I grew up in a upper middle class town . Everyone knew how to swim. I am 70 now and need to go to a therapy pool for my knees; lucky enough it is long enough and deep at one end for me to swim half way decent laps. I would say that most of the adults that go that pool really can't swim. Everyone says where did you learn to swim so well. Well Maxi I don't think I swim as well as I should. It is so sad that people don't learn to swim.
80% of open water death happens due to cold water shock??? Although that makes sense... it still blows my mind, you'd think it was drowning. Well, now I know, cold water is more dangerous than I'd thought!

I get cold water shock when the hot water runs out in the shower after the kids steal it all 🤣🤣
