- Here begins my walkthrough for the AWESOME Ghostbusters: The Video Game! It didn't get quite as much gamer love as it should have on release, but it's at least my personal choice of game every Halloween. It's fun and made with nothing but love for the films and the gameplay is just absolutely amazing.
I'm playing on Experienced difficulty with the aiming reticle and all aim assists turned off. Why did I turn my crosshair off? Well... I felt like it. I've played the game through a few times in the past, so I thought, why not try something new and make the walkthrough a little bit more exciting. Plus it's an excuse to "accidentally" shoot past ghosts and destroy the scenery as much as possible on the sly. You don't know how hard it was to record this playthrough and not destroy everything like I usually do. It's so satisfying. - เกม

Ghostbusters 3 video game and movie look perfect
Hello, I'll be your guide through the game, despite commenting on a video. I'll explain gameplay mechanics when they pop up, but I'll go over what your pack shows now.
The green bar is your health. Once it's depleted, down you go. The edges of the screen will turn red and start to blur when you're low on health as a warning, and when you get hit, wherever the screen flashes is the direction that you got hit at. You'll automatically regenerate health so long as you don't get hurt.
The red bar is your heat indicator, showing how close your pack is to overheating. When your pack starts emitting smoke and starts beeping, it's about to overheat. It'll slowly decrease over time so long as you aren't firing a weapon, and you can vent the pack to decrease it to zero. It's not instant, though, and you are left open to attack for a bit. Also, if the pack overheats, it'll automatically vent, but it'll take longer than a manual vent, and you can't fire weapons when it's venting, manual or automatic.
Now onto controls that aren't moving your character around, because we know how to do that.
Press the B button (on XBOX) with a direction to dodge attacks. You can't fire a weapon when dodging, however.
Hold down the B button to sprint. You run much faster when sprinting. Your character also starts to breathe heavily. That's basically your sprint meter. The louder it is, the shorter you can sprint. You can't fire a weapon while sprinting.
This game is awesome. Period.
At least it's on TH-cam and be very entertaining as well.
This is the best Ghostbusters game ever made.

From memory, I think I remember listening to the answering machine segment as an 8 year old.
I probably watched this playthrough as a 8 year old and had no idea what was happening.

I remember having dream of when I was a ghostbuster, only to only to be scared stiff on my first job!

Ever since I had played the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 version of the video game, I noticed some lines were left out and were out of place. For example, Egon was supposed to say "Serving all of your supernatural elimination needs 24 hours a day." at 1:40, the security guard Russell was supposed to say "If you're dressed as Atila the Hun again, I'm going to smack you." at 1:53, the lines heard at 10:10 were supposed to be included earlier at 3:55 and the designers should've had Peter say "And that is not the fun kind of getting busy. Is it, Ray?" earlier at 4:55 just like it was heard of the PlayStation 2/Nintendo Wii version of the video game.
Wouldn't it be cool if we got to see some of the gear in this game,like the boson darts, in the actual movies.

Had the opportunity to play both this version of the game at my cousin’s and the Wii version, the one that I own. I have to say, both versions are great, each have merit. The Wii version controls better in my opinion, but this definitely has the better graphics

Don’t care what anyone says, this is THE 3rd Ghostbusters movie!! Only sad thing is it feels too short a game... 4 small bonus levels of the Boogeyman, Sandman, Samhain and Grundle from the real ghostbusters Tv series would’ve been AWESOME!! 😉 😉 😉
Agreed this is one of the best Ghostbuster game ever made Harold Ramis will be missed both he and Dan Aykroyd made Ghostbusters what it was along with Ivan Reitman here is a suggestion make slimer and The Real Ghostbusters video game
I love this game, I really do. I remember spending hours on it, trying to get the "Nice shooting, Tex" trophy. That proved next to impossible, some of the items you can destroy just cost waaay too much (especially in the museum), but it was sure fun trying. Most of the time I went for the "The Destroyer" achievement though.
Will you get all the upgrades?
Yes, in this walkthrough I buy all upgrades, scan all cursed artifacts, scan all but one ghost that I accidentally missed, listen to all phone messages in the firehouse, drink from all the water fountains and listen to all the Vigo quotes. I will look quickly at all descriptions in the database as they appear so that anyone interested can pause the video and read them. Early on I forgot to look at the upgrade descriptions, but in the museum I take a short break to go through the ones I missed so they're all in there somewhere.
I tried going for the Nice Shooting, Tex once, but at the beginning of the museum level I noticed I was already several hundred thousand over the limit. I haven't gotten the trophy for 3 million in damages either, because the only level that really matters for that trophy is Times Square. Apparently in all the other levels combined you can only accumulate about 1,5 million total by destroying everything, but in Times Square alone you can earn the 3 million needed if you just remember to destroy every car, but I find systematically going through them is boring.

He's a pre-made character, there's no customization in this game.

are you going to play the ps2/wii version too? i hear they are different games and some people say the art style of ps2/wii was better. guess it depends if you like realistic or cartoon too.

I would consider it, but unfortunately I don't own the PS2 version of the game and I don't own a Wii at all. If I see it anywhere then maybe I'll pick it up and record it next October.
