    MCV "multi control valve" has its own hydraulic pump and operates power steering, power brakes, T.A., fluid to cooler, & some lubrication.

    We still have two 806s. Religiously clean hydraulic ends before hooking up and change hydraulic filter every spring. Both tractors front and back pumps are original I think, as they have been here since almost New. Very little use anymore but fun to show grandkids.

      Nice, many hours on them?

      @@AndyFromm over 10 thousand each. Both had TA and clutches. RD fuel pump went on one and replace with Rosomaster. One had rod and bearings after oil filter seal failed. The regular front spindles and sloppy shifters. Great fuel economy , needed to be with little tank. Enjoyed you video thanks. International were poor hydraulic compared with Deere though.

      They've had a bit of work. I wish I'd have our original 806 that the family bought new, sounded like it got used hard though.

    Helpful video thanks. Upon removal of all bolts, the MCV isn’t budging off the tractor - any ideas?

    • @AndyFromm
      @AndyFromm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should just be i believe 20 bolts to take the whole thing off. Might be really glued down.

      @nicholbr72 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AndyFromm I wouldn’t have attempted this repair if not for your detailed videos. Got all 20 out and yours reasonably jiggled loose- I was prying, pounding - not budging.. try again tomorrow. I’m assuming MCV never been off. Maybe apply some heat?

    • @AndyFromm
      @AndyFromm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nicholbr72 shouldn't have too use heat. The only thing holding it should be bolts, 4 dowels and gaskets. Try prying somewhere top then bottom back and forth with a bar.

    Good day So the other pump operates 3 pt & remotes. Were you having problems with the front pump. I didin't know they had transmiision brake. Yrs. ago on farm dad SW-6 & if you had to put in gear, it would always grind I used to put in fifth 1st, less grinding. Thanks

    • @AndyFromm
      @AndyFromm  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the front pump runs power steering & brakes. Its been bleading down and not wanting to prime. Im pretty sure i got it figured out and will do a video on that.

    I pulled all of that off of my tractor. I have zero hydraulic pressure anywhere and I noticed that that front gear moves freely should it move freely or not?

    • @AndyFromm
      @AndyFromm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The gear that mates to the mcv pump? If thats the gear, no it shouldn't freewheel.

      @AndyFromm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you no pressure anywhere, no 3pt, and no pto, your pressure plate and/or shaft splines probably are gone.

    hi andy,,,,,i just got an 806 last december,,,,,,,the brakes are good ,,,it steers fairly well,,,,but has that grainy feel to it ,,,,you can't steer with one finger like my 4020 (oops),,,,maybe its just the cold ?

    • @AndyFromm
      @AndyFromm  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its been a long time since i ran another 806 (the one i would have liked to get, one we bought new...)(long time since i ran a 4020 either) so i can't say for sure on that but people tell me the 4020 steers easier than the 806. I think they told me its to do with the displacement of the steering pump ("motor" attached to the steering wheel).
