Im 15 and I find hard that enough people my age don't appreciate how good this is. I have to play this piece for my grade 8 and i love it soo much. Its challenging but an amazing piece. Some of the passages are so typical Mozart, its great :)
I did this for my Individual Musicianship performance at school this semester. I'm in a love hate relationship with the piece, haha. I love the solo itself, but learning it was a whole other story (:
I'm sorry, I can't tell you who performed it! I gave full credits in my details and was told off by someone. So I deleted their message! I'm sorry! I put this music on here because my wife is very ill, but by the age of 17 she had played this as her grade 8 piece and it blows me away to think that my love could ever play this! Sorry, tears! tangfastico!
I'm playing all three movements and it's hard! thankfully, i have my clarinet teacher to support and teach me! I've been playing for 4 years and have been getting ready to play this for NYSSMA level 6
@ironmetallica951 Do they have a classical music class in your school? Because im 15 too and truly appreciate REAL musicians such as Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Hayden, and many more. It's overwhelming how many people think of classical music is a thing of the past and a dead genre. In my opinion, it will never die.
@bobresurrection Hi, bobresurrection! I hope your audition goes well! My wife had to play this for her grade 8 piece a lot of years ago. It is a beautiful piece of music! Very best wishes for the audition!
They do...they both allow the release of dopamine and serotonin in the brain, and serotonin is the primary chemical involved in sexual pleasure. When they say "musical climaxes are like having orgasms," it's scientifically possible and true for some people. Everyone hears music differently, as much as they feel pleasure in their own way. So don't hate :)
I'm playing this and movement 2 in less two weeks for a scholarship audition...I'm so nervous!!!!!! I'm feeling quite confident about movement 2, but this...not so much. ^^;
@tangfastico It sounds so much like Brymer on his B&H 1010's, but I can't swear to it. If it isn't, it's someone who'se who's studied his technique, carefully.
+pewp face But that's the point, I can. There is a certain discretion able musicians should take when "interpreting" a work of music that allows for such embellishments, like a Mozart concerto. And if you truly knew me, and the work that I do, you would know that I am more than capable of handling a piece like so that demands this type of attention and focus. There are just so many different musicians that face the feat of performing this concerto, and they either 1) don't have the musicianship to consider this, 2) are capable of taking advantage of the freedoms offered by the music in adding their own unique set of embellishments or musical phrases, while understanding the original context the composer gave the music, as well as how their decisions affect the energy of the piece, and how much it should be accounted for in remembering how much of the music is the composer's and not theirs, and 3) those that disregard this, and do what they (artistically) feel without exercising self-control, driving their will ahead of the intent of the music put before them. However, my views no longer completely align with the statement I made, and I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to listen to the music again, and then reflect on the comment I left here. But the next time you would like to offer some criticism on my comments, or even one of my videos, please, please, please, please, PLEASE do not return and leave a statement assuming the name "pewp face". It looks bad on other people's pages, and it also takes away your credibility each time you use it. Did you really think that your words would get any respect left by someone that leaves their concerns for others to consider remembered as "pewp face"? If you don't believe me, respond to my comment again. Someone will groan every time they realize "pewp face" is trying to assert themselves on the topic of classical music, or else, laughing profusely at the fact that someone going by a name that implies there is shit on their face is attempting to depreciate the confidence and words of another person that partially just wanted more music to judge the performer by. I hope you have a better perspective on the circumstance you inserted your comment into.
+Sabrii Anderson I agree with you - I don't like what they've done to this piece to make it more 'original'. I'm learning it at the moment and I thought I'd listen to a few recordings to get ideas, there's actually a lot of recordings that are annoying me by disregarding Mozart's intentions with this piece (and/or not thinking about the style of playing in the classical period of music).
Sabrii Anderson Thank you for a different way of looking at the piece of pure art. I understand what kind of disrespect my name brings.. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about that at the moment. As a young musician, I want to learn as much as I can about music itself, the account of that is infinite. I also understand your viewpoint. I still don't know exactly what Mozart intended for this piece of music, but the fact that this clarinet player wanted to put his own feeling into the piece, is an accomplishment itself. I honestly don't think any piece of music has 'limitations' of what you can or can't do. The sky is the limit. And I never said you said anything about limitations, I just wanted to bring that in. I honestly cannot compete with musical knowledge because of my lack of it.I also understand what kind of things goes along with that. But I just wanted to respond with a somewhat intelligent paragraph. Thank you for taking the time to open my eyes a little bit more. Have a nice day.

The tonguing/articulation is just superb.
Wow...that really is a tangfastic clarinet piece. Sounds very complificated an all! :-) xxx
Love classical music, but then if you love music all genres are open and "If music be the food of love" live on and on and on in all formats ❤
Great recording of the piece!
A fiercely hard track 🔥🔥
Yep!
Una verdadera delicia escuchar este concierto, en el que el clarinete lo dirige!
Mark de Zabaleta
I love this song. I saw it in the movie The Kings Speech. Best movie ever. I also stutter in my speech, and I really related to his speech situation.
OMG I also did this for my grade 8 piece!
Truly sublime.
simply remarkable...i love it!!
It's just BEAUTIFUL

enchanting !
this would be easier to play....if I had an A clarinet......
Don’t wish that upon yourself it’s my audition solo and there’s so many sixteenth notes runs it’s not funny
this is REAL music
@lolstarz100 this is the clarinet version. The piece was written with strings in it because they compliment the clarinets sound rather nicely.
@bobresurrection

I love this! 🦊
I did it for my 1st grade solo and I had to play the whole concerto, it took like 20 minutes to finish the whole piece
This concerto was later heard in Predictable Classics.
Com toca la tia.... brutal. Una abraçada a tots els clarinets del món.
L'obra una passà com s'ho va currar el Mozart

All very very nice mozart's amazing etc etc... but what happened to the end??
@MusicLvr387
There's a Bb Clarinet and Piano arrangement available and its actually not that bad when it comes to price and whatnot.
This isn't the full first mvt? I'm suprised I didn't notice sooner it misses like the last 60 bars.
i smoke a cigar and drink a glass of wine infront of a fireplace to this song :3 makes me feel fancy
love it 5*****!

I'm going to be playing this piece as part of the second violin section, so I need to know what it sounds like. Especially my part.

@tangfastico It sounds so much like Brymer on his B&H 1010's, but I can't swear to it. If it isn't, it's someone who'se who's studied his technique, carefully.

If someone was going to play Mozart almost completely wrong, they might as well have a complete recording
Dont hate this guy jjust because you can't do it.
