If you want to bake these...take some Panko crumbs and crush them a bit finer...roll your tots (LOL) in the crumbs, spray with a little oil, and bake on a parchment paper lined baking tray....crispy, crunchy, addictive....Thanks for the video, Laura.
'You do you boo' this is exactly why I love you Laura, not only for your amazing food but also for your amazing personality xx😊😘 Sending my love from the UK xx
I love how "simplified" you make each recipe. My grandchildren love tater tots and love helping to make food, so I think this would be a fun recipe to make with them. Please do more recipes that I could prepare with them. Thank you, Laura!
Thank you for tasting and showing the inside at the end. So many chefs forget to do this. This step is what many of us wait for - to “experience” the last step with you.
I love her videos so much, she is an amazing cook, an even better person, so beautiful, and watching her videos just makes my day and increases my appetite
Wonderful recipe. Just a little tip from this part of the world, we boil anything with a little salt. So when we add salt later we just need to add a little because we have added some salt while boiling. We have our local version of tots too. Just take 2 cups of all purpose flour. Add some salt, a quarter tsp turmeric powder, half tsp (or more) chili powder, one medium sized onion, finely chopped. Mix together with lukewarm water. Batter should like that of cake batter. Lastly add fried anchovies into the batter. Use a spoon to scoop the batter and deep fry till golden brown. They're our fav local food. They're called 'jemput-jemput' or when translated it becomes 'invite-invite'.! We substitute the fried anchovies with shrimps, corn or boiled potatoes and carrots. Or just fry the batter without adding anything; they're great vegetarian bites. Try it!
+Laura in the Kitchen wish I could have a personal trainer like you to teach me how to cook because you are really very talented..... love your way of representing a dish and you are very very cute and beautiful love the way you talk😘😘😘😘💞💞💞💕💕
We call them potato Gems here in Australia. I love them. Definitely going to make these for my kids. Pffft pushing 30 and eating them with tomato sauce. I'm 34 and love them with tomato sauce.
Pushing 30?? That surprised me more than anything. I thought you were at least 10 years older. ;) You carry yourself much better and are more knowledgeable than any 29+ year old I know.. Great recipe, and I love the fact that you took texture in mind, and grated these. Perfect homemade rendition of the frozen American classic. I will definitely be duplicating these soon. Cheers Laura!!
In AC there's a restaurant at the walk called wing craft and they specialize in craft beers and specialty burgers but I love the short rib grilled cheese lol all our friends love the short rib tater tots and short rib burger!
Also, would you please consider doing a kitchen tour and a products you love video? I really like those, I often learn about new products and equipment that I can try out. :)
Dear Laura, I'd prefer to send you snail mail, but I can't let another day go without telling you how much I appreciate your enterprise. I'm a Nonna myself, but you've reinvigorated my interest in Napolitano cooking. My daughter lived in Campagna for a few years, and I became close with two families, one of whom must be your Nonna's neighbor. Your videos made me so homesick! I get a sense of your longing. Have you been to the Champs Elysee patisseria in Campagna? So good!
Laura could you please make a recipe of chipotle hummus?! I've been waiting for a good recipe to make some at home because I love that stuff soooo much
I came up with my own recipe except I don’t know if I should boil it or Cook it? 1.Have a Potato and Onion 2.Peel The potato 3.Grind the potato and The onion 4.Put then in a bowl and Mix 5.Remove all water 6.add seasonings Parsley Flakes Garlic powder Salt And pepper Add your own!
Hi Laura, I love crispy tater tots w/ketchup too. Could you do your take on a vanilla ice cream cake recipe? My husband Chris has requested one for his b-day. Thank you. ~ Jess
Laura Vitale, I love your cooking I have a lot of the recipes download it to my smart phone and this time I’m downloading the tater tarts do you want to show how to make it. Thanks Laura
Take a bigger scoop of potatoes and flatten them out and fry, you have hash brown patties. If you boil your potatoes a bit longer till soft and then mash, scoop, flatten and fry you have potato pancakes. Easy-peasy recipes.
I Love hash browns but my wife doesn't like to make them. So I have tried to make them with luck sometime and sometimes not so lucky. I think I will be better at this next time. Thank You Laurain
Laura you've inspired me to think about cooking i love to cook...I've watched you since I was three,I'm now 10 I love watching you and you make me laugh so much I LOVE you so much I wake up in the morning and say Oh let's watch Laura when I go to sleep I keep saying I'll watch one more video and I watch about 50 of them... in indonesia it looks like 'perkedel' the different is we steam the potato first hand, then shape it the way you shape, mixture with salt, pepper then fried
Good morning Laura, girl I've watched at least 5 recipes on tater tots. and I always check your video. I like doing cooking activities with my nephew, he's 10 years old. and a little picky with certain foods. but loves these. I only have red potatoes right now. and gonna make this Monday with him. for our afternoon movie. we're doing Dinosaurs. for the month of June.snd we're going to watch the Flintstones, and have these and his Dinosaurs nuggets for lunch. 😊😊 thanks again.
Hey Laura, great recipe!! Idea- You grated them after you cooked them but you could buy the already grated kind (frozen hashbrown potatoes) & then cook them aldente' & then go from there using your recipe. I think they'd turn out the same & you could skip a step in the process. OR you could grate them before you cook them if you wanted to do the whole thing. I enjoy watch'n your videos. Look forward to the next one. :)
My tots completely disintegrated while frying. Grated taters were dry, added all the seasonings and flour, shaped them without overworking them. My mistake here was not using a cast iron pan. I must have miscalculated the oil temp too. I did a "tester" tot. All seemed fine. I didn't crowd the pan with the first batch. They were frying beautifully. Then holy cow. The entire first batch completely disintegrated. Okay then. Second batch. Clean oil. Same pan. I jacked up the heat. 2nd batch fell apart too. Lessons learned. Cast iron pan. Use a thermometer.
This is a recipe that I wouldn't have thought to ask for but thank you for delivering! Excited to try 😄 just realized how much I've missed you since you stopped vlogging 😘
i really love her, shes like a sister teaching me how to cook
I gress
Aren't sisters supposed to be mean and judgmental?
@@venombug7476 Nah, the best sisters are only teasing at worst. And at best are your ride or die.
6:45 "and you can just pop them into the oven"
*pointing at dishwasher*
Good joke.Dishwashers and Ovens are Identical
