I used the Blackfish to record a basic flight path using BIS_fnc_unitCapture. I knew that if I used a big plane, the turn sensitivity would be much slower and thus make it much easier to make a straight path than if I used a very small plane. Then I used a custom Java program to parse the movement and double the amount of frames by interpolating 2 original frames. Then I slowed the velocity of the recorded flight path made from the Blackfish significantly. I think I halved the velocity. Afterwards, I then took the Frigate and used attachTo command and attached it to the Blackfish, thus inheriting the movement when invoking BIS_fnc_UnitPlay on the new flight path. I used this same methodology excessively in my other machinima Unto Dawn. I can also use the program to fixate the X,Y,Z coords, fixate the direction, or anything really.
My god. This... this was amazing. If you need help with making these in the future like actors or other people with arma 3 knowledge hit me up, steam name is same as is here and my icon right now is a reinhardt wearing a santa hat.
Having a human to work with definitely would be better than Arma 3's AI. It will probably be a while, maybe even several months, before I start another machinima project. I'll keep this in mind though. Thanks.
Commissar of Kreig the spartans weren't in the mod yet when this was filmed. Plus, I thought it would be interesting to close the story with The Rookie from Halo ODST since he dies during the end of this battle

Sorry about the intro's quality. TH-cam's compression was brutal on the shadows and space stars.
Dude it was awesome
This was incredible. The way you hit some really emotional beats with some of the slower music was awesome. Nice work dude.
This is art. And I'm glad to see these sorts of productions.
agree with Freak97 that was amazingly done, great edits, great shots, good choice of music. 13/10
I’m impressed with this videos layout. You must be proud of all the hard work dude! #HaloInsurrections #HaloHistory
I think you'll enjoy what I'm making currently which will take about another month to finish. I'll tease it a little bit: Halo 3 ending.
Yh I’d like to see how it’s play out in your next video. Keep these sick projects up dude! Can’t wait to see your next video
Holy shit, this is actually pretty good. Well done!
This was absolutely amazing
glad you enjoyed it. :)
that was epic! well done man!
How does this not have 20K views? How do you not have at least 1,000 subs?
I just have to say... that was f***ing awesome
I suggest checking out Unto Dawn, which is one of my newer machinima videos.
Very well done!
Look so good. I love this video. Plz make more video, bigger battle, bigger army and longer. Thank you
Amazing work! 👍 🎮 👍
Very well done.
How did you manage to make the frigate fly that well? Looks awesome!

I just pastebin'd the Java program here: pastebin.com/ajgztLD4

that last pod should have had a Spartan

this was fucking fantastic.
Very very good.
this was entertaining for the first little bit. it needs dialogue.
You may not get this, but how did you make the Frigate move like that? Special effects or was that in game?
