    Cool trick to remember E Phrygian is just look at it as A minor. If you know A minor, you already know E Phrygian

    Love it! "two thumbs up - if I could". I think at 5:27 when you said "two frets up from the 8th fret the 11th fret" you meant to say the "10th fret". Look forward to viewing more of your videos.

    thanks. it is better if we can see interval numbers of scales on the guitar rather than other numbers such as fret or finger number.

    An E chord on fret 2: B&E, fret 1:G#.... is moved up to 7th fret(same shape). what is it called on that 7th fret, and why? I thought the root note was the thickest string. I'm confused.

    • @OscarTaylor4536
      @OscarTaylor4536 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The root note isn't always the thickest string

    Tomas, where can I see a video, that explains how the same shapes up and down the neck, become a different name. I am one year into learning, and need to know, because it should help my creating AND, following melodies! Thanks!

      I'm not 100% sure I understand Robert. Could you explain more?

    • @alipa3252
      @alipa3252 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you are referring to the CAGED system

    @robertcanedo7607 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    yeah, now I think I've got it.... just follow the alphabet, moving up the neck, for a change in pitch on the same chord; and barring for same shapes as you move up.
