Wow. This is so simple and effective. No words for how mad I am that this idea never popped into my head. Literally every one of your videos has something to teach!
StiltbeastStudios oh hehe, I've been living out in Vietnam for the past 6 years. Now we're working on going back. Mostly lived in CO in the US, almost 20 years
It's funny, just as you said about slapping your forehead and saying "Why didn't I think of that?" I had just gotten done doing that very thing. Dude, you're awesome. The tongue was pretty cool too. Your channel is a cosplayer's dream.
Excellent video....I thought for a second that you were going to use a set of knee high stockings and roll it down the cups....but the foam works much better....
I had a feeling those were cups when I saw your costume. great idea and awesome costume! I actually would like to see how you wired those to the mask , because I'm sure if I wired them they would pull thru the mask. thanks for the video!
My favorite day of the week. I always look forward to your videos. What a cool way to make Krampus horns and tongues. Have I told you lately that you rock? Thank you for the great videos.
Thank you so much for that video. I was wondering how do you place that forked tongue on a latex mask without it ripping from the weight of the tongue? Will it make the jaw drop too much and ruin the effect of the mask? Again, Thank you for your creative insight. I hope to see more Krampus instructional videos, Great stuff.
(Oops...meant to comment on the Krampus Suit video but auto-play brought me here. Oh well.) Great video! I never would have thought of shaving down the fur on the chest/abdomen, but I like the way that turned out. Question: is there a part 3 that shows the legs? I can't tell from the opening of this video what the costume is like on your lower half. (I'm working on a Krampus costume for a Christmas-time charity event and so far your tips and videos have been indispensable!)
Thanks for the reply! That makes sense; pants are tricky! I'm planning to have my 'tunic' go down pretty far as well, so I should be able to replicate the chaps idea. Thanks again for the reply and the inspiration.
I'm speaking from a complete lack of experience here but as far as getting the wires into the tongue, wouldn't it be easier to just cut half way through along the length, lay in the wire and glue it shut?
I've got a mask that I ordered and the paint isn't what I would want it to be. The flesh tone looks yellow. Can recommend a good flesh tone paint for latex?
+collinE83 a lot of options open up in construction techniques when you are fluent in many skinning options, add this to your toolbox and see what you can come up with- Go make stuff!
Every time i watch one of your videos I slap myself at how simple your ideas are!! You sir are a genius!
+Robert Kelly I hope you slap different areas as to avoid injuries ;) glad you like the videos.

Love the horn idea! Can't wait to get back to the states!
+World of MONSTERS Where are you located?

Wow quick and easy. It's fun to see the ideas and methods you come up with. Enjoyed it Allen. Thank you.
+Michael J. Laseter Glad you like it- I hope you twist the ideas further and make them your own! Go make stuff!
Wow epic absolutely love the Krampus horns great make on them and like the red tounge goes really well with the Krampus
Thanks!
@@StiltbeastStudios Your very much welcome

+JOHNJOHN 9111 thanks, glad you like the video!
Another great tutorial sir! This is what I look forward to each Wednesday. Although this past week I've been spoiled w/ the extra videos...
+Franklin G. Roberts III More Extras are in the works!
Excellent video....I thought for a second that you were going to use a set of knee high stockings and roll it down the cups....but the foam works much better....
+robert.a.ziemba YEah the foam is just stronger and makes a nice complete look. There are also a ton of finishing options.
Brilliant!
+Phil Bolton I dont know about brilliant, how about ...effective!
That works too. :)
This is amazing !
Love the video man good job!
+Daniel Hanks Thank you very much! Go make stuff!
+StiltbeastStudios Yeah i'm almost done with my Krampus costume can't wait!
You could add a snow cone cup to the top of the horns and wouldn't have to worry about crushing the tip.
+ghost0441 or fill it with stuffing...Im just lazy.
+ghost0441 We have ridged screwball cups here in the UK. Those ones with ice-cream and bubble gum balls at the bottom.. They would work well..
ghost0441 brilliant comment!
Now I know why I've saved cups! Apart from using them for paint. Thank you!
+Goldenghost they are dang useful!
As usual, awesome!
+Greg Packard Thanks for commenting!

+Mike Skalberg I filmed that! I should be able to post it by Sunday.
Sweet

Thank you for the great videos.
+bransonhauntedhills Thank you very much! glad you like the videos- see ya at TW!
Great tut and a little less provocative then the last one you made using cups. Haha!
+jwal - The Twisted Seed I hope I never post one that provocative again. :/

No this style of tongue is very light.
(Oops...meant to comment on the Krampus Suit video but auto-play brought me here. Oh well.) Great video! +Chris Weaver the legs are done chap style- so just tubes for the legs that a belt holds up. The shirt is long enough to cover the crotch and butt
Thanks for the reply! That makes sense; pants are tricky! I'm planning to have my 'tunic' go down pretty far as well, so I should be able to replicate the chaps idea.

Awesome as always, love the horns. Quick question, would it work instead of threading wire to just lay wire between rope sections with a bead of glue?
Sure, just not as easy to hide and easier to separate.
+StiltbeastStudios makes sense...thanks
that is clever
+Gustav Ljungdahl Thank you very much- thanks for watching.
I'm speaking from a complete lack of experience here but as far as getting the wires into the tongue, wouldn't it be easier to just cut half way through along the length, lay in the wire and glue it shut?
+haynerbass easier yes, and you would have an ugly seam on each side, this way there is no seam and it's not that difficult really
Thought I just saw your Krampus costume on Eye Open TV. The pumpkin teeth and belt gave it away. Was that you?
+zns72 I have no idea, do you have a link? is that a news show?
I've got a mask that I ordered and the paint isn't what I would want it to be. The flesh tone looks yellow. Can recommend a good flesh tone paint for latex?
+Chason Harrell go to home depot and pick the color you want. mix it with 33% distilled water, 33% casting latex, and 33% latex house paint- exerior.
+StiltbeastStudios is the casting latex absolutely necessary?
+Chason Harrell if you want it to have decent stretch yes. if the mask is not going to stretch then you can go without it.
+StiltbeastStudios you don't by chance paint masks on the side do you. hahaha
+Chason Harrell yes I do, Im just all out of side. Way to booked to take any commissions right now lol.
genius!
+james plasencia Thanks for commenting, now go make stuff!
i will thanks ha
Wow, I never would have thought of this method, but my grampa's tongue doesn't look anything like this.
+collinE83 a lot of options open up in construction techniques when you are fluent in many skinning options, add this to your toolbox and see what you can come up with- Go make stuff!
something from nothing Love it !! HFL!!
+deoblo85 Glad you like the video! HFL!

+Patrick Nottingham They said I could be pretty or smart- thats why Im so pretty.
