I can see the spiritual richness in her voice as was with Whitney Houston. Remember she is from the church and she sings with confidence because she has the church behind her with support of love! That's worth so much when you are young and walking into your dream!! Plus mum is really a big inspiration to her decision like so many young women developing their vision and their place in this society. I believe she has just been exposed to be presented her flowers of success. She is amazing and I'm proud to see young people acquire their vision and fulfill their dreams!!

Bukky has a wonderful richness and timbre to her voice. She's only 17 and her voice is going to become warmer and expand in her midrange as she gets a little older. It's unique in that she has a sound that we haven't heard in at least 30 years. No vocal gyrations and runs - she goes straight to the note with a purity of sound that Karen Carpenter had.

I do agree that Bukky doesn't need any of the vocal acrobats, she doesn't beat around the bush when she sings. She simply goes straight to the note and fully attacks it with a vengeance that we haven't seen EVER!
Females that can reach higher notes and sound good are a dime a dozen. I get excited when they have a woman with an amazing lower register and her is so rich and full but still flexible. Her voice is exceptional.
