As a Realtor (for over 20 years). I would say…. If something is really tearing at your heartstrings sometimes it is worth the jump. If you wait you may never find another home that matches that same feeling. So excited for you guys and best of luck in your search.
My husband bought his first house at a cocktail party then I came into his life! Out second home we bought because the location was perfect and the house was Georgian so no point viewing any others! We then moved from Derbyshire to Galloway, went into an Estate Agents office and explained what we needed. The next day received a phone call saying in an Agent's drawer was a house which would suit us. Back to Galloway, viewed farmhouse 2pm, bought it by 6pm as we sst in a Solicitor's office. 29 years later when widowed I downsized considerably and moved across to the Scottish Borders where I ended up in a two bedroomed cottage(end of terace)with half acre garden and one and a half acre paddocks for my horse, pigs and sheep. Fate put me here and it is perfect. Location has to be right and don't buy more than you need. Best of luck and a cosy hug.x
My parents were custom home builders, and developers, in the 60s and 70s in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State. My mother always said exactly what your dad said. View a house on a rainy day. If you respond favorably to the house under any of those conditions it is likely the house for you. The second look can always be on a sunny day. I can’t wait to see the rest of this series.
The Cotswolds is very homely. I definately got that vibe when I used to visit there to my family who lived and worked on the Cotswolds. Now I'm lucky enough to live and also work in the Cotswolds. Wonderful to join your journey Hannah. - Matt
How lovely for Roo to be near her little friend when you move. Usually if people re visit a house they are not sure about, the second viewing will sway them. You will notice things you missed the first time and you will either love it more or find it isn't for you. This is from someone in real estate. Wishing you all the best Hannah.
If it doesn’t invade their privacy too much, I would love a video with your parents talking about how they raised you and how you all have built a relationship that keeps you so close as an adult. I love the way you just hang out with them. ❤
The Cotswolds are so beautiful, my husbands Aunt lived there until she passed away. I loved going to visit her and she would show us around all the beautiful villages, really is the jewel of England ❤
The first home with the lovely garden etc seemed to hold a special place in your heart…even with the fact that you might not be able to renovate any of the buildings. My husband and I always go with our gut feeling when making big decisions. Having your family close by will really be lovely especially when you do start a family. As a retired military family whose husband would be gone for 7 months at a time (and didn’t have the opportunity to have family close by when we had our children), the best advice that I can offer is to be as close as you can to family and friends. And you can never go wrong with the beautiful sleepy area of the Cotswolds. Will you keep your current home?
It takes so much time and energy buying, renovating, as well as so much money in stamp duty and solicitors fees, moving fees etc. I’d say five straight in with a larger house that you will grow into. My husband and I bought our family home whilst we were still engaged, it’s surprising how easily a larger house soon feels like home and you can fill it happily! Then once we’d got married and did some work on the house it was time to grow our family and our son came along without any major upheaval or thought of having to move again. Got for the big house I’d say 🙌🏼💗
I loved watching this! My husband and I live in California but he’s British and we would love to buy a country cottage in the English countryside in the coming years, so this really inspired me! I love your dad’s tip about house hunting on a cloudy day to really know if you love a house. ❤ Excited to see what you decide

Have you come across your page and was instantly gripped and inspired 😍. We purchased a Grade II listed cottage (in Devon) and honestly I would say never discount a house/cottage because it is listed. We have never had any issues so far with renovating and the planning office have been amazing. They are keen to bring older properties into the 21st century for sympathetic modern day family living. We were approved to remove a structural internal wall between the kitchen and dining room and honestly had no issues. It was a little more expensive because of the planning but that was more because of architectural fees and not so much the planning. Our cottage also had a two story extension done in early 2000s so there are possibilities. Wishing you all the luck on your search (if you've not found the one already 😄). I cannot wait to follow along ❤️ xx
Like you say…just wait til you have kids, it’s like a flitting every time 😅😅 you sound so happy talking about moving to the Cotswolds. There is something about living in the countryside, good for the soul, and you can always nip to the city for a weekend break or for a shopping trip 🥰 Cotswolds is gorgeous ❤
I think the first house with the garden and the view. It would definitely be my choice. Such a beautiful setting. Probably would be wise to get back quickly for some more viewings on different houses just to see more options but if your heart strings are being pulled then that must not be ignored. Good luck 🏠🏠🤞
My experience of house buying has been it's so important to follow your heart and guts. The one time I chose with my head, because of a time constraint, the house never felt right no matter what changes I made to it and I was always very unhappy and unsettled there. I sold it two years later and eventually found this place which felt like home from the first moment I saw even the front of the house and has been my sanctuary ever since. 💗
Cotswold here we come!! So excited for this next chapter of you and Kenny plus rue next journey, can not believe the content we shall see once you move🤗
I am so excited for you! Closer to family and friends is important! I love how you can so easily navigate through change and renewal! Can’t wait to see what you guys choose 😊
Idk how I found your channel but it is amazing that at 2:34 is the airbnb cottage me and my girlfriend stayed in August bank holiday just gone. Small world 😆. Chedworth, right opposite a pub and good access to lots of lovely villages and towns.
