Today's recipe is what I like to call a "Love Meal" meaning whenever I eat or cook it, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and brings back so many great family memories! This recipe for Smothered Chicken is one that I'm sure you and your family will enjoy! It is full of homemade flavors that can't be beat! It's a no hassle kind of meal that is great for the weeknights or for Sunday dinner! So stick around and check out this awesome recipe for the best Smothered Chicken! INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE CHICKEN:
3½ lbs - Chicken Pieces (thighs, legs, whole cut up chicken), skin-on
1-2 small Onions, sliced
1 TBSP Garlic, minced
3 TBSP Butter
2½ cups Chicken Stock or broth
1/4 cup or 2 ounces of Half & Half
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
1 TBSP of Seasoned Salt or Salt
2 TSP of Black Pepper
1 TBSP of Onion Powder
1 TBSP of Garlic Powder
1 TBSP of Paprika
2 TSP of Poultry Seasoning
FOR THE SEASONED FLOUR:
1½ cup Flour
1½ TBSP of Seasoned Salt or Salt
1 TSP of Black Pepper
1 TBSP of Onion Powder
1 TBSP of Garlic Powder
1 TBSP of Paprika
