You know that "noise" they play at the end?...When the host Allison Stuart tried to go to commercial they started with the niose again...every time she tried to talk they would play as lound as they could...this happened like 5 times in a row!!! Laura PennyWise I agree, and I'd also put Melvins on that list. Although "undervalued" may not be the right term. FNM and Melvins are two of the most versatile bands ever. Most "influential" may be a better term.
I still listen to all of my FNM albums.I'm 47 now. When angel dust came out I knew it would too much for some people today. WE all recognize a masterpiece though...
I'm 42 and still crank my FNM CDs in the car. Epic and Falling To Pieces made me a massive fan at age 11 (plus I had a crush on Patton back then). When the girlies were falling for Vanilla Ice etc, I was crankin' my guitar along to FNM, Nirvana, Tool, Gunners etc. My main favourite lead of all time is definitely Layne Staley by far but Patton's a legend🤘🏻
What a band. Love how Mike Patton can seamlessly switch between opera and demented screaming. It's a real shame that Big Jim and the rest of the band didn't get on, as they were at their best when he was there.

Gleep Wurp This was a Viacom production, so it was a crowd of MTV vetted people. Apparently they agreed to play the 1st single "Midlife Crisis" but instead did the Fantomas style blasts of chaos and screaming and played "Caffeine" defiantly. This dismissal of the network's demand tagged the group with a "blackballed" status which was brilliant since the channel demonstrated that it wasn't loyal to anything.
Check the link to the special I posted above. Shows that they played Midlife Crisis, Small Victory and Caffiene. The one they bailed on was possibly Epic or some other expected hit. Yes! It's not easy maintaining aggression without having jumps in loudness. Gotta love him! People don't know how much focus and practice it takes to be that good.

These types of songs from Angel Dust are such a departure from The Real Thing. It speaks highly that this band was able to grow and improve so much.

After delivering the most awesome vocal range to these concert goers with such passion, I love how he ends it with ‘thanks kids’! Brilliant
Couldn't agree more, Patton's voice has matured which brings a new twist to the songs. Saw them in Paris, amazing performance.

Crazy good album, and one of the best live videos ive seen, can't believe the crowd isn't going crazy, its FAITH NO MORE!!!
You will have to excuse them: Their minds were being melted.
mike patton giving the proverbial middle finger to the masses of unconcious mtv sheep. What a masterful macabre circus ring-leader he was.
Faith no more is heavier than any other band I know. Heavier than death metal, and all the metal core stuff!!!
What about Portal?
They may play faster and more technical but I just dont feel the same intense aggressive energy.
Tom Sawyer They scare me D:
Portal is like listening to a nightmare.
yes. havier! and funnier at the same time. that's why we like them! ;)
Simply one of the THE classic rock performances. Mike Patton is king!
"Thanks, kids" :-D
Pour shame all over us harden into a crust (cement)

Better unsaid, so close
And it rolls off the tongue, almost
The world expects the pose, perfectly natural (loosen up)
Smearing wet concrete and swearing you'll never be (caught)
At your weakest, etched in stone
And we're frozen here, peeking
Almost, sweet talk, caffeine
Make contact
Up to my neck
I confess in quicksand
But it's so easy for you
There's always one thing
Do you have something to tell me?
Say something
Anything
I'm warning you
I'm warning you
I'm fucking you
I'm warning you
Relax, it's just a phase
You'll grow out of it
Believe anything anyone ever tells you

It's thing you hate the most
Nothing you hate the most
Nothing you hate almost
