Factory KTM said they used the ability they have to tune the ecu to make second gear a little bit longer .forsure any stock bike even 450 would have trouble making that leap just due to the corner I was there in person the corner was so deep and muddy it didn't set them up well
Been there and done that...Budds Creek, up hill double during practice, deep groom and soft track. left clavicle, see it every morning in front of the mirror. Ride On! Good to see you back up.
Glad you're doing alright Josh...my goodness, one week later and you're moving like a champ. Didn't get plated myself after a February get off, but thankfully I'm alright with full range of motion and strength. God bless you man.
Josh you 100% deserve my best dirt biking saying! If you are going to bust big air you have to be willing to bust big bones, or at least small important ones!
I'm 5 months post op for the same surgery... my nerves are still not fully there around the incision... feels like an itch you can't scratch... ready for that to be over with
Glad your ok bud but bummed out was hoping you would be making the rest of the canadian nationals wanted to see you rip up the somewhat legendary riverglade . Still pumped to see amateur phenom drew adams showcase what real pro speed looks like
As a dual collarbone (one at El Mirage, one at Glamis) veteran, it's definitely important to do the follow up therapy for quicker recovery. Good luck with that and hope your back in the saddle soon.
@@patw9175 huh? I think you’re confused. He spell checked me on the word “Panic” and i corrected it. Maybe dont drag your resentment of morality to the track. Faith is a foundational component of this post and for those who love truth.
A few years ago Jorge Lorenzo had the same break on a Friday, flew to Spain and had plate & screws surgery Saturday morning, had to prove fitness by doing push ups Sunday morning, and finished fifth in the race!
This is why I don't race motocross anymore. I know LaRocco's leap isn't new, but in general, the jumps make it too dangerous at my age 64. And it's no fun to have to roll them, you feel like a pussy. I wish there were more old school, terrain tracks, out there without all the big jumps. And the thing is with these big jumps, even the pro's get hurt on them all the time, us older amateurs don't have a chance.
You will be feeling that broken collarbone for the rest of your life- I shattered mine in the summer of 1980 racing a YZ125 on a large jump landing on a lapper! actually you feel every injury to some extent when you get old like me. but I still race/ride at 60 years old.
Amen to wat u say josh... So proud of your faith and the good work you guys are doing... God's richest blessings be always upon you and all your loved ones
People don’t understand the g force in motocross…I tried to come back after 20 years …I got fast again in the corners ..training every day for 6 months prior to…I thought if I can’t get fit what’s the point … but I got 2022 Ktm 150 with kit suspension and my body just couldn’t handle the massive impact.. but I tried 😢… I’m am 59 tho 🤡… my wife eventually talked some sense into me ..but I wish I could still do it … 😢… but love watching the channel and tune in to see jett deegan herrlings every week… get well soon 👍
America hasn’t done too well at the world juniors over the last few years and I worry that it’s a sign of the future. The world juniors are mostly dominated by European and Australian/New Zealand kids who coincidentally seem to be already taking over the AMA scene.
The leap is no joke but it’s not the size it’s the high landing and drop, you never see anyone get hurt from the actual case which is mad on its own, makes you wonder how the free ride and fmx guys don’t blow wheels when they go way long… 2nd no way??? I’m no pro nor will I ever be if chase said he’s tapped in 2nd on a factory bike with longer gear rations and higher RPM and the extra corner speed he carries it was never going to end well! Heal up quick!
I snapped my collar bone when i was 14 on a ride. Came over a table top with my WR426, and as i landed, it grabbed a cable in the dirt, then i got thrown into the handle bars, flipped over the bars, the bike slung shot back, then the rear wheel was still spinning, and hit the dirt, causing the bike to somersault over, with the rear seat/flare area coming down onto my collar bone snapping it. Doc told me 4 weeks and i can ride again, got back on the bike 4 weeks later, hit a berm, wet clay patch, slid on the side, landed hard on the shoulder, snapped again. No surgery. That was 25 years ago. I wish i had surgery done, but the doc said being young, it'll heal good. Suffice to say, as i have aged, the broken collarbone side has collapsed with the muscle, and i get constant aches. So frustrating. I feel your pain, i'd still let it heal good to see you walk away though.
When most of the pros aren’t hitting a motocross obstacle that’s super telling as to what direction these clowns are pushing the sport… in motocross no obstacle should be destroying riders and having such severe consequences for coming up short or overshooting in supercross sure but motocross!? Absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic episode Josh, praying for full healing for the Redbud injury, keep up the good work brother
Josh, really admire what you do with the kids at PanicRev Camp. Happy to see you up and functioning so soon!
Thank you for checking back in. I have been waiting and hoping. Glad you are in great spirits
Some of the best info out there on MX bikes, etc.
Looking good Josh! When Chase said 2nd gear, I was like ain’t no way thats possible. And 3rd gear wide open is hauling at that RPM!

Yeah that was on amatuer day tho not the pro national prep. Essentially 2 different tracks @lebowski137
Glad your ok Josh
Dang man! I saw the last episode. I wouldn’t dare send the leap. Huge props. Speedy recovery!
Wow, can't believe it's working that good already! You're giving me hope. I go get my plate in on the 31st. Thanks for the update Josh!

I see a settlement coming from Sexton over that advice :) Nice work on your camp work. Well done. Heal fast.

Any peptides use for healing?
I have almost the exact same screw pattern in my collarbone
Your collarbone plate and screws look just like mine. Every now and then it’s still kind of “itchy” under there but other than that I don’t notice it.
