- It's not ideal to mid tap your LiPo battery pack. However, even for those that insist on doing this there is a tip on how to mid tap between two separate batteries. Otherwise you could destroy part of your ESC.

Thanks for the kinds words guys
Been at it for a supper long time.
You still keep expanding my knowledge and understanding when it comes to this addiction 😉👍🤙
Great to hear!
Great info thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Damn dude.. that was a good one. No more plugging LEDs randomly into my balance plug
If the load is low enough I wouldn't mind
Most small LEDs draw practically nothing
Good video. 👍🇨🇦🤠
This topic is way overdue! Thank you for covering this for all these high powered fan people.
Thanks for the support William!
I would only do this if you can apply identical load to keep the cells balanced, eg running 2 identical fans from a 4s pack, between cell 1 and 2 and cell 3 and 4
Hi guys, I have a question
What does it mean by continuous rating power with rated voltage and rated amps. Does that mean that the hub motor will be the most efficiency point?
But I heard that some people says the most efficiency point of the hub motor is around 75%-80% of maximum power where as continuous power is only at around 50% of maximum power
I am running an extra 3s Lipo to power my 12V fans. Now I realize the BEC is a much better solution. It is lighter and probably cheaper too .... Next upgrade :-)
Sweet. Sounds good
Hi guys, I have 2 questions
1- can pwm still be 100% if I reduce the speed limit to 60% in the controller setting when the throttle is still at 100% full?
2- if I limit my 80A controller to 50A, when Im turn on power boost (20% extra torque) will the current exceed 60A or still 50A (the numbers is just random figures)
I'm sure most people didn't even know this was possible. But yeah not a good idea unless you are using all the cells.
I didn't know this was an option that was popular until I was asked about it several times.
It should be obvious not to mid tap a LiPo battery.
Many use a Mid-tap to run extra fans on motor (on bashing cars or speedrunners). I would not do that either.
@@nelissuh Thats their problem, haha.
