I think I'm starting to appreciate this new Continental a lot more as time goes by than some newer supercars!

Bently seems to be having fun building this car. Other cars people are probably stressed and trying too hard to build a car and obviously almost nobody ends up with a supercar handling better than McLaren so it's a hard business to be an engineer in, Bently doesn't have a goal to make the nurburgring lap record holder so they don't have pressure to build a car equaling McLarens lap times so they can enjoy making it testing it and it's a product that lots of people had nothing but fun with making and testing

Somewhat heavy! Understatement of the year award goes to Eric. Still they certainly ride a LOT better than their mass would suggest.
@@richardmarkham8369 Your reply just popped up in my emails. After 5 months I had to go back and watch the video. I've since had a chance to ride in the new GT Continental but didn't get to drive it. Have you driven one? As I stated in the original comment, IMHO Bentley's have always had a presence of "heavy" but are remarkably spry for their size. A 911 GT3 it is not but even from the passenger seat it felt a lot more capable than one might expect. I'd be interested to know from someone who has driven one if that is in fact the case with this car.
@@erichakanson7010 Alas I own a gen 1 Speed so I imagine the new one is like chalk and cheese, given the totally different underpinnings and trick rear end. On the plus side, the weight does make it feel a little more sure footed when pressing on! Maybe in 10 years time they'll be available for £30k!!!

I think Bentley has nailed the best interior in the automotive industry and they have produced something really solid and high quality and very unique with w12 engine I think they have produced a magnificent car props to the people who have managed this brand and great decisions that they have made they have done truly an outstanding job.

Every iteration of the GT just keeps getting better and better looking. They just keep nipping and tucking and tweaking it to near perfection
W12 is two VR6 engines combined to make a W12. It was VW's design many year ago. The VR6, W8 & W12 shall always be known as Wookie's for the Chewbacca like sounds they roar!

When you do get the GT Speed on the road do you think you could do a proper road trip. Crossing Germany at night is my favourite way to test a fast car. And after all it is called the Continental, not the Next Village and back.

Not the most dynamic: the Continental GT Supersport of the previous generation still has the title. But is a good iteration of the gorgeous Continental GT 2019. My fav non electric car.

That carbon exterior pack looks naff with red paint and silver wheels. I like the actual Speed upgrades, but I'd still be wanting a standard interior, not Alcantara. I think it's a great package.
