In the end you had to many ninjas in my opinion as on the SNES version I had of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (which had more characters than the arcade version) which I had you had 7 different ninjas Noob Saibot-black, Rain-purple, Ermac-red, Scorpion-yellow, Reptile-green, Smoke-gray (plus his cyber version), Sub Zero-blue (also non Lin Quai Sub Zero version & Cyber Sub Zero but that might of been just MK Trilogy). So in MK9 it was nice to see him in a different outfit, but his MKX designs were absolutely amazing and I much preferred them to his ninja outfit as there was already too many ninjas and it felt like sloppy designing having 7 ninja with all the same outfit just different colours with ninjas having one of three different stances. Also like in MKX & MK11 they changed Rain’s outfit as well as Sub Zero going back to something similar to his MK3 & UMK3 outfit.

If he's around good then he leans towards positive. He's mostly influenced by negative because up until MKX he was wandering aimlessly with no guidance, influence.

Ermac isn't a demon in the canon, he's a fusion of 10,000 Edenian souls fused together into one being by Shao Kahn's magic controlled by him including King Jerrod's soul, in the old timeline Kenshi frees Ermac with his sword sento fused with souls of his ancestors to free Ermac of Shao Khan's power and joins the good guys as well as teaches Kenshi more powerful TK attacks as a way to say thanks. The newer timeline Ermac remains loyal to Outworld after Shao Kahn's death, but then later feels lost wanders off and is sadly killed by Shang Tsung(not in the pit via the MK 11 Krypt was an easter egg and not canon, though more realistically trolling Ermac fans in the process) All of those Ermac rumors were lies and came from the audit/diagnosis screen "Error Macro"=Ermac was born. Specifically the menu for "ERMACS" within Revision 3.0, it was actually listed directly underneath *Reptile Battles* giving the appearance that they were grouped together. The Ermac listing is a shortened term for "Error Macro". In UMK3 actually, the ninjas had shared poses and moves, it wasn't "Scorpion's pose" Ermac had that pose as well for his TK slam, while Scorpion used that pose for his hell hand grab fatality. Neither were in MK3, but in UMK3 so it wasn't one or the other's pose. Also, Rain had the same pose via his lightning strike move who was only in the reel menu demo screen of arcade UMK3, but not actually playable until the home ports of UMK3 hit. Regarding Ermac's MK Deception canon ending, while the chosen warriors were mind controlled keep in mind Ermac wasn't trying to kill or harm them but keep them occupied while defeating them peacefully so he was clearly holding back since he could easily kill people or destroy them on a molecular level ie what he did to Jax's arms in MK9 timeline. Ermac is also immune to Onaga's mind control which is pretty impressive. Also, old timeline Jax that wasn't the reason for his metal arms since he didn't lose them but upgraded them in the first timeline. It was the second timeline where Jax lost them to Ermac. The old timeline Ermac became good, the MK9 second timeline he's not really evil after Shao Kahn's death but just remains loyal to Outworld due to Kahn's influence and will follow who he feels is best suitable for the job ie why he initially follows Mileena but betrays her to Kotal Kahn once he sees the folly of her leadership.

shalion monks is probably one of the best mk games of all time but never got any follow ups! it's literally OG God of war set in MK universe! it's a game that deserves a follow up or remaster/remake on current gen...they could continue the god of war formula and pattern a sequel or remake in the new god of war style of gameplay!! it's the perfect narritive driven action/adventure Mk game..im surprised it's never gotten a update or second look.
