A little disclaimer: Bluey is not owned or created by Disney at all. It is rather made from Ludo studios and ABC down in Australia, they’ve just given the international distribution rights to Disney. Also as a fun fact Bluey is apparently Australias answer to Peppa Pig
Disney also has censored some episodes as well, like they got ludo studios to change capsicum to peppers in the international version. Also, they cut out bandit getting hit in the croch in born yesterday. There are more examples, but those are the ones I can think of.
@@ego-lay_atman-bay A big example is in the episode "perfect" Bandit was talking to his friend about getting "snipped" but Chili wants to keep her options open, they changed that convocation to getting dog teeth pulled and what if Bandit wants to bite someone

“What’s with all these grown up men keeping pieces of a childhood map in their wallet?” Uncle Rad is clearly holding onto memorabilia from the last time he was *truly* happy. He hit his peak at six years old and everything has been downhill ever since.

Why is this the last video he uploaded before announcing his retirement? It felt so out of nowhere to me. Like yesterday I was just watching him play this silly Bluey game and then the next day he tells us he's leaving youtube. Ouch my heart. Thank you for the years of content Matpat it's been wonderful watching you.
I bought this game for my 3yo and the only thing it's taught her so far is how to take breaks 😂 I'll say "you got this, don't give up, keep going" and she'll say "I think I'm all done playing Bluey for now" 😭
Kinda wondering what the future of this channel is going to be. Matpat said he'd be on GTLive until the end of summer, but I wonder if those are just going to be backlog uploads or what. I do kinda hope this channel just becomes a casual gaming or reaction channel or something, I do genuinely enjoy these.
Hey Matt I just came from your GameTheory upload. We're really gunna miss you, yk? That video had me crying the whole time, like full on sobbing. I wasn't just sad, though. I'm happy that you are taking this step for yourself. It's gunna be hard, and we're gunna miss you, but its just going to make it even more exciting when GrandPat comes to visit us ❤❤❤❤❤
I have a Bluey theory that sleepytime was chilis dream. I heard once a dream is the last line 5 minutes of your sleep. I think it tells the tales of lose and hope. I think it speaks to her relationship too. Bandit was represented as Jupiter and this might be me nerding out but Jupiter stops a lot of the potentially catastrophic disasters due to it drawing them in. So Chili is the sun the creator of life while Bandit is the protector of life. Also the song is Jupiter bringer of Jollity. He brought joy back in to her life.
Love all the other channels but watching Mat on Gtlive really kept me going through some of the hardest points in my life. I've watched you play some of the coolest and silliest games but I will miss the witty banter absolutely the most. Clap and a half to you Mat and Steph❤❤❤

I would LOVE a "how to raise a gamer" video or series, not just for parents, but for older family members in general- I grew up playing games on my own and with my dad, but I've also as I've gotten older had to teach my younger cousins how to game, and they're obviously playing a lot on their own, but I've also noticed that sometimes they struggle to understand certain layers of complexity- Like more "casual" fighting games for example, not like Street Fighters or Mortal Kombats, though those would also probably be something they struggle with- But stuff like where there are simple combos and multiple game mechanics for them to interact with. Like a lot of the anime fighting games from Bandai Namco, or the old wrestling games from like THQ and stuff like that- I've noticed them making seemingly simple mistakes, like not continuing a combo by continuing to press a button, or not looking at what their move list actually is and just button mashing and expecting things to happen, or not realizing that certain moves may only be tied to certain characters. They got the basics but struggle with the intermediary stages of actually being fluent in games.
