My Mom was a Ceramicist… aka a potter. We traveled and sold at art & wine festivals in Northern California… so ALL the pottery looks VERY familiar! I remember how she made similar pieces in the garage studio on the wheel, while I roller skated in the driveway w my sisters.

I grew up with parents selling at art festivals all over Northern California and Oregon. Jewelry and wood turning. I wouldn’t trade that childhood for anything.

THE BRASS PART belongs to what was once a brass bell. I bought mine in Berlin, Germany, back in 1980. I'd send you a photo of my bell, but it is packed away, and I am too old and infirmed to go digging for it, sorry. The bell hangs from the bottom, and you'd pull on the chain to ring it. Perhaps you can Google Dutch/German bells to find one. Hope I've been helpful 😊 PS. I just found a slew of them on Etsy....I better get someone to help me dig mine out! Their price is unbelievable 😮 look under French Door Bell, Monastery Bell , etc 😊
Colorado is one of my favorite states to visit ❤ We drove from Denver to Estes Park, hit up Vail, rafted the Colorado River at Glenwood Springs and then finally relaxed the rest of the time in Breckenridge. Man, that was good times🥹 You picked up great items on this trip❤❤❤

Hey, that's my local Goodwill! I remember passing on that vase because it didn't have a signature - so surreal that you picked it up! 😄 In my experience, the ARCs and Goodwills are pretty evenly matched. I shop both.
Just after you guys saw the slanted cups and saucers you looked through some stacked art and one of them was a photo of Wanaka which is in New Zealand. So cool to see a glimpse of NZ on the other side of the world. Hope you guys make it here one day, it is beautiful and great thrifting. We would love to have you guys x

As an ex-Denver thrifter, (moved to a little town in the mountains 4 hours away), I've so hoped you would some day experience the bounty of Colorado, Denver specifically, thrifting. I'm so glad the jewelry haul was successful, but wished you'd had more luck. Years ago I bought for a charity silent auction and found so many treasures. I miss thrifting in the Denver metro probably more than most anything else - well, maybe not more than my neighborhood fabulous Mexican restaurant!
I live in Thornton, CO. You went to the ARC stores I go to. Too bad when you didn't have time to go to the Brass Armadillo, or when you went to Ft. Collins, they have on College Avenue, 4 great antique stores grouped together. Next time you visit again.

We spent a week in lower Colorado this past summer, Pagosa Springs, Durango and went to Mesa Verde…get vaca thrifting sight seeing and just plain relaxing! Great content, keep them coming 🌞

That Brass mount might have had a Large Brass Bell attached at one time. I bought it for my Mom and Dad's 50 th Wedding Anniversary in 1996. Dad mounted it to a narrow Oak Cabinet Door. Makes it easier to Hang almost Anywhere. The Part you plan to make into Jewelry is the pull that moves the Bell. 🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹💠🔹 you Really Found some Great Treasures !!

Wow! This is the first time I was saying to you as I watched this video, "Wait! Stop! ... I want to look closer to that thing to your right, left of straight in front of you!" I think I even saw some antique Gallé glass (a vase) at one point too! What truly amazing shops you went into on this trip!
That was an imitation Gallé produced a few years ago from Eastern Europe. The chance of stumbling on a large genuine Gallé outside of a museum or a large auction house is very slim.
Just took a trip to Grand Junction in June. My Mom and I hit a couple of the ARC thrift stores and one GW. Love the drive thru Colorado beside the river. Love this video 😊

It’s so fun seeing you guys in Colorado although I’m over south of Montrose in the southwestern part of the state. There’s a great ARC store in Grand Junction that I like to go to. I’m going to be checking your sale out this afternoon. I recently bought a sweet turquoise ring at a pawn shop in Cody WY and now I want even MORE!🤗
Laura, the gold tone metal pieces reminded me of a black iron small dinner bell we have outside. The chain you would pull and the bell was on a small rod that was attached to the longer metal piece you have, 😊then it all connected to an iron filigree mounted plate on the porch.
You're missing the bell 35:39 in vid. you'd pull the "dragon heads" handle and it would make a bell move. So its for a front door but dont think its ever used like that. Me being European, I think they stopped making those for use after WWI,as it was high risk theft. And the war machine needed to be "fed". Its for decoration I assume.
Welcome to Colorado! I live in Thornton and I am at that mile high quite often! I have found some amazing things there. My favorite find was a Bitossi. Thornton has gone down hill. Sorry to your friend Nancy, but I believe the best Goodwill is in Boulder! That is where I go probably twice a week.

You have had quite an impact on my thrifting/collecting. I have always loved southwest design. Yesterday I found a pair of Kit Carson saguaro earrings for $1.00 at a garage sale and a very cool vase that I believe to be Raymor for $30.00. I’m loving the hunt!!

Beautiful country Colorado is. I was there many years ago and visited all the little towns on the way. We also toured the Coors Beer Distillery.

The “short table” was an ottoman missing its cushion from the mid 1970’s. We had the whole set in our living room growing up.

Laura, the gold tone metal pieces reminded me of a black iron small dinner bell we have outside. The chain you would pull and the bell was on a small rod that was attached to the longer metal piece you have, 😊then it all connected to an iron filigree mounted plate on the porch.

You're missing the bell 35:39 in vid. you'd pull the "dragon heads" handle and it would make a bell move. So its for a front door but dont think its ever used like that. Me being European, I think they stopped making those for use after WWI,as it was high risk theft. And the war machine needed to be "fed". Its for decoration I assume.

Welcome to Colorado! I live in Thornton and I am at that mile high quite often! I have found some amazing things there. My favorite find was a Bitossi. Thornton has gone down hill.

Or another good one is on south Broadway,like just blocks north of Alameda.
@@dianab6852 oh yes been there many times 😊 I actually got my favorite painting from that location. But to be honest with you going downtown, does kind of scare me nowadays. In Boulder I found two glassybaby.
