matchup and it's executed wonderfully here. Sure it leaves the ending a bit less neutral than the instrumental by having it clearly focus on Superman but it's a small price to pay for such a great vocal inclusion as a whole. And besides, I'm one to prefer happy endings to stories so the good guy winning is always a plus. Overall this vocal inclusion further helps push what made the instrumental version of the track great. It capitalizes on everything that was good and makes the song all the more emotionally charged for the better. This combined with an amazing vocal performance that has no missed deliveries and a general mastery of every line along with their meaning throughout the song result in something that's most definitely an improvement over the already amazing instrumental the track had. Amazing job to both artists with this for sure.
I wonder with Story of Superman logic, Superman being the symbol of hope and thus able to pull feats he's normally incapable of. Would give him a chance against the Scarlet King.
It doesn't give him any glimmer of chance and Story of Superman is extremely overrated. It's just slight narrative manipulation resistance, which Scarlet King massively outscales, AND even if he didn't, Superman still CAN BE killed, SOS only means that Superman can't be killed permanently, last time it worked, he only came back after 50 years, Scarlet King would win by default then
Isn’t Superman supposed to be a constant in every universe and or reality? He being something that can’t be changed just like the Scarlet King? Wouldn’t by that logic mean that he is within the same ballpark?

Honestly this is a fight of total opposites which would be awesome to see. However, Scarlet King would get his shit kicked in because he's basically just Darkseid, and Superman pushes his shit in every other week.
@@CasinoBoi Yes it is, I dunno why people pretend like Superman is some never-ending constant in the universe, he HAS been killed and even temporarily messed up in the past, his narrative manipulation passive resistance only helps him out to not be replicated, helps him to be revived 50 years into the future, and forbids his narrative from beings changed, but that's it.
Superman dies last
I like how the art changes once Superman Locks In 😂❤

@@MicroSpecGamer Nah he wins
@@MicroSpecGamer You do realize Clark dubs right?
Ideally this is what many people imagine the fight between SK and his son SCP-999 to be, the ultimate battle between the incarnation of evil against the incarnation of hope and joy.
I've been in c9ntact with SCP-999's author for some time and he was pretty open of 999 ascending to become an Elder God like SK and have an optimistic grasp on life like Superman, there's even some fanart about it.
Everyones counting on you Star Man. AND WE'RE WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! OUR HEARTS BEAT AS ONE! WE WILL LIVE TO SEE ANOTHER DAY!!!
Feels like a story is being told, where Clark is just being shit on the entire time until actually putting the effort in and fighting back, securing a victory.
basically this
Clark pushes SK back
Sk: o This does not end until everything you know is dead
Superman: stop threatening People!!!
Clark Punches SK way into the air and punches him back down
Superman: You have no idea what I have been through How much I have been Holding back!!!!!
Superman then continues to bumble SK until he is nothing but a bunch of gore and blood
Superman: I thought you were stronger guess I was wrong.

This was awesome, I love how the art changes from SK holding Superman's tattered cape to Superman punching SK as the lyrics turn more hopeful
Scarlet King: Ignorant man of tomorrow! Can't you see how hopeless it is to destroy I, the Scarlet King?!
Superman: I know fighting you will be tough, but that won't stop me from giving it my all and showing you just how powerful I really am!
"This is going to be a tough one, cant do this on my own."

ANOTHER SCP TRACK LET'S GOOOO-
Rooting SuperGoat and Scarlet Goat Betting The Starman
When I heard this was getting a vocal track, I was hyped for it and it was worth the wait
Interesting matchup, even if it is a stomp. I could see it ending in the same way as Bill Cipher vs Discord, where Superman loses but still somehow manages to screw the Scarlet King over in the end.
Really? How so?
@@doctorspindash2.086 Scarlet King is High Outer in the English Branch, and I think he gets even higher with Chinese Branch scaling. I'm not entirely sure where Superman falls in terms of power, but I went off of Death Battle scaling (which I know can be really inaccurate, but I stand by the belief of it at least being generally reliable most of the time) which would put him between High Complex Multi and Low Hyper.
Come on, Superman

Never heard of the Scarlet King in my life, but I'm glad I heard this song. It rocked.
I just randomly stumbled across this and I have to say that the quality legitimately actually blew me away.
If this did happen then id want a Tie (i dunno SK winning the physical battle but superman proving that hope exist or something)