If you want some tips for playing with younger gamers, here's some things that have worked for me, my little brother, and countless younger cousins! For fighting games, what my dad did was model the behavior for me in the first place - so, when he selected a character, he would pause and pull up the move list, then let me do the same - this helped me not feel bad for not having memorized things I /couldn't/ and put together that the cool combos I saw on the screen were something /intentional/ and something I could control. Even if I was too uncoordinated to /press/ the buttons fast enough for the combos to register, I was able to slide my fingers over the buttons and get them to work. My dad also had handwritten all the combos and fatalities (my first fighting games /were/ Mortal Kombat lol) in a notebook, and he'd open it and have it placed in front of us at the relevant pages - then, we'd have rounds where it would be "practice" or "let's see all the cool animations", where we'd take turns going through them. Just practicing together was fun, and my lil bro and younger cousins never complained when I've done similiar things with them. Having fun with 'watching the animations' also makes it fun when they lose normal rounds, because they still get to see new things, and makes it more of a team effort than anything. But yeah, depending on how old the kid is, some things might be out of their grasp developmentally. Some games need their combos to be inputted quickly, while others have some leeway on the exact timing needed, either of which can effect if the game accepts their button mashes or not. It takes time for kids to 1)memorize a combo 2)memorize which character it applies to 3)translate that combo from their head to actual actions where they hit the correct buttons and 4)they do so fast enough the game registers that it's a combo and not seperate moves. They'll get the hang of it eventually though!
I'd always say for raising a gamer, yeah it'd depend on what sort of games and concoles you're hoping to encourage, but point and click PC games are definitely the easiest to start learning mechanics of games. My sisters and I started childhood watching my Dad play games on the old mac - this was back when the logo was still rainbow striped. We had Return to Zork, Myst, King's Quest VII, The 7th Guest, and Inherit the Earth. Only two of those could be considered child appropriate, and even then definitely not children as young as we were. We then had some very simple games on the computer that were literally designed to teach kids to point, click, drag, and basically use the mouse and keyboard, whilst entertaining them with a story that may or may not have been educational. As we got a little older, we started playing games by ourselves. Some of these had free movement with the mouse, some of these involved using the keyboard to move in a 3D environment whilst clicking to interact, some of them required us to actually think about what we were doing - because you had to click on your chosen action button and then click on the thing you wanted to do that action to. So getting used to free movement, thinking through your interactions, and using keyboard and mouse at the same time to do different things - ie, using both hands to manouver controls simultaneously. That put us in good stead for moving onto console games, which are great for learning using multiple different types of controles (joystick and buttons, for example) at the same time with both hands. Moved onto Wii which required the hand eye coordination with two different hands at once, and Nintendo DS games which required quick movements with the stylus or arrow keys, which tested our ability to react super quickly for combos and button mashing. What also really helps is if you can stumble upon a really good series or production company, churning out stuff that the person is actively interested in. Before they changed everything, HER Interactive were pumping out fantastic long run PC games a couple times a year; as a little kid I liked Nancy Drew, so a very well made game series of the books grabbed my interest. I also loved mythology, so I of course fell in love with Age of Mythology, which got me trying Age of Empires, and caused me to realise that hey - I quite like strategy battle games. And then another series I liked released something similar for a different console, so of COURSE I had to try it out, which got me started on other consoles besides the PC. POINT IS - tie it into something they're already interested in, they will try it out, and if they love it they will naturally end up branching out into other stuff related to it. So that's my 3 tips: 1.Start off early having them watch you play games, even if it's games too advanced for them. 2. Have them do their first games playing simple point and click games on the PC to start getting used to controls and mechanics of gaming. 3. Introduce them to games that directly relate to things they are already interested in as the gateway games.
coming back after the announcement to say that GTLive is definitely going to be where I miss Mat the most. His and Ash’s dynamic is top notch and this channel is such a comfort channel for me. Going to miss hanging out with y’all here 🤍
I’m so excited for this game because my niece is obsessed with it recently and I want to know the lore 😂 it’ll just be an awkward silence when she plays and I’ll know the deep truth…amazing!