Its not impossible to have an extension as long as its inkeeping with the property.i live in a grade 2 listed cottage thats 350 years old in cotswolds and have had a kitchen extension albeit all the plans take longer when in a listed building but its worth it.👍
I’m visiting the cotswolds in September (coming from the US.) I know I won’t want to leave. How lucky you are to be able to grow up there and return to raise your family ❤ I’d pick house #1 and I kind of think you would too…but maybe not for just yourself…
Ah just watched the vlog when you moved into your house you are in now- you were soo excited. You will just know when you find your next home. Enjoy the process, look forward to seeing it all unfolds. Glad your moving nearer your family, great support when Kenny is away. And of course darling Roo. So sweet. ❤

Love your videos. Very professionally done.Visited the Cotswolds and stayed at The Fish and went to the Fox. Had a lovely time on our mini break. Good luck in your house hunting.
House 3 and the area looked beautiful. 😍 I'm just very excited for you and any one you choose will be great! Looking forward to seeing what you decide and how you make it your own.
All the homes are so lovely. My recommendation would be to follow your heart. You'll never regret it. I would love to live in such a beautiful area like the Cotswolds. Whenever I visit England, it's the first place I go. Such peace and gorgeous landscapes. I am very excited to join you and Kenny on your house hunting adventures.
The Cotswolds has to be one of my favourite places - best of luck with your move! Stroud had a wonderful vintage emporium I've been to a few times. Although the town is a little quiet in the weekdays - very busy at the weekend though. As en estate agent I would always say if you can look past the surface and really see the potential - and if that potential fits with your ideas of the future - you're on the right track.

So excited for you guys (and Roo) 🤍🌿! Good luck on your new journey. Enjoy the process, and if I may suggest, choose the place that feels like home. Location and setting are crucial, but don’t shy away from Grade II listed properties-they are true gems. As an interior designer based in the Cotswolds, I can confirm that this process is indeed worth the time and, with the right professionals, can be so much easier. The Cotswolds has an abundance of charming listed cottages, and with a little love, they can become incredibly beautiful and rewarding spaces. Also, you truly shine when you talk about that first house! 😉 Trust your instincts! 🫶🏽🥰 xx
Enjoyed the video today. So excited for you to be buying a home in such a beautiful place and very happy that you’re sharing the journey with us. I liked house #2 but they are all lovely.
I’m so excited for you! I would 100% agree with your dad to always look at a house on a rainy day, but I think you will just know when it’s the right one 🤍
Hi Hannah, I have enjoyed your lovely video, Roo and your Mum's dog P...(?) frolicking around in the beautiful so gorgeous landscape of the stunning quaint picturesque Cotswolds so very much. I'd like to seeing more of "daylesford"-garden centre and this nice hotel you stayed overnight again. And I think, you should go for house #1, because I could really recognise and see how very much you've been moved in your thoughts and in your heart by that. Always follow your dreams and what your heart tells you despite of the brain sometimes says "no". This is the way, I'm doing those things. Every dream begins with the first step. Dear greetings from Dublin. Suschka Susanne 🏡🙋♀️😃🐶🏡
I would want to be near my parents as well if my fiancée was away for a while. I would sell the house in Manchester & use that money to get what I really wanted in the Cotswolds which would be able to grow a family. Doesn’t make sense to me to keep 2 homes when you don’t have any ties to Manchester. Will enjoy house hunting with you, 🤞
Hannah! Do not waist your time on al those distractions! Just join Kenny, enjoy the time together, even if it's in a place u do not fancy, but such time together will never happen again!
I'm going with number three. Number two's kitchen and back door reminded me of one of the places you used to live 😊 enjoy the process and follow your heart
I've never bought a house, but my parents have bought lots and they always say that if it's tugging the heartstrings it is most definitely worth investigating and seriously looking at it. But if there are things that just don't work for you and aren't fixable/changeable, let it go 'cause there will always be other 'dream' houses.
So excited for you and Kenny! I would say house 1 or 3 from what you saw today. House 2 doesn’t seem to make sense (to me) if it wouldn’t work for you living there full time. House 1 the setting was gorgeous and house 3 even though you feel it may be to large I’m of the belief that it’s always better to have more space then you think you might need than less space. In the end you and Kenny have to go with what is best for the two of you! Thank you for taking us along on this new and exciting chapter of your life!❤
I think you should jump on the home with the great kitchen, bricked in garden and the beautiful iron gated driveway. You also said it was great for the price.. it was also great from our view on here!!! 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
I reckon you've gone for house number 1 - you were so clearly in love with it. I think you could possibly work around the listed issue and just do minor changes that don't impede on the listing regulations. You LIT UP talking about that house!
