I love how you went from shilling Raid Shadow Legends to having people shill for you. You know you made it when.... And yes. I will get the screwdriver soon enough.
This was the first real non-LTT coverage I've seen of the shop jacket. Anyone following tech TH-cam knows about the saga of the backpack, but the shop jacket looks pretty cool in and of itself.
Quinn thinks through it, and gives you the best bits. His reviews are consistently thoughtful, well-researched, and consider the everyday use of things. I'm impressed - want more
Thanks for checking on the 4x8 sheet goods. I might be able to swing it keeping the tailgate up, I'm not totally against that. Maybe I could make a set of risers to get to the 4' wide height. I feel like I'd be a fool to not take delivery after I locked in pre-order pricing.
@@snazzy Does it include a tow hitch? in googling it does have one hidden under paneling and tows 7700 if google is accurate.. so could use a small trailer for that stuff to get it home.. or if you go to HD they have a panel saw that can chop it down too a more manageable size.
I watch almost all car reviewers across the planet, watching you first time but I am really impressed by the level of detail and effort. Reminded me of Thomas from autogefuehl
Rivian needs to make a Minivan with the same powertrain configuration. Sliding doors, immense seating and cargo room, 1000 electric horsepower....that would be amazing.
I’m sure they will come but I wonder why we don’t see an electric van yet. My guess is the batteries would take up all the room a van offers assuming you have a frunk up front.
First saw the Rivian on Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Home show, where they drove it from the southernmost arctic tip of South America to Los Angeles. 9000 km. Through so many terrain and weather conditions. It’s a performance beast. Was super impressed by it. If I’m ever in the position to buy one, I’d take that over a Tesla any day.
What's amazing about Long Way Up's Rivian is that the car is so new they're literally a prototype. And not just a prototype, but THE first prototype, with serial numbers 000001 and 000002. So new they need to bring Rivian guy with them all the time! Heck, the dash and buttons even looked like LMP racecars since Rivian don't have enough time to put center screen. Charley and Ewan's prototype LiveWire are amazing for sure. But the Rivian? Hoo boy, bringing the first prototype on that kind of journey is utter insanity.
I'm an avid Snazzy Labs viewer and I'm surprised that its only now (10/27 at 12:49 pm) that TH-cam has suggested this video. Especially surprising since I've looked up R1S content in the past week. Excellent review, sir!
Video was beautiful! Perfect time of year to film too. Been waiting for the R1T review for a while because I loved your Model 3 review. Finally got it with the R1S!
Your videos are all good, but I love this car review. I think your editing and flow may evolve more, but your presence on camera and dialogue are among the best in the car-review business here. Hope to see you reviewing a Porsche soon :)
I’m a Jeep Rubicon off-roader, but I’m not so sure I’d shade the bronco like that. I’ve gone head to head with the bronco, stock vs stock, videos to be posted, but long story short, they perform similarly. These aren’t dirt roads… these are trails no one would take stock vehicles on. I’m personally looking forward to seeing what Jeep does with the recon… as an off-roader, there is potential with electric granted it doesn’t leave me stranded in the woods.
Dude, your channel is ON FIRE!! This new video is proof. Loved it! Also, we want to know more about your smart home, I've been watching the same one from your channel like a million times.
Really appreciate your focus on the interior passenger space. So many EV reviews just cover the c00l tech, but I'd also like to know if I can fit my legs in the car.
The R1S reminds me of the old school Nissan Pathfinder. It was a midsize SUV based on a truck. I am so happy to see Rivian bring back the trend of an SUV being a truck-based wagon.
I always appreciate how thorough your reviews are. You point out both the good and bad in a product, I never feel like I’m watching a product advertisement rather than a review.
Yeah I don’t realize people realize it would take a ginormous and cost prohibitive battery to tow and get great range. The technology simply doesn’t exist.
It’s cause I shot some of the shots underexposed and had to boost the shadows in post. Lighting was changing a lot and I just forgot to change settings on the fly.
Great video. Man, I miss Utah. I just hope no Bronco owners accidentally stumble across this. I’m sure more than one will take issue with your assessment of their off-road prowess.
B Pillar forward there are two differences. The S has the chrome strip on the outside and the S also has a rear wiper button on the stalk for an inside difference.
This is the only EV that really interests me after having SUV's for the last 20 years. It'll be awhile before I need to shop as I just bought a 2022 GX 460 last year, however, it gives me hope for the future.
Loved loved loved, the amount of detail you went into with this review, as with everything else you do. While i wish we were looking at more attainable electric vehicles it was a very entertaining watch
Looking forward to you reviewing the Cyber truck next year. It’s suppose to be able to cross a body of water. Everyone trying to one up each other, we’ll see!
I just saw on twitter that this is 10/10 in uploads, and now I feel extra bad for not watching it this morning so now I’m leaving a longer comment than I would normally leave and watching it twice
Great video. Our gx470 has virtually no space behind the 3rd row. None of them configure well. Both rear rows are all manual but they really don't get reconfigured that often and nobody in the third row is tasked with resetting the second row. Why would they sit there and have an empty second row? It'll be years before our r1s arrives though.
I wonder if it’s possible to lose the 3rd row in favour of the gear tunnel. That would be a great option to have but I guess it would require a significant redesign and basically be a different car model.
This thing looks so nice. I would definitely trade the X for it at this point but don't want to put $1k down to wait a year. We'll see what happens when production is ramped. It seems those third rows always have big sacrifices, and I agree putting seats up and down 100% should be powered.
Great video! The R1S is definitely a full size SUV though, it’s branded as such and it’s wheel base is for example more in line with an Escalade than an X5
@@snazzy Wait is the X7 not considered a full size now? Pretty much all reviewers and cross shoppers consider the X7, GLS, Escalade non-ESV, and long wheelbase Range Rover to all be direct competitors.
@@NateDawg0007 Yeah an X7 is full size. Legitimately a great video as usual from SL, but seemed to indicate the R1S is a smaller SUV and the R1T is a larger truck when the opposite is true relative to other cars on the market.
R1S is 200.8 inches (according to Google) in total length. Kia Telluride (Midsize SUV) is 196.9 inches. BMW X7 is 203 inches. Shortest Escalade is 211.9 inches. R1S is basically on the border of being a full size SUV but still is mid size. VW atlas is 200.7 inches and that’s considered midsize too.
Great video and great featured products! I especially liked the backpack and screwdriver. I guess there was a car in there or smth too... - LS

How much do they get?
You know what you also didn’t expect? This segue to our sponsor, Glasswire!

Is it just me, or is the way Quinn shot this video just so satisfying to watch? Great quality, as always!

the steep downhill ,and the quick turn dust trail video was beautiful ❤️

@@grantcreveling1965 that's my plan. I won't destroy my inside with lumber!
If there was a 5 seat version with more cargo instead of a 3rd row, I likely would’ve gone with an R1S instead of an R1T. Man, I love the gear tunnel.
You know you can just leave the 3rd row seats folded down right?
The script, combine with the panning shots while comparing the T to the S were perfect. The subtlety and fluidity were satisfying.

You cut straight to the chase man, no BS about the feeling and emotion of the car. Good job
