    Thank you for a refresher on how to do this pattern.😊
    A little trick that I use to keep my edges straight on this type of pattern is that I do a dc in each of the first three stitches and the last three stitches of each row. This creates a built in border.

    • @krisvanallen
      @krisvanallen 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did standing DC as the first st of a row rather than a ch 2.

    I like the explanation of the last stitches on each row. So simple and logical.

      @@BlossomCrochet I have just been watching your Granny Stripe tutorial and at the beginning of each row you chain 3.Having seen your new method of creating the height of a treble ( sorry don't know the correct term) eliminating the chain 3 I was wondering if that would work on this pattern or not?

  • @Crazgreekgirl6
    @Crazgreekgirl6 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I love how you explain everything! Thank you! I know it's UK terms but you tell me what that means in US terms. I was wondering why it was curling, almost frogged it, you told me it curls. Thought "okay, what's going on with this end? Isn't there another stitch somewhere?" Yes, it's hiding in the loop!
    Is it just me, or do UK people have more patience and explain better?
    I've never seen a US video that says "now we're going to double crochet, but for you UK folk, it means treble".
    Thank you so much, I'm not done yet, I just thought this video needed some praise! Everyone loves a compliment!

    Great tutorial. But to clarify, is the foundation chain supposed to be all (treble) double crochets? Because it looked like you made single crochets all the way & not double (treble) crochets. Thanks.

    If im doing a blanket how many chains do i do??

    • @DianeHasHopeInChrist
      @DianeHasHopeInChrist 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how big/wide your project is....full size, queen size, a simple throw? And it depends on what kind of stitch you use. Most projects require an even or odd number of starting chain stitches. "Blossom Crochet" tells you how many chain stitches, based on multiples of 2, 3,4....etc. Instructions printed with yarn, also will tell you. But it does depend on bed size, or if you are making a simple, smaller Afghan/throw blanket.

    @michellewalters7756 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    You might want to think about putting a solid color tablecloth down onto the table because even though it is a beautiful table it forces your camera to go in and out of focus trying to go from the marks on the table to what you're doing in your hand..... This is just a suggestion because I know you do lots of videos and they're great, but as someone who's watching a little less in and out of focus would be great
