I saw another review of these 2 tools that pointed out that because of how the scissors need to fit when stored in the tool, they had to reverse the blades, so they’re actually left-handed scissors. If used with the right hand, you’ll have to change how you squeeze the scissors in order to force the blades closer together to get a decent cut. I’m going to order the powerlitre, as I spend a lot of time travelling as a musician, so the corkscrew will definitely come in handy 🤪, as well as those other tools like the can opener, knife and bottle cap opener.

the powerpint looked interesting for me, the size is quite managable, but a friend told me the scissors and some other tools are crap so i stayed away, a cheaper price wont change that, hope they improve the tool because it is a good platform.

shopping for a multitool recently has been super interesting because my main parameter is i need the corkscrew with the lever, im a waiter so i wanted something i could take to work every day instead of a wine key, and take everywhere else too. seems like im the only person buying a multitool who has any need for that so its been quite difficult haha

Thank you for your videos! I just bought a powerpint from AliExpress ($29USD) and this thing is awesome! I really think that these SOG's are genuine factory seconds, because the file in my tool has notable imperfections, but i can live with that, because i was looking for better but not too large pliers to complement my Victorinox Cyber Tool L, which by far has superior quality in everything, but the SAK 74mm pliers are not for medium duty work, too small and uncomfortable. The 1/4 inch bit holder and serrated blade are another great addition to my EDC. Greetings from Colombia!

My PowerPint file is quite aggressive and good. The scissors suck. You could replace the scissors on the PowerLiter with the file. I've usually got scissors elsewhere. I usually don't have that type of file readily available. You'd be trading the serrated blade on the Power Pint for the corkscrew and latching mechanism on the PowerLiter.

Hello, i just bought this tool on Aliexpress for 32 dollars with the little bag for the belt and it has no imperfection and personally i needed a small, compact tool with a corkscrew because man i love wine and its one of those tools that you cant use something else like a knife or keys because its quite probable youll mess up the cork plus it has more tools, and about the scissors since they are so small i did expect it to only be able to cut paper o one layer of carton i mean it has knife if the scissor cant handle it

SOG needs to figure out how to produce a file and scissors, surely it must be possible.

Mine came with no imperfections , I got the powerlitre in stainless and the powerpint in black oxide and to be fair the powerlitre, the one with the corkscrew, sticks out a little because of the corkscrew, so that's why i think they put that latch there, Maxlvledc did a review on these and you can a get a dud on Amazon too, so I don't think they are seconds, because after all there made in China, where Ali express is, that's one of their distributors, I think..

I just bought a power pint off Ali Express a few days ago. I mentioned it on a Facebook group and I started a fiery discussion. The debate was if you get clones off AE. I hope I get an actual SOG and not a clone or factory second.

I take it that due to the interactivity, the bit latch doesn't really work when using the rest of the toolset? That would solve my biggest issue with the PowerPint - I hate it flopping open, other than for getting to the pliers (that's pretty cool, admittedly). They really perfected that with the Leatherman Signal. Also, would vastly prefer a single, more accessible Victorinox-style combination tool to the separate bottle opener and can openers that don't even incorporate drivers.

Mr. Kincaid I get confused by SOG's multitool names because they put "Power" on a lot of their products. Power Plier, PowerLock, PowerLiter, PowerAccess, PowerPint, etc. I'd be easier if they went with one word and make the names more distinctive so you can tell the models apart by their name. When you don't have a side by side comparison, you don't know what tools have what implements.

I think I've said in your comments before, man, like 95% of all scissors on multi-tools are so useless I'd rather have some other tool or no tool at all and just have that minor weight savings. Scissors like you share in this one, yeah, you're just going to cut anything you wanna try to cut with the plain-edge blade against a hard surface, it'll perform better than the scissors. Throw in an... awl or a file or basically anything's gonna be more useful than the scissors. (For some reason this is my current multi-tool pet peeve, sorry to go on about it so.)