Back when I was a child, my father was absent (and he still is) and my mom used to work until 8:00 p.m. or so. I was alone at home, usually terrified because, well, I didn't feel completely safe. Unfortunately, we didn't have the option of a babysitter or someone to stay with me until my mom came back home. The only way I found comfort was through watching your videos and your fun and quirky way of narrating stories and theories. I know it sounds cliche, but you retiring is kinda like losing a second father figure. And well, even though you don't know me and I probably don't know you that much, I just wanted you to know that you made a small child feel safe from the other edge of the world, and now that the child has grown up to be an English teacher aspiring to get her ph.D. In Linguistics, you've made her busy days a tad bit better. Thank you for all these years and all the memories. I wish you and your family all the best. ❤
Lowkey hope he still updates this channel randomly even after summer with maybe games he looks forward to, or indie horror videos since it’s basically a react live video. It’s always fun to hear Ash and all the others do their “witty banter” with Mat throughout whatever they’re more or less focusing on lol
I love Matt’s disappointment with the Keepy-uppy mini game😂 It really shows how companies assume that children won’t have the attention span to keep up with these things. And by extension, they end up fueling that causing children have lower attention spans or seek entertainment elsewhere. The same has been happening with these gosh-awful shows. Bluey is cool though. Lord knows I’ve seen them all several times at this point with my siblings.
after hearing about mats "retirement" i really hope this channel stays and turns into his own just gameplay channel along with tom playing some games as well if wanted, i need mat on this channel to keep my sanity even if its not theories and its just him enjoying new games or what not 😭😭
This kinda makes me grateful for my first video game, a ds game called Pinkie Pie’s Party. It was basically a collection of simple mini games with an overarching “story” of Pinkie Pie helping her friends set up her birthday party. You got to explore a town and find secret presents, and I would spend hours going back to different ponies to replay their mini games. The game never forced the story along, and even after the story was over, you could go back to exploring the town, replaying mini games, and playing with the presents you found around town. Even when I got older, I would still revisit it to replay some of the mini games, or even reset the game to play the story again. It never felt handholdy either, there was no “auto win” option on any of the games. Your only option was to develop better timing and motor skills, which was pretty easy looking back, but at the time completing a game I wasn’t good at felt like the worlds biggest victory.
Watched this video on my lunch break and laughed, watch the main channel video over dinner and cried. I hope you and Ash get together and make some of these once you step down, these videos feel like home
Omg I am returning to watch this after MatPat just announced that he’s leaving the internet. I’m at a complete loss I recently decided to cut back all my content to one financial channel, two decluttering, and GTLive. It feels so unreal They never even made a new intro! lol
Honestly I have to say, this is the most entertaining and adorable thing I’ve seen all day. Not only MatPat’s dad energy throughout the video, but as someone who’s never seen a single Bluey episode in my entire life, just the characters themselves are so wholesome and cute
Yeah I'm not a Bluey fan and I don't have a problem with the game other then the price. 40 dollars is crazy for this. About 5 or 10 would be more reasonable but I've definitely played free games like this as a kid.

well, he thought that he already knew the answer so obviously he wouldnt google it, and this is just gtlive not gametheory. no reason to research if they think they already know the basics
dude im also a grown woman who will watch Bluey by herself... it reminds me of myself and my older sister. We even had similar personalities and it just makes me want to call up my sister and thank her for being there to bring me out of my shell.
I think the part that frustrates me the most about “princesses can’t play floor is lava” is that there’s a whole episode about them being princesses and going on an epic quest!! The whole point was that Princesses don’t just sit around!!!!!
It's convenient that I have finally seen some of Bluey in the past two weeks. All it took to get some exposure was visiting my sister who has a toddler.
I grew up with Dragon Tales Hide and Seek, Blue's Big Musical, My Disney Kitchen. My sister had a ton of Dora games and such and their buttons at least worked 😂 It sucks seeing kids games being less put together and not really letting kids play around (the time I spent in Disney Kitchen just playing with the food and looking at the irl recipes was crazy).
Seeing all these comments just hours away from the absolute bombshell he dropped a little later is like seeing someone going about their day like normal right before a terrible accident.

I will miss GT Live soo much, you guys really got me through my first years of college and I’m so grateful for that! I really hope Ash sticks around!
Yeah I’ve been think about this a lot as well and I really hope we’ll get to see may hop in every once in a while here
Hey Matt I just came from your GameTheory upload. We're really gunna miss you, yk? That video had me crying the whole time, like full on sobbing. I wasn't just sad, though. I'm happy that you are taking this step for yourself. It's gunna be hard, and we're gunna miss you, but its just going to make it even more exciting when GrandPat comes to visit us ❤❤❤❤❤
God coming back to finish this video after watching the game theory one is heartbreaking
i’m crying right now since we just found out you are leaving! love you matpat❤❤❤ much love for you steph and ollie!!
