Im in Ohio and yes a person doesn't have to spend tons of $$ to get in to muskie fishing, I have accumulated a lot of lures and tackle and definitely have some $ invested but I wanted to let viewers know that to get started it doesn't take much
@@craigstuckey319 If you're using junk then yes but you can have a good setup for cheap that isn't junk. So many people just spend money on fancy lures and the nicest rods but don't put the time in to actually put any of it to use. Most fishing gear out there is to catch the fisherman and not the fish. Per you analogy, the guy with regular running shoes that actually puts them to use daily will have the advantage over someone with better shoes that doesn't get out as often.

I went maybe 6 days ago in the afternoon I saw probably 6-8 swimming near the surface they wouldn't bite anything was very frustrating, this one I was using a modified drop shot, I was there prob 1 1/2 hrs when she finally hit, I've heard the bite is on early after 9am they shut down

It seems like every time I catch a big Muskie I never have my gear with me. I caught a 18lber on 4 lb test a couple years ago. Nice fish too.

It's like having good track shoes. You'll immediately and always have an advantage. Fishing with junk is handicapping yourself.
