+Mark Polis:: I agree with you absolutely, dude... If you watch Terri Lynne's left hand work, it's not really functioning... all the best jazz drummers -- such as Art Blakey, Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones especially, Lewis Nash, Mickey Roker, Victor Lewis -- to name a few of the best -- they have as much work going on with their left hand as with their right hand, and it makes a lot of difference... For me, Terri Lynne does NOT swing, or enhance the piece, she just bashes the drums and tries to keep up.
Dragging
i think the tempo slw down?
I HATE the way Terri Lynne Carrington did this. So choppy. Victor Lewis swung the crap out of this tune on Serenity.

Terrible video: doesn't play
Barron is not following Stan he just keeps his same style going this is not the way Stan plays. He is more musical than just driving rhythm.
great musicians though sometimes, the magic is there, and some times.....good observation mate
pappawheely Many musicians don't know who they are playing with. So many jazz musicians don't think they are playing with others only themselves.
known a few myself
