I have the same question. NE's D actually held Philly in check. Philly won on long FGs all day. NE was within one or two plays of winning this.
Tua has never lost to Belichick. I don't think Bill gets the win here, but as a defensive mind, I'm sure he'll throw some wrinkles in the mix.

@@c2jonesAgree. Belichick builds a game plan w/the objective of taking away what the other team does best to win its games. He can only maximize the Patriots chances of winning. We saw his game plans in the 1990/1 season Super Bowl where his Giants beat the Bills after the Bills put up 50 points on other playoff teams. Belichick had to have a defense that held the Giants to less than 20 points to have a chance. Did something similar taking Marshal Faulk out of the Super Bowl as much as he could for Pats to pull off another great upset of the 2001 Rams .

Pats have Gonzo at CB and pretty much contained both Miami’s top guys. Waddle had a decent game but Tyreek didn’t do much. But by doing it they left the running lanes open, and Mcdaniels exploited it.

This was brilliant! The Dolphins finally have another supreme talent at HC. We have been in purgatory ever since Don Shula left!
The writing was on the wall at the end of the 2021 season for the Dolphins. Chris Grier has seen it many times. Failure after failure, regime after regime! Only now this was his regime, his creation. His HC Brian Flores. His young, drafted QB Tua Tagovailoa. His hand picked franchise QB to lead a completely rebuilding roster! All the trades, all the draft picks, all the talent! And by 2021 (another winning season) it was falling apart 💯! Speculation, rumours, intrigue and disfunction! Could Grier right the ship? He had one last throw of the dice! He had to choose! Flores or Tua? One of them had to go! And it had become obvious inside the Dolphins organisation and to many fans, Flores was the wrong coach for the Dolphins! And most definitely wrong for Tua's career 💯. Ross was on board and Grier fired Flores to a barrage of criticism from media!
Now Grier had tried to interview Mcdaniel for the OC job the year before, but Shanahan blocked it and promoted Mcdaniel himself! So now, with Grier's job, team and legacy on the line. With no other team even considering Mcdaniel for the many HC positions that year. Grier went for broke, swung for a home run and hired the small, quirky genius from Yale to come and energise, transform and lead the Dolphins into an exciting future! What a hire. What a HC. What a GM.

The only flaw I can see with the short out motions is that it makes the snap cadence very predictable, because the snap timing relies on the player's position and has to occur before they turn upfield. If defenders can take advantage of this rhythm, it can further increase the pressure from the defensive front. The trick would be teaching your defensive front to recognize motion on the periphery, and try and take advantage of it. Although if McDaniel notices this happening he'll probably add some kind of sprint motion set to cause doubt in the defense. Should be an interesting chess match with defenders!

I don't care what offenses try to imitate mike mcdaniels offense, hes a genius and no coach can rally tgat many superstars and get them all on board,

Of course other teams are stealing from King Tua and the Miami Dolphins.

The first play was actually a blown coverage Khalil Mack realized that he was guarding hill and that something was wrong so he tried to tell the safety to come down and play him and he will cover the middle

The short motion part is nonsense.
The defense should just play it like they are running those routes as the ball gets snapped. It doesn’t change much.
    The defense just failed

Nothing wrong with stealing the Dolphins play book so to speak nothing illegal about that and it just makes the game more interesting!

Teams should steal their plays! They have an average qb looking like joe Montana throwing to wide open receivers

I'm sure Tua is way way better than average and the WRs aren't always open, and he's isn't always throwing to Waddle and Hill. I can tell you don't know nothing about football.

This is an old rant, but a good one. Let's pose the following, which, despite the win, no, "slaughter" I should write, in game 3 over Denver's sorry ass, it remains to be seen if the Dolphins can keep it up. But this strategy was already discussed last year, in detail, therefore no need for any further reading. The Dolphins will undoubtedly lose a few games. Already saw a few holes just based on the first quarter of the Denver game -A little bit of sloppiness on the Dolphins defense covering wide receivers (the ones that Denver were able to reach, lol) ... so what if the Broncos just ran out of steam, I'm thinking the Dolphins, despite being the surprise darlings of football right now, are going to run into trouble w better teams. I sure hope I'm wrong. Yeah they're going to be at the top of the AFC East, but what about after that.
Stay healthy Dolphins! Don't get sloppy, cornerbacks. Not every performance is going to be as bad as the Broncos.
btw, there's nothing classy at all by taking a knee, and not setting the record by kicking a field goal for the 73 point win. Don Shula would be rolling in his grave. This is a billion dollar business. Not a Love Fest

Mannn, the Fins win was against a team with a Defense that rarely stay for practices during game week. Its why they choke in 2nd halfs and it takes a Loss for the players to put in more effort of preparing for next game of a must win but after that win , it gets back to the same culture of practices for the NFLs laziest and most tired players in league. TUA is only good as his protection, once he gets pressured he falls apart and the Pats and Belichick knows this and not concerned for that HC never lets his players feel like adults over getting better at pro level. The Chargers mann, Fins just played the laziest group of defenders in nFL. Once Tua gets pressure, he will vaulter and look for the sidelines to fake a hit to look bad. If Fins beat Pats, it is not Tua and never has with wins vs Pats. Its their effort of preparing for a team they KNOW be ready and will not get tired after 2 quarters..
