The reek of human waste in the bay has been an issue for a loooong time, at least for as long as ive lived in the area (25+ years)...if you ever drive over the bay bridge, just roll down the window for a second. Youll probably smell it before you see it, but the water is BAD.

Unitary systems are a problem everywhere not only in SF. Older cities all have that kind of system and remediation is very very expensive. Basically it requires to build a new storm system. On the other hand the trillions of dollars we spend on the military would cover the cost in all major cities.
Man your right and it sounds nice but it don't work pretty much like everything SF does. Defunding the military is about as sane as putting dope heads in housing before treatment.
or maybe Ukraine or every other country we pay to like us. I say let California pay for that mess add another $1 to the gas tax to bring that to $3 a gallon gas tax.
We should have the police defunded to save even more money, and public schools closed to make way for centralized online learning with only 200 teachers in the entire nation.

Mission creek smells like 💩, I spent years working there and people spend so much money to live there, it’s next door to the ball park. So irresponsible of the city. So you have beautiful days there with an overwhelming stench, sucks!
