Sergeant York was old school. Raised in rural Tennessee and a devout Christian, he was described from what I hear as very humble. Sadly, he lost so many of his friends and comrades in the trenches that when he came back to the states he was suffering like many others from severe shell shock.

Its not exactly about the 82nd Airborne Division. Its about the 82nd "All American" Infantry Division of WW 1 which later in the interwar-period became the 82nd Airborne. So just singing about normal Infantry in this Song, not Airborne.

The 82 was called the all-American they weren't air borne in 1918 Alvin York was a badass in 1918 he was the most decorated soldier in the us army he stormed a machine gun nest killed close to 30 Imperial German soldiers and took 132 prisoner
101st you need some schooling about Audie Murphy from the 3ID. Bad ass enough that after the war he starred in a movie about his life during the war. When asked about it he had this to say... paraphrased. What you see in movies is most times unbelievable. In order for my life to be put in a movie I had to tone it down. WHAT? So he is featured in Sabaton's To Hell and Back but it only tells a fraction of the dude's baddassery. Need to do more research on how he earned his medal of honor for instance... In any case more Sabaton please!