The house number 1 with the garden and views looked incerdible, and i could almost feel your enthusiasm through the screen. Maybe have a good chat about that to see if it could work for you. Lots of love from Finland. xx Nella
The small amount of information shared about each house makes hard yet easy to say which fits you best? It seemed the 1st one with all the beautiful gardens and out buildings really caught your imagination.
I wish we could’ve seen a little longer view of the houses and the rooms excluding. The one in the family lived in, of course but from what I have seen, it’s quite lovely no matter which one you choose. I would love to know where you bought your pajamas and is it some thing that someone could order off-line?
I love that big mug at the end of your video, may I ask who makes it? Love the Cotswolds and since I'm currently stuck in a hot place, listening to the rain in the video is wonderful. Good luck with your choice.
A beautiful place to move to and it must be so hard to choose, as they all had positives. You did seem to love the grade II listed one, but I understand your reservations to restrictions. Think you need to look at more - you will know when you find the right one 🥰
Lovely vlog as always. I always feel calm watching you and look forward to your week. I would say cottage no 1 sounds like the one you are most interested in? Have a good week x
I’m just recovering from seeing the price of those organic cherries at Daylesford 😂£30/ kg !!! That would have been the price of one of those small cottages in 1700 or whatever 😃anyway lovely quintessentially English views and author of ! Thank you Hannah

Wish you all the luck in the world with your house hunting, have fun & enjoy, so exciting!!!!!! All the best from Jan
I think the sweet cottage number 2 is probably the one for the moment ❤. Thank you for your beautiful video ❤!
I loved your video Hannah. Thank you for sharing your future plans about your home in the Cotswolds!!
I'm going with number three. Number two's kitchen and back door reminded me of one of the places you used to live 😊 enjoy the process and follow your heart
Always happy to see your updates🤎
I've never bought a house, but my parents have bought lots and they always say that if it's tugging the heartstrings it is most definitely worth investigating and seriously looking at it. But if there are things that just don't work for you and aren't fixable/changeable, let it go 'cause there will always be other 'dream' houses.
I feel like the very first one will have a beautiful feel in winter.
That's what I was also thinking...snow on the hills
Excited to go on this journey with you!!!
One! The first cottage you said was everything you thought you wanted!
I think house number 1. Good luck with all the viewings 😊
I loved the kitchen space and light in number 3.
how wonderful! good luck with finding your new home :)
Sometimes the first house is the right house. Don’t be put off because a house is listed. You have to go with your gut feeling!
I loved number 3 because of the privacy. The garden looked so large, so much so that you could have a greenhouse.
I’m thinking perhaps the first house you toured ❤️
I wish we could’ve seen a little longer view of the houses and the rooms excluding. The one in the family lived in, of course but from what I have seen, it’s quite lovely no matter which one you choose. I would love to know where you bought your pajamas and is it some thing that someone could order off-line?
House #1, but any of them would be dreamy ❤
I love that big mug at the end of your video, may I ask who makes it? Love the Cotswolds and since I'm currently stuck in a hot place, listening to the rain in the video is wonderful. Good luck with your choice.
What a beautiful video! All the properties are sublime, as are the settings. Good luck with the house hunting!🍀
I think its good your thinking more with your head rather than heart ❤
I think #1. You will fill the house and love it.😍
A beautiful place to move to and it must be so hard to choose, as they all had positives.
You did seem to love the grade II listed one, but I understand your reservations to restrictions.
Think you need to look at more - you will know when you find the right one 🥰
You are perfect, for a loooooong day, walking!
Pleased to have stumbled across your channel, very much enjoyed a local wander around. Happy hunting! 🏡
Ps #4 looked charming, but I think you're swaying towards the first?
Love your navy cardigan in this vid! Where did you get it from? Good luck with the Cotswolds chapter! xx
Grade II listed place for sure!! This is the best one for you guys 😍
Lovely vlog as always. I always feel calm watching you and look forward to your week. I would say cottage no 1 sounds like the one you are most interested in? Have a good week x
Loved them all but 1 and 3 my favourite ❤❤❤ love Roo
I’m just recovering from seeing the price of those organic cherries at Daylesford 😂£30/ kg !!! That would have been the price of one of those small cottages in 1700 or whatever 😃anyway lovely quintessentially English views and author of ! Thank you Hannah
i think the sweet cottage number 2. Thank your for y beautiful video.
