this was a perfect trip report. i loved the calm vibe, how everything was described, and the voice over was *chef’s kiss* . your voice is very relaxing and super fit for the voiceover. keep up the great work bro, excited to see nee videos soon!
I am enjoying watching your flight reviews, being a newbie to your channel i can see i will be looking forward to upcoming new reviews of airlines.,by you all the best in 2023👍
I just flew both airlines In premium economy and I felt westjet won by a landslide. Westjet treats you like you are in business class. It’s premium cabin is to the left of the door with little division from business class, whereas air canada premium cabin is directly beside economy class with only a curtain divider, you board as zone 2. Westjet had better customer service and the food was so much better. The westjet cabin was newer and the seat was way more comfortable. I share a very similar outlook to your experience. The only downside to flying westjet now is that there are no more direct flights from YVR, now I need to take two flights to get to my destination if it is an international flight. Knowing this i would still pick westjet.
I was one of the first employees of WJ. when they started out with three 737 out of Calgary. WoW!!! They really grew and became an international airline in a realtively short time. Unbelievable!!! We wore green T-shirts and had to set up our computers every morning at Vancouver airport. This was the time of the first ticketless check-in.
I used to fly Westjet premium all the time before they used to also have a proper business class. Can you tell me how much these seats recline? They used to be very comfy and recline a lot - not lay flat, but enough to properly sleep. What are your thoughts?
I would say they probably recline a bit less than the seats you used to fly on. These probably recline a bit more than a domestic first class seat, but nowhere near as much as the older “business class” or premium seats. You can probably still sleep much more comfortably in these than economy given the width and recline though!
@ 6:15 ish you mention that you upgraded to prem economy on the day of your flight.... How much did this compare to if you were to pay for prem economy during normal booking? :)
Do you recommend preordering vegetarian menu in signature class? I thought then you can't order anything off of menu in flight if you do so. I'm conflicted?

Wow!!! Thank you for the kind words-I really appreciate it. Trying my best and hope to get better and better ☺︎
Thank you so much for sharing this! We just booked a long haul on premium economy so was so interested to see how it actually is in action.
The second smaller cold meal is to induce travellers to make food purchases once they land and are moving through the terminal .

Great video. There's not many current WestJet premium economy reviews out there. Well done!
Thank you! I hope to get better and better as time goes on!

Couldn’t agree more! I just recently flew air Canada in signature class on a 787, and overall quality is far better on WestJet in my opinion.
Travelled WestJet Premium last Feb, and found that WestJet helpers at automated check in were extremely helpful.
Loved this review. Can’t wait for the next one 👏
Nice video. Westjet seem to be getting a lot of great reviews, and judging by this video, it’s easy to see why.
Yes for sure! They’re definitely headed in a great direction, and hope they continue to get better and better.
This was great, keep making videos like this they are awesome 😃✈
Wow what a great video I'm a huge airline geek you are so professional well done 👍
Excellent aerial footage. What camera were you using?
Thanks for a great trip report. What is the service like in economy?
Did I miss the review of the seat and seat configuration in Westjet premium economy
They start Calgary Seoul servicd mid 2024. Looks good.

Wow! That’s must be pretty cool seeing where the airline was to where it is today!

@@jett.fueled Thanks for replying!
could have done with some more info like seat comfort and size, in-flight entertainment and cabin service, etc
noted, thank you!

Great video
Haha thank you!! This was my second one ever, so was a bit rocky. My newer ones are definitely less chaotic 😂
my favorite airline in Canada 🇨🇦 in which I have flown different aircraft Boeing 737.
Did your seat recline still being the last row in premium economy?
Yes it did!
Just curious how much you paid for the upgrade to premium on the way to the airport?.. im considering doing the sae for an upcoming flight.
It was about $600 USD back at this time, but I’m not sure if it’s changed since then. Def recommend it if it’s in budget and still an offer!
@@jett.fueled Thank-you

@@guytop2 hi! In business class in WestJet?
@@jett.fueled air canada business class
I see that they have that omelette for breakfast- do they have vegetarian options too?
Was the pre-departure beverage a mimosa or just orange juice❓
Just orange juice. They had champagne too tho so I’m sure you could ask for a mimosa!
Did your seat recline fully? Looks like you were in the last row.
Yes, it did!!
