I live near there they have a restaurant called yoders a ice cream shop and a couple of other shops near by I literally work in a warehouse where a lot of them work. I grew up around them my whole life to where it’s just normal for me but every so often I always here people say they never seen them in real life or they didn’t know they were in Florida of all places
Thanks for the walk. Growing up in Horseheads NY, the Amish & Mennonites used to come up from PA to Elmira NY and sell fruits, vegetables and some bakery items. When I was little we used to go to Elmira & buy some of there goods. And yes always very tasty.
Thanks for the shout out to Peter . The videos were terrific and thoughtful of you to recommend his channel. It is really a unique community.Think.. winter vacation in Florida away from the prying eye that is typical of these insular communities.
Born and bread in Ohio. Been here for 7 months soooo homesick, Plain city Ohio, Yoder's, der Dutchman , one of the best thrift stores on rt 42, lived in west Jefferson at the time, Yoder's came to clean out the cistern/ cess pool where I lived before I moved to west Jefferson proper , going to make the trip to Pinecrest it will be the closest to being back home
Turns out most of these trikes are rented out from nearby local bike shop. Though some are private owned. You should've rented one too and explored the area more thoroughly in amish style :3
I live a couple miles from here. In the winter the Amish from up north come in by the bus full and stay in Pinecraft and go to Siesta Key Beach. There are several Big Amish restaraunts that anyone can go to. They have the best food and are the nicest people.
Thanks for the video. There seems to be a lot of people at Pinecraft Park who are just wearing casual clothes instead on the usual Amish clothing. Are they all Amish people in your video or some non-Amish? I live in Australia and I'd love to live in a tranquil 'Amish' type of community and do my woodturning and other activities, but I'm not interested in the religious side of it. I love the community togetherness, but it looks a bit crowded! I need a much smaller community village of about 20 - 100 people so that it's almost always tranquil! 😂💕
Yeah pretty quiet area! Love it ! Read about Amish b4 and I was pretty shocked when I found out they prefer living in the past and reject modern stuff ! Thanks for bringing their world ! It was really cool and educating !!!
Thank you for a very nice tour. I've been to Sarasota many times but never knew tgere was an Amish community there. It's seems so tranquil without the cars. Totally different than Lancaster.
There are Amish in more than 30 states and 4 provinces of Canada. There are also very many other conservative Mennonite and Brethren who live a plain and very simple life similar to these progressive Amish. We conservative Anabaptists are found in most states. If you search us out, we might not be that far away from you!
Refreshing to see laundry (on clothes lines) drying in the sun & to hear nature's sounds (or just the quiet)---rather than the DEAFENING DIN of constant four-to-six-lane traffic (everywhere), which seems to be the 'new' Florida.
I wish it could spread out even more so I could buy a multifamily property there. I realize this is not likely to be a reality because rentals bring transients and sometimes crime, which no one wants, especially the Amish.
These houses do not have large amounts of land with pastures and barns attached, so there are not the facilities for horses or other livestock here in the suburbs on the edge of Sarasota.
AK you have a new loyal subscriber very informative and well done travel vids instead of getting in the car which is very hard now for me I can go on the trip w you Thanks again
We have them in Canada. They love to live the way people lived few hundreds years ago. They also live without light, normal washrooms as we know. They drive those weird wagons with horses that I did not see here and wore old fashioned clothis. They are mostly involved in agriculture. It looks like here they are more modern. Very interesting. Thank you AK for the show.
I'm thinking some are comfortable being filmed as I've heard the Amish are much more accepting of modern things when in Pinecraft. They even use electricity in their homes in Pinecraft.
Didn't know there was an Amish community in Florida - always learn something new watching ActionKid! Thanks for the walk!
I never knew either until I watched Peter Santenello!
@@ActionKid It's called "Minecraft, Florida" not "Pinecraft, Florida".
@@kennypalermo9071 It is Pinecraft, Sarasota, Fl

And notice that none of the bikes need to be chained up!
Actually they do. They have problems with people stealing them. At the park they don't chain them but everywhere else at stores they are chained.
i agree It is nice to see people around!
This walk through this community is so relaxing! I can see me living there. The simple life is beautiful.
On that walk around Pinecraft, I saw and recognized the house my father built there in 1946
TH-camr Peter Santonello was the first guy to discover and report on this community. I am happy Ken mentioned him in this video.

