10/10 - as a non poker player, even I found this super inspiring. Shoutout frank, he has grinded (or ground maybe lol) his way to a frequency of greatness, not many people can say they’ve achieved that frequency in their lives & it’s super inspiring to see. Great hosting too, really good questions asked & I loved that frank was given the opportunity to just speak freely, which is the god tier of podcast hosting - many times hosts speak too much about themselves & ask very basic questions which don’t allow the guest to come in and provide such value, so 10/10 all round, the 2 & a half hours flew by & that’s me as a non poker player, never played it in my life… so I imagine as a poker player this would’ve hit so hard 👏🏼

lol I remember scout326 (or whatever) on PokerStars, he was a gigantic whale from Russia I believe. I had 20K on Stars and he was playing 25/50 and I decided to sit. My heart was beating out of my chest. I remember getting allin with him pf with QQ vs his AK and holding. I was breathless and so pumped when the board ran out clean. I finished that session up a little over 6k but I played like a huge nit even folding a set of 2’s on the turn when in hindsight I never should have. I was just playing way too big. Anyway, great podcast and thanks for the content and memories. Good luck at the tables!

@@Peter-vv8ym I wish I was old enough to play early 2000s when nobody had a clue. Around 90$ an hour on 2/5. I can get slightly more playing higher but there are more and better regs so you battle it more. I am still not at level I can make more than 150$ an hour playing even 50/100. I would say I am pretty mediocre reg, tho, a crusher can make a ton.

@@Peter-vv8ymyou need to have an almost obsessive/addicting love for the game, most successful players have this which is why they played for a big part of their life, if your dream is just to play poker for the money side then you will never be able to endure the mental challenges of this game.

im trying to move up, but im on a similar situation like him, im a nl100 grinder, and im pretty sure im the best player at the table, i aways get first place on the leaderboards, if i lose it doesnt hurt me, and i tried to play nl500, and got so fkd, lost 11 bi'ns in 3 hours and quit, and then this feeling of "why did i do that?" and now it will take me 3 weeks more or less to get the money back, but, ok, i will try to get better, try different ways of playing and improve, so i can beat, i think up to nl1k its a good idea to move up, above that, i think he is right, its not worth it because you have such a low volume that its not worth it, i bet he makes more money than nl10k players.

He still hasn't taken ownership of what he did. The idea that he would spend hours studying poker and "never thought about it" when it came to his actions in this case is just not believable by a thinking person. He did what he did knowing it was wrong and he should own that. We have all done or will do something knowing it is wrong but when you don't own it, it tells me you're trying to hide something.
