A lot of the people with serious mental problems are on medicaid and since the government doesn't pay as much as private health insurance companies for the same treatment they don't want to invest into them. Personally, I'd like to see mental health facilities as nice as the rehab facilities they have for the rich but I don't think we will see anything like that soon. Our country needs to make it a priority like they use to many years ago and not let it fall into what it ended up becoming.

When you look at history and how many of those packed huge facilities they had back in the day you know what we have definitely isn't enough. We don't have as many and not nearly as big as the old places and our population has grown. But then again they put people in those place back then who we never would now. @@mehdihatami3391There isn't nearly enough mental facilities in our country. In most places its just part of a floor at a hospital. A lot of the people with serious mental problems are on medicaid and since the government doesn't pay as much as private health insurance companies for the same treatment they don't want to invest into them.
Personally, I'd like to see mental health facilities as nice as the rehab facilities they have for the rich but I don't think we will see anything like that soon. Our country needs to make it a priority like they use to many years ago and not let it fall into what it ended up becoming.

When you look at history and how many of those packed huge facilities they had back in the day you know what we have definitely isn't enough. We don't have as many and not nearly as big as the old places and our population has grown. But then again they put people in those place back then who we never would now.
I do kinda wonder what the government did with the funds that they use to put into those places. My guess is they put it towards the defense budget. They amount we spend on defense is crazy and the amount we spend on our own people is crazy too. Just on the opposite side of things. We definitely need to be investing in the mental health of our citizens.
