I just got done watching Spinning Gold and I'm literally reduced to tears...What an amazing story...I'm 57 and a KISS fan since 1977 when I was 10 years old...I've always known OF Neil Bogart and Casablanca but never knew ABOUT him...The last 15 minutes of the movie plus Neil detailing how he died then the video montage of the real Neil has reduced this retired NY fireman into a crying mess...Thank you Timothy and Joyce for allowing us a glimpse into Neil's world and thank you to Three Sides for having them on the show...God bless...

    Thank you Three Sides.
Thank you and your guests for punching a hole in the wall of the unexplored, mysterious world of early KISS, and allowing us all to peer in and listen with delight, elation, and euphoria.
    A world I've been curious about for 47 years....since I was 8-years-old.
    Thank You.

KISS was the reason I picked up a guitar. Back in '78 (I was 13), there was a KISS contest at the roller-rink in Plainville (CT). My sister was Peter, my brother was Paul, my mom was Ace, I was Gene. We got 2nd place, my mom won the 2nd place prize. Unfortunately we don't talk to her anymore, for good reasons, but those were innocent times.

Support this "Spinning Gold" project/Film. These wonderful stories need to be told, and the only way more get made is by our unrelenting support, and as they say on Three Sides, "vote with our wallets".
I have always wondered, Where are those "Flipside" episodes??? Are they still archived?

This is soooo good. Even the minutiae has minutiae!! What an amazing experience Joyce had. Crucial to KISStory and Casablanca in every kind of way. It's heartwarming to hear Lisa go fangirl with her admiration that we all share. Can't wait to see Spinning Gold!!

Wow, to get Joyce on here is amazing! I've only seen her on the VH1 show, Beyond the Makeup, years ago- so this is very special! Anyways, I'm going to see the movie, Spinning Gold, because of this show; I saw snippets of this film with the KISS characters, but now that I understand the film, I'm doing it.

Wow guys, very well done! I too geeked out a bit here! Ironically, I've now come full circle as my first meeting with Joyce was over 10 years ago over lunch in Beverly Hills shortly after Bill had passed away. I had told her that there had been some interest in a film about Bill, and at the end of that lunch, she said "I can't wait to tell you more but we have a picture in development about Neil." I was fascinated by the prospect! I've been following the development of this production right through until now which is what brought me to this episode. This is the most I've heard about Neil and I can now fully appreciate how he and Bill worked so well together - the two certainly seemed to have that kind of magic and zest for life that was so intoxicating to everyone around them. Thank you guys and of course, Tim and Joyce for sharing this moment! Brilliant!

This was just utterly fantastic and very well done by all involved, great questions, great interactions, just an all-around riveting listen. Joyce is a joy to listen to, I feel as if she could just drop minutiae-bomb after minutiae-bomb for 10 hours while laughing and enjoying herself the entire time. Congratulations to you all!

I felt the same way about Charlie Starr and Black Berry Smoke...they light up the satge and the crowds and people love them. I was lucky enough to see Chalie way back when he got on stage with my former band in a small club. I told him and all the guys...this guy is going to make it someday. You just see the talent and the ability to reach across the stage to the crowd and make them feel like they are part of the show. Great video everyone.

Can't ask for better than that! I'm sure the episode would have been brilliant with just Tim, but getting Joyce as well was just amazing. So great gaining insight into not just Kiss, but the whole Casablanca Records era from two people who truly were there and are sharing their stories without any self-aggrandizing or trying to make anyone else look bad. So refreshing and makes me so glad to be a Kiss fan.

Thank you so much 3 Sides Of The Coin for the interview with Joyce & Timothy. That was pure gold! Brilliant! I'm not sure that Spinning Gold will be a big cinema release in Brisbane Australia but I will attempt to see it on the big screen & will keep my eyes to see where & when the opportunity becomes available. Again, thanks Lisa, Michael, Tommy & Mark. Great stuff.

Just when you think 3SOTC can't out-do themselves! This was one of the best episodes ever.
Joyce needs to write a book. I believe she may have been part of the publication of "And Party Every Day" in 2009. But clearly, she is a wealth of knowledge and has some amazing stories to tell.
I'm very curious about "Spinning Gold". It looks like an interesting film and I will definitely get out and see it to support the cause.

Soundtrack to our lives... Where I was growing up, Kiss music was rare. However, posters were everywhere. Typically, disco music was a soundtrack to the Kiss posters on the walls. Alive! was the first album I saw and was a bit surprised by labels on the discs: it contained pictures instead of just writings as e.g. in Rolling Stones. Initially, it seemed not very Kiss with these palm trees and a dude in a hat. But it was on the Kiss discs, so I instantly accepted it as a part of Kiss. Some time later, I saw the same picture on Donna Summer album and even on Space Just Blue! Of course, later on it all got connected through learning Kisstory. But this episode very much crystallised that Neil Bogart orchestrated the soundtrack to our lives. It was amazing to hear stories from Joyce who was a part of this soundtrack and memories shared by Timothy. It is amazing that the movie is not about Kiss or any other artist. Movie about Neil Bogart is exactly what is expected. I'm very looking forward to watching it. And Three Sides of the Coin, many thanks for the amazing episode!

LOVED the film! - Have to admit that it took me about 15-20 minutes to figure out what was going on as far as style. But, by the end I was thinking "this is one of the best films I have ever seen!" I look forward to viewing it again.

Just 15 minutes in and you already seem to have hit the Jackpot with Joyce. I guess the closest to Neil Bogart and Bill Aucoin you can get in 2023. I always knew of her name from the albums, but never thought I would see or hear an interview with her like this

BS on the Beth story. The original Beck demo is available. It was not written for Lydia. It was written about a old bandmates girlfriend.
Take a movie directed by the main characters son, who wasn't yhere with a grain of salt. Joyce too. Even Lydia Criss backs up the Beck/Beth story

It makes sense that a 2-plus hour movie about a label can only cover so much, so we're not going to get all the shit that's fit to reenact, like "The Elder" and the solo albums. that sounds like major melodrama to me, and that would be interesting to see. I remember reading all about that as it went on and feeling worse and worse for the band as the years went on. Solo albums bomb, Elder bombs, Phantom bombs, Unmasked isn't even toured in the US...and don't get me started on TOM SNYDER. A proper movie about KISS themselves would be really compelling. It should be for a made-for-streaming mini-series, just focusing on KISS themselves.

I totally agree with Mark on the production of Hotter Than Hell being terribly mixed, as I love the songs on that album, but the sound was awful when comparing it to Dressed To Kill or even the debut album. Just an awesome show with Tim and Joyce, as there’s still so many tidbits to know about Kisstory and I am definitely looking forward to the Spinning Gold movie, as it was the music in the 70’s that helped make me the person who I am today and KISS were always the cream of the crop for me and still are to this day, even though I listen to so much other music as well. Great show !!!!

Thank the Lord above and Tim Bogart for not casting Justin Timberlake as Neil. I remember cringing years ago when I heard he was supposed to play the part. I’m sure the movie is good, but take it with a grain of salt. Hollywood is good for that. Keep up the good work over there @ 3Sides. Have them both come back on, but on their own episodes. Would like to have heard Tim speak more. Joyce needs @ least 2-3 hours herself as a guest.
