- Asher HaVon stopped by “Extra” just days after his historic win as the first openly LGBTQ+ singer to win “The Voice”! He reflected on how he’s doing, making history, working with coach Reba McEntire, and what’s next for him.
Asher is a humble young man. He never thought he was the best. He does so well with the interviews.

Was the best singer. Media should not keep bringing up the issue of being part of the gay community. He won because he had the best voice. More interested in what happens next for him. Hope he gets a huge contract deal with a record company. He can sing anything. He is a real wonderful person and deserves the best. Hope REBA gets him some big gigs as well as the other coaches to be a guest performer at their concerts while selling out his own. The sky is the li it. Best of luck.

I thought Asher would probably win after his duet with Ashley Crosby. Then when I heard Asher sing Titanium, I knew he would win. I am blown away by his range and his lower register often gives me joy chills. Top it off with he had not really sang much for a couple of years and his humility. Glad for him

Im shocked this show is still on. I havent heard any of these contestants having a huge career. I guess its just about the network making money off the advertising and watching for the judges.
That's the biggest criticism of the voice. America idol has had a few big stars.
Numerous singers on the show have had successful careers. Kelly Clarkson, JHud, Fantasia, Jordin Sparks and then of course Adam Lambert ended up as lead singer for Queen~touring around the world, not to mention performing at the Queen's Jubilee. Some country artists have done ok as well. That's a tough (crowded) genre to crack thru'. Reuben Studdard and Clay Aikens are still doing shows. All have net worths in the millions....I sure don't and I'll guarantee you don't either!

@@alicialynnette9889 No issue, calm down! I don't watch the voice as much because the show makes it too much about the coaches vs. contestants. I suppose any of these shows could give a person the exposure they need for a break.
