@@GeusGames you start the game up two cards and a mana vs a mulligan, plus the ability to potentially storm off and win as you've already cast a ton of spells
Why haywire mite when you're on the draw against a possible chalice for 0? Is it only in the event they don't have it turn 1 so you can have a Lion's Eye in play?
I'm confused. In, I believe game 3, round 1, LSV mulls and has a hand with opal, opal, saga, ritual, entomb. He draws a third opal, plays saga and passes, then the following turn draws a bowmaster, plays an opal then passes. Couldn't he play the saga, play the three opals, tap one for black, cast dark ritual adding 3 black, spend 2 black on orcish bow masters, use the last floating black to cast entomb, entomb echo of eons, tap the other 2 opals for blue and the saga for colorless to flashback echo?
Maybe it's to Bargain it with Beseech the mirror? Could also just be late game cantrip and stabilize with life gain.. but honestly is there no other better artifact to saga for?
the theory is you just want at least one non-mana saga target and there just aren't that many that fit the deck. since you're usually only grabbing whatever goes into that slot when you're flooded this effect is marginally better than a chromatic star or whatever. he mentions lavaspur boots probably being a better target at the end of the video.
It has great synergy with LED, gives you some much needed selection and the life gain is sometimes important. With lavaspur boots, it isn't a often the choice, but it is still a fine card to have much of the time.
try a round or two with headphones on if its not too distracting, you'll be inspired to tighten up your audio game. your content and audience deserve it.
I fail to see how Haywire Mite is an effective sideboard card on the draw in a game 2 when we can't create green mana in any way after a Chalice on 0. Wouldn't a 2nd Surge Node just be better? Sure we an slip it into play if they don't have the turn 1 Chalice but then we're basically already winning anyway.
disagree. it has enough topdecks that just win the game immediately, and saga beatdown is extremely reliable. cantripping requires more colors of mana, and reduces the density of fast mana, which makes echo significantly weaker.
@@lane9668 Not to mention that the deck is focusing HEAVILY on speed since it has no way to interact with the opponent when they don't go first. When your disruption is minimal, you just need to be fast. So it's made to try and win early on the play or force the game into topdeck mode with a single Beseech likely winning the game.
Would it really have taken long to explain the Helm combo? Helm mills them until it mills X creatures, but Leyline means they don't have a graveyard, meaning that X creatures in the graveyard never happens and you deck them.
Just as a heads up to whomever signs off on this content, I have been watching every cube video from LSV daily for over a year and I used to watch his content on CFB many years ago. These days I refuse to watch CFB videos because your thumbnails make my stomach sick. Really hope the analytics and bringing new people MTG content are worth driving away old farts like me that hate how you present yourself.
the daily cube is great but i love seeing some lsv constructed
Agreed, LSV playing legacy is something else
No yellow raincoat? ;~;
yellow pancho is reserved for when BK is in the room
Lsv, im happy because you were born
isn't this hand at 24:24 fine? just land ritual ritual beseech for LED and echo with one black floating? Seems ok on the play
It seem, to me, to just be a mulligan for both players, since it does not actually acomplish anything, just gives you seven new cards.
@@GeusGames you start the game up two cards and a mana vs a mulligan, plus the ability to potentially storm off and win as you've already cast a ton of spells
@@nickk6556 Not up a mana since we played a land and have one floating(same as playing a land and tapping), but yeah, agree with the rest, I suppose.
came to comment on this but you already did :-) was a fine keep on 7 imo
I admittedly know little about legacy but something like pithing needle has got to be better than candy trail right?
candy trail's point is more to draw a card so its role is diff than pithing needle

Is the screen display a little pinched?
Wonder if in r1g2 it would be worth it for opp to chalice for 4, turns off beseech while making them more vulnerable to a raw tendrils or bow maaters
Round 2 game 2 couldn't you double ritual beseech into led and then cast echo instead of mulliganing

Mox Opal is legendary
@owenyates6046 I see thanks. I only play commander so I've never noticed lol
Hey LSV, long time fan! Do you have any recommendations for ways to improve strategically playing magic?
Loving the videos, hope to see more soon!
I have this deck built in paper! It's so much fun
Why Candy Trail? You boarded it out every match and I never got to see it do anything so I'm just struggling to figure out what it does
In the deck tech he says “Candy Trail to saga into”
@@nickspears8366 In case he really needs scry 2, I guess? I mean obviously as a one-of it's a tutor target, I just don't see what tutoring it does

I’m putting this together for legacy so I’m glad to see it in action.

getting t1d otd in game 3 of the storm mirror is the essence of the storm experience ❤
Some big plays! Love it. Felt cub ish
I know it's Storm but I'm still hearing the Colossus sound in my head
"Now THIS is podracing!"
Nice! Legacy!

He can get green mana through Urzas Saga.
@@mtgcubetube Oh right, that let's you get a 0 drop through a Chalice. Thanks!
It still doesn't look the best, but it's something :p
That first turn
Great video. Pretty sure the doomsday player forced pitching force (and leaving mana up) to hold up Stifle
Pretty sure that’s correct :)
No! This is Patrick!
Both sides pass for a million turns. "What a wild game." LSV, we have very, very different opinions on wild games.
Seems like this deck should play like more card selection
Yeah, I agree. We have a TON of ramp, but nothing to do with it half the time.
disagree. it has enough topdecks that just win the game immediately, and saga beatdown is extremely reliable. cantripping requires more colors of mana, and reduces the density of fast mana, which makes echo significantly weaker.