Ollie is getting into Gravity Falls?! Mat is raising a true theorist 😂😂
We’ll miss you on the couch grandpat, but I hope you fully enjoy your (semi)retirement ❤️
Love all the other channels but watching Mat on Gtlive really kept me going through some of the hardest points in my life. I've watched you play some of the coolest and silliest games but I will miss the witty banter absolutely the most. Clap and a half to you Mat and Steph❤❤❤
I’ve always waited for games to come out so I can see you play them. Fnaf, poppy playtime, etc. any games I get excited to see you play, finding the secrets and seeing you genuinely excited. We will miss you MatPat. Thank you for everything.
So Ollie has some power over what gets covered huh? And hes interested in Gravity Falls; he should definitely check out The Owl House
Here after the “goodbye internet” video. Kinda crazy to think that this might be the last gtlive with MatPat. We’ll miss you ❤
Bro did not watch the video 💀
He's not quitting Gtlive until roughly the end of summer, lol.
Just ending the normal Theory videos by him in March.
@@AceFaz In the video he said he was giving the channel to someone else, it was also a horrible time to announce this now that the Spambots in his comments are going to go crazy and be very happy
@@UhhhIDontKnowEither
Yes, I know that...
That is Literally what I said..
Watched most of this before the announcement and coming back to finish it is just so sad. I hope we continue to have plenty of Ash as MatPat moves on. This is truly the end of a youtube era
I would LOVE a "how to raise a gamer" video or series, not just for parents, but for older family members in general-
I grew up playing games on my own and with my dad, but I've also as I've gotten older had to teach my younger cousins how to game, and they're obviously playing a lot on their own, but I've also noticed that sometimes they struggle to understand certain layers of complexity-
Like more "casual" fighting games for example, not like Street Fighters or Mortal Kombats, though those would also probably be something they struggle with-
But stuff like where there are simple combos and multiple game mechanics for them to interact with.
Like a lot of the anime fighting games from Bandai Namco, or the old wrestling games from like THQ and stuff like that-
I've noticed them making seemingly simple mistakes, like not continuing a combo by continuing to press a button, or not looking at what their move list actually is and just button mashing and expecting things to happen, or not realizing that certain moves may only be tied to certain characters.
So that's my 3 tips:
1.Start off early having them watch you play games, even if it's games too advanced for them.
2. Have them do their first games playing simple point and click games on the PC to start getting used to controls and mechanics of gaming.
3. Introduce them to games that directly relate to things they are already interested in as the gateway games.
What will happen to GT Live? I’m gonna miss this so, so much.
Yes I really need to know cause out of the 5 channels and out of all TH-cam channels this one is my favorite I watch probably every day
he saod he'll still do gtluve till atleast the end of the summer idk about after that and I'm afraid to think about it😢
Ash confirmed on Twitter that GTlive will still continue after MatPat's departure.
@@fromgreattobrilliant922 🙏😭
@@fromgreattobrilliant922but will matpat be back for it?
coming back after the announcement to say that GTLive is definitely going to be where I miss Mat the most. His and Ash’s dynamic is top notch and this channel is such a comfort channel for me. Going to miss hanging out with y’all here 🤍
WELL THIS IS A SHOCKINGLY WHOLESOME VIDEO TO MAKE JUST BEFORE DROPPING A HUGE BOMBSHELL.
I’m so excited for this game because my niece is obsessed with it recently and I want to know the lore 😂 it’ll just be an awkward silence when she plays and I’ll know the deep truth…amazing!
Watching every little bit of MatPat concent trying to cope with the news that he will retire soon. I'm going to miss all of this. So much.
I’m so glad Mat is staying on GTLive, this is the one channel where no one could replace him
he’s leaving at the start of summer :(
Ollie watching gravity falls is so funny when you consider who his dad is
I came in expecting lore and just general witty banter.
