Were you the one who sang Lothlorien for the cast album? If so, I love your voice! I unfortunately live in the US and can't see this show. I hope I can someday.
I saw this on Saturday and I was hugely impressed. The staging and adaptation were superb and the actors were fantastic with some real stand out performances. The musical virtuosity of the cast was also hugely impressive.
I cannot express how excited I am to see this in a few weeks. I've loved the original cast recording for years, and so hoped it would come back one day. ❤
The production at Dury Lane is, to this day, one of the best pieces of Theatre I have ever seen. I will never understand those critics. I was lucky to meet the cast after the show, including the 4 hobbits, and they were all so lovely. I'm so glad it's now getting another chance to shine.✨️
I saw it at Drury Lane as a kid and thought it was spectacular - couldn't believe it got panned, and critiqued so harshly. Really underrated musical...
Because it not even faithful to the books. So it deserves it and deserves to be forgotten and anyone who worked on it barred from being on stage again in my opinion.
@@dane4073there’s no way on earth you could fit all of those books into a 3 hour stage run. It’s an adaptation and I think it’s a pretty good summary of the story. Plus, we all know Tolkien made this whole world and story to fit his songs he loved so dearly. He’d love a musical version of the show whether it’s accurate or no!!
I agree it was a spectacular show! So beautifully staged and the songs were amazing. And i loved how the hobbits and orcs went out amongst the audience! They definitely should bring it back x
I saw it, too. The songs and staging were great. The weak point was the text. I guess they had to shorten the text because of time issues and they lost Tolkien's spirit.
I went to see the original on stage 3 times, absolutely blew me away and I couldn't understand why they pulled it as it was truly magical. I had no idea it was back!!
This is beautiful - everything I hoped it would be after seeing the original in Drury Lane. I know this version will be different in scale, and can't wait to see it!
Absolutely loved this when we saw it last month! Fantasic work from the whole ensemble. My friend said as we left that they were dissapointed they wouldn't be able to hear their version again. They are going to be so excited when I link them this.
We saw this show on 2nd August having seen the previous West End Production we were not expecting a great deal, but we were blown away it was absolutely brilliant. The small stage, the Watermill garden element, wonderful cast and great production made a tremendous show. If you get the chance go, not to be missed.
NOOO I just went to look up tickets for this and it finished just over a week ago!!! I know so many people that have wanted to see this performed in any capacity 😢 I really hope it comes back
I know it was already over. But as a Tolkien fan, this was so beautifully done and I teared up listening to it. I wish I could have gotten the chance to see it.
I saw the original musical when it showed in London and was the first to upload the full soundtrack to TH-cam the moment I got home. I noticed a significant spice in viewership and commenters right after Hamilton was released. It made me so happy ❤️❤️ I hope the full musical comes back one day! I can't believe it flopped, it was an incredible show!!
Was waiting for this to come to LA but disappointed it never happened. I have the soundtrack and love it though. Played some of the music at my wedding.
I had not thought or heard of this musical in years, today I googled largest musical casts, and saw this mentioned…and the this pops up a few hours later…posted 22 hours before! So weird,
I enjoyed the London production years ago the music is beautiful only bad thing is how rushed and crammed the last two books are but it's a very long story so that was always a challenge, but still a great show I think I actually preferred the watermill theatre production I saw the other day the way it is put together the atmosphere and the cast as the musicians made it magical
This is so beautiful. It’s a perfect song for a musical adaptation of The Lord of the Rings. What I give to see this lovely enchanting tale in person. 🧑🏻🦱🧑🏾👨🏼🦳👣🎻🪈🪕🎶💛💚🤎
Such wonderful memories. Had the honor of ioriginating the role of Legolas in Toronto. Glad so see it back after all these years.

It’s coming to Chicago this summer!
@@susannarae5660 I got my tickets already!
@@movieforceofficial @GBVoiceAcademy Yeah, was this you in the soundtrack? What incredible music!
Just saw the news that this version is coming to Chicago Shakespeare Theater and I am deeply excited.
I feel like I've waited for this revival for DECADES, and, well, very nearly have! The soundtrack was always so spectacular.

This was the best thing I ever saw in the theatre. I saw it the day it closed at Drury Lane. Amazing musical
Saw it last night. It was incredible. Blew all my expectations out of the water. If you can make it please go.
I cannot express how excited I am to see this in a few weeks. I've loved the original cast recording for years, and so hoped it would come back one day. ❤
Saw it in London years ago. In my top 5 of shows I've seen. Very underrated musical!

Beautiful! ❤ Greetings from the first ever Swedish production of The hobbit (2024).
This is a brilliant piece of music. I wish I could see it in the theatre. I cannot stop listening to this magical piece. ❤❤❤

@@dane4073it's a re-telling. it doesn't need to be 100% accurate.

I've been obsessed with this musical, so happy it gets another chance!
Saw this last weekend, the best theatre experience I’ve ever had it was beautiful
I went to see the original on stage 3 times, absolutely blew me away and I couldn't understand why they pulled it as it was truly magical. I had no idea it was back!!
i saw the swedish musical back in 2011. and they covered this song so exceptionally. love this song with all my heart
I saw this yesterday and it was absolutely incredible. One of the best shows I've ever seen on stage, and that's saying something.
I loved seeing this in August 2023. Would love there to be a cast recording!

Saw this last night at the Watermill theatre, absolutely amazing :)
Been waiting for the revival since 2007 HOW DID I MISS THIS AGHHHHH XXXX

Such a phenomenal show, I had to see it twice 😅 It would be amazing to get a cast recording - I'd have it play on repeat!
This is beautiful!! 😊 just missing Frodo's verse about Sam!
I'm seeing it next month, hopefully Frodo's verse is in the show
@@Booton91 I hope so! Enjoy!! 😄
Saw it last night! Frodo’s verse is in the show
@ejq1234 yay! What was the show like??
I really loved it. It was so intimate and creative and the cast/crew gave it their all. They should all be very proud!
I know it was already over. But as a Tolkien fan, this was so beautifully done and I teared up listening to it. I wish I could have gotten the chance to see it.
Wish there was a OCR of the revised version. Loved the original.
beautiful job guys. so excited to see this show 🎉
IT’S HAPPENING!
I NEED this cast recording 🥺🥺🥺

Sounds like a new song and direction in the show
Obsessed! I’m so excited to see this in September! Just hoping Frodo’s verse is included too!
it is!! made me cry 🥲
I can’t believe this is getting a revival, unfortunately I don’t live in the UK
Wow, would love to see this, but I have no chance of going to the UK this year. Wish they’d release a proshot.
ahhhh this looks so cool 😫
I want a cast recording soon
This is a chiller version of “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” by Justin Moore, and I am all for it.
Please please make a cast recording album
Was waiting for this to come to LA but disappointed it never happened. I have the soundtrack and love it though. Played some of the music at my wedding.
Missing this production so much 😢
This is SO cute. Beautiful.
Can’t wait to see it 🥰 listened to this so many times already 😃
Please tell me there is a dvd version for this musical I really need to watch it please

NO SAM VERSE!?!!?
I need to find my passport now.
I need Frodo's verse too!
♥️♥️🫀
Well sung, but it misses the accent and feeling of the original London production.
They had a revival?!?!? wtf
Hololive Vtuber Takanashi Kiara came to watch this
Err..why are the hobbits wearing sandals?
For a live performance great big hairy feet are highly impractical 😂
