dimes such a good guitar player i like the funny screatch.the spagetti harmonic solo is some crazy harmonic style by great dime,he was one of the few who could make the guitar scream the highest he was specialized in morphing harmonic etc.
Greatest Metal band of all time. Well maybe not the "greatest" but definetely the best. Pantera was the peak of Metal music. Now its just... well its just sad..
I saw Pantera at least 5 times. I had the chance to , meet them in Poughkeepsie, ny. I was wearing a ht Phil tossed out into the crowd at world stage in Spring Valley, Darrel noticed the hat in the parking lot. My buddy & I hung with the band in there tour buss as they prepped for the show. We walked in with the band through back stage. Was one great time, and Darrel was a nut. Great musicians.. Good times. Wish he was still around, and would love to hear what they would be sounding like today!
yes, yes..you are 100% right.. I have seen that setup as well..I never knew he had two sets of pedals up there in case he wanted to take over..that's cool.. thanks for the info.!!!
I met dimebags twice. In brisbane australia. Both times he was what an idol was supposed to be..Too fuckin cool. I will never forget the five minutes i spent with him.. He was The nicest rock star i ever met...Twice!!
This is his "Reinventing the steel guitar", as it's called be his guitar tech. I'd say this is a Washburn Custom modelled after the Washburn ST3, which is Dime's signature. The ST3s were usually black with silver bevels and no inlays. This one obviously has stuff added to it, so it's most likely a factory custom. There's also the ST2s on the market. Bolt on with dot inlays. Pretty damn rare
Saw this tour never knowing it would the last one. Still remember Phil who already looked like Charles Manson yell to some in rhe crowd that he liked his shirt with Manson's image and said someone took off with it and it immediately was thrown to him and heput it much to approval of the crowed. Bro I saw them like 6-8 times. Insane shows. I was born in 1978 so it was my prime time listening to good music.
I would give both testicles, but then would have nothing to hold onto when I go see them.
I hope you're planning to see them in 2023 bc they're playing really good right now