I didn't expect game design lessons reminiscent of GMTK from Matpat. Thank you.
i love how half the comments are "bluey lore!?" and then the video from earlier today of mat's departure and the rest are just "big sad :("
bluey is one of the most amazing shows with episodes that have deeper meaning and amazing stories for being 8-10 minutes long
let’s just hope that our dear Matrick Patthew stays on the GTLive channel.
This was my first game too! I remember doing the balloon blowing up so much, thanks for the memory lol
I remember that game! It wasn't my first but I vividly remember it!
It feels so unreal
They never even made a new intro! lol
Honestly I have to say, this is the most entertaining and adorable thing I’ve seen all day. Not only MatPat’s dad energy throughout the video, but as someone who’s never seen a single Bluey episode in my entire life, just the characters themselves are so wholesome and cute
I’ve been waiting for some more Bluey and some more GT Live. I’m sorry but $40 I could never no matter how much I love Bluey.
Yeah I'm not a Bluey fan and I don't have a problem with the game other then the price. 40 dollars is crazy for this. About 5 or 10 would be more reasonable but I've definitely played free games like this as a kid.
Yeah like security breach is a much as this Bluey game
thank you matpat for everything you’ve done. you’re my childhood and have inspired me in so many ways. we’ll miss you a bunch ❤️
No one could’ve expected for him to leave the main channels with this spirit
38:16 "Those are the most aggressive sprinklers I have ever seen" Next-level Sprinkler Time (also, Bandit is kinda doing the Sprinkler Time dance in the "loading/transition screens") 💦🌱
Watching this after the retirement announcement and it’s so sad
19:35
Mat: "The amount of pelvic thrusting in this game is vary alarming"
Ash and Me: "why would you say that?"
11:50
Sorry, I couldn't help laugh so hard at MatPat's reaction here!
Gonna have to savour the last of these hosted by Mat
11:55 “Let’s go play with that GYATT!” “W H A T ? ?”
Stages of grief - Bargaining, can't you stay on GTLIVE forever??! 😭😭
I've never felt such offense on Bluey's behalf about Mini Bluey episode smh. Bluey is wonderful.
He was flabbergasted that it took two hits for keepy uppy
Omfg the way the characters take pauses in their walking to stare into your soul im deeeeeaaaad
was not prepared for the first thing i saw today to be MatPat playing Bluey 😅
Petiton to keep GT LIVE Alive forever just for fun. I just want to watch MatPat play games
Signed by me
Same, GT Live has become a part of my routine and I love Mat and Ash's banter.
@@hoziersexual he said he just wants to play games and not worry about theories if he stays on gt live It will help me cope with him leaving the other channels. He could probably do even longer episodes too!
Signed
Did anybody else notice at 6:25 when Bluey goes to wake up Dad his sprite glitches and you can see a Grey line go through his body
It happens to bingo too at 44:55
39:14 "Also, speedrunner strat here" It's all a matter of labeling: say it's a slowrunner strat and you're good 😛
Mat talking like Bluey is a Disney IP is shocking to me. I know that normally he and the team are normally very good about research and I'm surprised that in the opening blurb that they don't mention Ludo AT ALL. Distribution rights don't make something belong to a company (something Netflix is very guilty of as well)
well, he thought that he already knew the answer so obviously he wouldnt google it, and this is just gtlive not gametheory. no reason to research if they think they already know the basics
dude im also a grown woman who will watch Bluey by herself... it reminds me of myself and my older sister.
Only Matt come do such an amazing intro 😂😂😂😂 lol this made my day ❤
who else hopped over here after the goodbye episode
Me
I love you matpat!!! Keep this channel running forever!!!
Watching this after seeing the the goodbye video..
This isn't the video we wanted, but this is the video we needed.
Matt referring to how rich they would have to be in Australia is funny since chili is it airport worker and Bandit is an archaeologist both of which don't make insane amounts of money lol
Especially since depending on Where you live in Australia and which suburbs; houses like these can be reasonably affordable.
4:55 aww, ollie is becoming a big boy :( it feels like he was born yesterday
