I have the kitty creamer too. It is made in checz. And was given to my mother by a special neighbor in 1954 and it’s always been on the shelf above our sink when I was growing up. It’s now in my curio of priceless collectibles from special relatives.

I think it is okay to sell lovely items with small cracks and defects as long as they are pointed out, for those who would like special pieces but cannot afford the perfect ones . 😊

sigh.... have binge watched all most all of your videos. Love how you show so much even if it is not your style. I have watched several other peoples videos and they tend to only show items that they are interested in and nothing else. Face planted 2 times today as other you tubers picked up and then set down silver overlay because they did not know what they were looking at. I was very shocked when one of them stated that any thing that said made in Japan was vintage!
Everyone has their own way of doing things. I know a lot of viewers get frustrated with me for some of the same reasons, but different circumstances. 😅 I’m a sucker for the silver overlay-even when it’s tarnished. ☺️

Emily Malcolm I agree! We don’t have to have everything in one style. The odd pieces sometimes fit in beautifully even tho they are quite different from most of the things we usually like. Beautiful is beautiful. If you look at furnishings in castles, for example, the items are not just one style (although to many of us it seems to be.) And we just call it old until we learn more about It! When a piece calls to you, that’s your clue that you are supposed to check it out and even get it! If you love it, maybe it is supposed to be part of your life!

I wish stores would shut off the music. I used to enjoy the peace and quiet as I shopped. More and more it's loud music, ringing cell phones, screaming kids, mother's screaming back at their kids!!

I've been to a couple of Finders Keepers in the South. I don't know if it's a chain or just a popular name. They are more like flea markets here, but we do have a couple of sister consignment shops (not FK) that have dates on their price tags. In one of them, they have different fixed prices marked after different dates. In the other, if the item has been there 30 days after the date, they mark it down 10%, if 60 days, 20%, up to 30%. There are also clearance items for 50% off. It's nice to know that just the right item has been waiting at least 90 days for you to come along and find it.

Some psychology of our shopping style revealed! Enjoyed that story and the realness of a bankrupt checking account. I do think we gravitate to things that stir emotions and warm memories. The Limoge dish was probably painted by an amateur painter that did it for fun. That was a popular hobby for the late 1890's through the early 1900's- and there are still people that do this today.

Just wanted to share that I was able to snag the Blenko owl tray at a yard sale recently for a mere $10.00. I know you love owls.

The consignment store failed in my area because the owner packed it to the ceiling with most of his stuff. He was as disorganized as all get out. His record keeping was a disaster. If you didn’t monitor your own items, then more than likely you would never get payed when they sold. He closed finally. I am sure he closed owing many people money.
I despise dishonesty! Glad he closed. I live in the boonies and theres nowhere to shop. There's a couple of thrift stores but nothing worthwhile. You have to live in an area of prosperity for there to be measurable turnover. I don't! Much sadness!