I love watching Amish people as they play ! They work hard and play hard Amazing !!
Thanks AK, I've always wanted to go to Pinecraft. 🙂

There is alot of bikes.
Thanks AK to discover me Crazy disney lady. It was so funny. 🌺
I noticed that a lot of the Amish houses in Pinecraft have huge bird houses. The Amish have always been master craftsman in carpentry!
There is a bus that leaves from Ephrata, PA (Lancaster County) once per week and drives to the Mennonite church parking lot in Pine Craft.
Last I knew at least three bus companies bring passengers to the Pinecraft area. In the middle of winter busses arrive at least three times a week.
this video very clear, good job

Nice walk and weather! Thanks for sharing 😊
Very interesting....would like to see you eat and sample the food/restaurants in your videos
Wow! Unbelievable views and pretty green village !!!
Fascinating to see from the cold, rainy UK. Thanks!
Excellent video!
Thank you 😁👍🏼
The Action Kid made to feel at home in Pinecraft.
I wish there was an Amish community here! That'd be cool I knew they were living in Sarasota. It's along drive from where I live.

Keep up the great work ActionKid! Love the videos 🔥🙌🏽
I absolutely adore this neighborhood 😊
If it's got 3 wheels, it's called a tricycle, not a bicycle.
Very true!
Thank you ActionKid , nice walk I like the neighborhood 😊🙏
Love the stream the walk is very nice and relaxing it's good to see people take care AK ⭐💙😉
Thanks! But it’s not a stream 😅
Looks like those you not from around here type places lol
No wonder I saw a few of them at the beach!
very nice video! excellent! Please film more videos of the Amish Country of Sarasota. How is their food?
That wasn’t so many bikes in 1 area. There were barely any. That was so many trikes, even better :D
Amish communities are a unique experience and eating at an authentic Amish restaurant is the perfect way to top off the day !! 🌷🥀🌹❇️
Thank you for video showing Wow! Beautiful house and be cool walk and comfortable bike ride wow! Nice 👍 👌 😀👣💙💚💛
Thanks for the video. Had a lovely lunch at Yoder's yesterday! It was delicious!
I would give almost anything to own a place there in pinecraft... my father sold the one that we owned😥
They have modernized since I was growing up in Florida. Nothing compared to our Old Order Amish and Mennonite here in TN and KY.
Hopkinsville?

As always great video....thanks!
No horse and buggy?
I always wondered if the Amish would object to my tricycle. Good to know the use them too hehe

Go to the Dutch heritage it's right up the street.
I grew up here man this is lit ❤

You have the best content on TH-cam, keep the great videos coming! By the way, when are you going back to NYC?
Thanks! I’m coming back soon.
Restaurant video?
One thing I noticed is no dogs
I didn't notice any young children!
I assume they don't show their legs. Looks diferent , hot weather and everything is covered up
I understand the Amish enter around November and leave sometime in March, so they avoid the summer heat with the long clothing.

Wuauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, que bonitoooooooooooo, que paseo más bonitooooo, con naranjas valencianas, que gracioso. jajajajjajaja
How do the Amish travel here from up north?
Que bello Lugar
Que tranquilidad.
Por favor alguien me puede decir como ir.
Hermosisimo Lugar.😘👍👋🙏🏼
Thank you
Do u have to have permission to be there? I'd like to visit
If you actually picked up any of the stuff you said you were picking up, that would be very interesting to see. Walking past a restaurant not so much
Older Amish can ride electric bikes when they reach a certain age.
Super
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Are there any snakes in Pinecraft?
are they ok with you filming them? It's my understanding its taboo..
I'm thinking some are comfortable being filmed as I've heard the Amish are much more accepting of modern things when in Pinecraft. They even use electricity in their homes in Pinecraft.
Very nice.
Why so short video?
6:52 he just ignored you
watch peter santonello video to this place :)
Was searching for minecraft
Excellent!
Can u live here if ur not Amish. I just feel it would be safer
Go to Dutch heritage
Kinda Boring town, nothing exciting except for shuffleboard crowd...what a change from other places in S.Fla.U raved about![LOL!]
It’s disrespectful to take video or pictures of them from the front. Please be respectful.
Excellent!
