Listening to this after reading two towers: awww so so sweet! And the harmony is absolutely beautiful! Listening to this after finishing Return of the King: *sobs uncontrollably*
I also saw this in London and it was the best performance and show I've ever seen - all the actors were at their best, perfectly cast for each role and especially those two, Peter Howe and James Loye, and Michael Rouse as Legolas. I've seen about a hundred shows in my life but I've never been as impressed as with this one!
@Hobbitmonster: Two hobbits, remembering their home, and marvelling at how they got this far, and at their friendship which has endured so much, and continues to endure it! Wondering if they will ever return home or not, I'm not surprised you felt like crying, I think I felt like crying the first time I heard this song too!* (Correcting errors in spelling and grammar)
@ashgraceface This actually is professionally recorded. I have seen this musical about three years ago. Think it is out of the theatres by now, but who knows it'll return to theatre some day. It was just a WONDERFUL show. Really, I'm glad I witnessed it!

@hobbitmonster Well it IS a moving song about friendship and facing hardships together. Cry away I say! I think this song made me shed a few tears myself, repeatedly!
:( They need to do this musical in Wisconsin. Come on WISCONSINITES lets hold auditions, cast parts, and make our own LOTR musical!!! :P Though this will be hard to compete with ;)
I´m a member of Finnish folk music group Värttinä. I´m glad you have the song Now and for Always on your channel. I have one small request: Could you please add the composer and the lyricist information to the introductory text. The composer is me, Lassi Logrén, the lyricists are Shaun McKenna and Mattew Warchus. You can check the composer/lyricist information on the booklet of the CD “The Lord Of The Rings (Original London Production) AR Rahman, Värttinä and Christopher Nightingale". Once again, I´m happy you have published that song, the actors did a great job!
Thanks for the heads-up! I've added the information about the composer and the lyricist in the description, as found on the Wikipedia website. You did a great job composing this song!
@@Xerazo Thank you for your answer! I would like to send you the pictures of the cd booklet, there you can see all the composer credits of each LOTR musical songs. Could you please send me an email: lassi.logren@gmail.com
Hi again,! Yes, AR Rahman, Värttinä and Christopher Nightingale were the ones who wrote the music of the musical Lord of the Rings. However, every single LOTR musical song is composed by just someone or someones of us (A.R Rahman, Värttinä members, Christopher Nightingale). I (Lassi Logrén) wrote the song Now and for Always. 🙂
Ah I loved this song from the performances. And to be honest, I'm surprised at how mature and non-homophobic all these comments are, seeing as Frodo and Sam's moments are at the top of the "Top 10 unintentionally gay moments"
Blunka796 It is Gollum at the end! He even reprises a demented version of this song in his number, which comes after this song: m.th-cam.com/video/AG582i9rgG0/w-d-xo.html
The musical itself is...not my favorite lol & a good portion of the songs are forgettable, but there's some real gems in it too. This one, The Road Goes Ever On, & The Cat & the Moon are very lovely
I thought I should try to be nice and ask permission from someone to use the music in the video I made in memory of our saintly Elder, monk Robert. It seems I can't ask it here when you don't have rights yourself, but I will try then to write elsewhere. Anyway, I used a clip from this video in my own composition, I hope you approve, it is here: drive.google.com/file/d/1WaNrnLPfi28sEwUMu0ks5x8FV3FIlWSy/view?usp=sharing
My good friend has made an animatic based on this song. She worked soooo hard on making it perfect so please check it out here! th-cam.com/video/h5HntgBgClc/w-d-xo.html

the warmth in frodos voice when he sings to sam is just to Beautiful!
this song just seems to capture perfectly the heart and soul of LotR. :')
This song makes me cry😭
“It’s not me they’ll remember, you know...? Sam?” :’)
I would give ANYTHING for this show to be back on... seeing it once was not enough
the sad thing is i was a literal toddler when this was on, just to see it would be so amazing, it's my favorite musical
It Will beeeee!!! Look it up on Google 😍
Shout out to its reboot this year hahs
It’s back. I’m going to see it tomorrow night Chicago with my brothers the end of the month.

One of the best friendships in the world
Thumbs up if Sam is by far your favorite character
This makes me cry.
+Kathryn ‘Kat’ Mankenberg IKR! It's too good.

No matter how many times I see it, beautiful simply the best. So once again ends the ballad of Frodo the strong and Samwise the brave.
Genuinely the best show I've ever seen in a theatre. Absolutely astounding from start to end. I saw it during its London run. Unforgettable.
12 years old and I still can’t stop watching this every now and then. Also still crying.
This makes me tear up and want to cry every time I hear the song. It’s absolutely perfect in every sense of the word.
The harmony is beautiful I could listen forever .....stories we tell will cast there spell .......
Now and for always.

I wish i could see the full show. Not only videos from it. 😢
This is way too good I knew they did a musical
Aw, their laughs :}
I loved the stage show I don't know why it failed
@LOTRFreakyFreak i think the laughing in this is implying that the characters are making the song up on the spot
Классно 👍💯
Вот бы посмотреть полностьу и с переводом ( хотябы титрами)
Én is így vagyok vele. 😅
