The Swings of Gambling at the Highest Stakes
Marc had 2500 hours, I have 3300 hours beating low stakes it's time for me to learn into this and climb the stakes. Thanks for the inspiration!
That was a very fun and valueable podcast, i dont follow the guy bcs i dont play live poker but he seems smart and thinking out of the box but also logical so i guess he is doing great at poker :D Please try to do next podcast Avery Nitkin aka PlayItSmart, imo is one of the most interesting players that made content the last years, he was the guy that made me want to play poker again!!
Two of the best podcasts Marc Goone Mathew Marinelli
tons of awesome ones including Maribel’s, but how do you put this trash up there?
Marinelli
Great Episode guys, Merry Christmas 🎄
2:14:30 he says his style since 2016 before he exposed his strategy via making content was a “tight nit” However near the beginning of the show he said his style was such that it would take other players 2 or 3 hours of playing with him to figure out he isn’t a fish because his plays seem fishy. These two statements do not align. They are in fact polar opposites of each other.
he said regs would take 2 to 3 hours to figure out he isn't a fish, not just anyone on the table
mushrooms 🙏
Great Episode ty!
Jesus Christ loves you all 😊
Didn't think I'd make it thru 3 hrs but it flew by and kept me interested and entertained.
Any of you guys in DC area to chat poker? Really enjoyed the practicality of this conversation
You play at mgm national harbor ?
@@Seeyaoyim Haven't played in ages. Was a mediocre nitty player back in the early 2000s.
@@neilquinnlol self awareness in that statement puts you ahead 75 percent the players. Fcking rng a bluffing frequency and your golden. Get back in there
marc goone the only free poker content where hes not regurgitating gto wizard
15" POKER HAAAAARRRRDDD 🙌 👌
Nice
2:11:57
Great stuff . Marc is very entertaining on the mic. Great interview guys
Online poker is like playing chess, but only with pawns. There's a whole other skill set, when you play live.
Nah not at all. Live just way easier where u can sky rocket win rates based off some exploits because the players trash.
I have a chance then. Love to learn and I’m terrible
Good stuff two hours in still going lol. If you don't mind small amount of feedback Adam often summarizing what the interviewee just said instead of moving on to the next question feels a little redundant at times. Thanks.
Noted thank you. I try to only do this if I have picked up on something important and want to make sure the audience catch it, but I am aware I can overdo this so I will be mindful of it going forward. Thank you for the feedback
@@AdamCarmichaelchannel I actually believe the opposite! I really like your recaps and repeating, it really solidifies my understanding of the key concepts.
run good and get bluffs through you win at poker.
So just run good 😂
@@Mr.Muckington good wishes thanks....$ has no reason.
@hungryhorsepoker : Can you explain the bounty game? That bounty button that move around.. Does it move with the dealer button, or who decide where isn that bounty button?
If you win the hand you get the bounty button. If you win with the bounty button you get $25 from everybody
Great covo
is it possible to get a podcast w Linus next? Would love that
Future guest ideas, ( all ACR guys ) therealgonzo, riggedeck, maybach1, sighfold, beintheunkown, yallahwallah
this guy is good.
Huge fan of HH, but this is my first time running across your podcast, great job guys, fantastic questions and follow ups. Well done.
Fantastic podcast. No coincidence that I had interviews with TMoP and HH last year for coaching.
Awesome podcast, huge fan of HHP so thanks for hosting. Really interesting to hear more about Marc's story in detail. Now I finally understand the obsession with J92 😂
Incredible that you got Marc on and he's getting this recognition. Incredibly smart and talented person who has understood the building blocks of the game well and had a natural talent for understanding people.
@jaeshbalachandran5766 the only mistake was giving his gameplan away free and filming himself.. so many levels to it. An astute player would ravage him based off of 4 little things involving tells
pretty funny. this guy got blasted doing online poker on twitch about a year ago. How much did he lose there???? does do some ok videos though.
was it one session or multiple sessions cause it matters
How do you know he got blasted? He said he made 5 or 6 bigs at one point during this video.
There’s pretty much not one live reg ( meaning they’ve only ever played live ) that can just start winning online, online is 100x harder, it’s almost not even the same game.
@@muha8416naw it's something online players delude themselves into thinking because they have too large of an ego. I play 200 NL online and win at 7bb per 100. I've played as large as 10/20/40 live games that are simply harder due to... Being put in unfamiliar spots time and time again it's so much less robotic.
@@PhonyBolognaYou don’t win at 7bb/100 unless you’re in ringfenced games (where 200nl is like 25nl). You probably played 50k hands and don’t realise how much variance there is And you get put in unfamiliar spots because everyone is constantly making big mistakes. By the same reasoning 2nl is just as hard as 200nl

51:28 Adam's first word......🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@user-ld6zk6qj6w 👍👍👍👍
no way dude I paused at 50:57 to look at the comments for anyone talking about how he hadn't said a word LMAO
As a long time live reg, i agree with most things he says. But it's funny how he proves his words about live regs beeing bad by not understanding how solver works at all - "Solver was exploiting this players" or something like this xD
Node lock my friend....he very much knows how solvers work lol
@@bryan-still-a-poker-playerhe was not talking about nodelocking. Check 59:00.
@Mordziaty23 i think you misunderstood what he's talking about. I believe he's talking about taking his students strategy and locking it in piosolver and seeing what the solver does....and the solver exploited them. I think he has done this in a couple of his youtube videos where he locks someone's real strategy and solves.
@Mordziaty23 You are completely wrong and missing the point. If you play against a solver and you loose X bb/100, your strategy is in fact being exploited for X bb/100 even if the solver isn’t actively trying to exploit. Exploits happen both accidentally and intentionally and exploits happen basically every hand ever, to a larger or smaller extent.
@@Steelhead1209 You are right, I agree, although exploit term in poker commonly refers to actively looking for opponents leaks and adjusting your strategy accordingly. Maybe it was just a shortcut thought on his part and he means what u wrote, but I understood his words differently and I thought it was funny.
Marc Goone, my favourite player. 👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
Finally!
thanks guys, had a blast doing this pod! quickest 3.5 hour podcast of my life 😂
Marc is by far the best content creator for poker right now. I’m here for all of it!
marc you're the sickest dude around
You continue to impress me sir
Great insights man thanks guys mechanics podcast is the best
I can totally tell you’re a musician. The way you think about growth and risk matches exactly how I think about myself as a professional musician and trying poker player. Love the insight.
Marc Goone is the only person on the planet I’m willing to listen to for 3.5 hours.
Exactly. 👍👍👍👍
Simple but powerful speech
He has lots of stuff in the Archives of CrushLivePoker - can't recommend it enough
First!

definitely going to watch this after wcop Paradise, i would bet that he will finish at least in third place.
AQo if a 4bet call? Surely not! It performs very poorly against most value range (especially offsuit).
thank you
Short "best pieces" was delightful in the beginning but I prefer that 3h video is just too much. Maybe you can edit it afterwards? IMO :)
made it to the end - best poker podcast in the world! loved this one!
Amazing content , best player cash game
great comparison, storytelling. I was engaged the whole time.
the primer file link is no longer working
its funny to see how many mistakes you are making that i dont make
Fantastic content!
I honestly have no idea what he’s talking about most of the time 😂 it would be great if they made a recap of the theory he’s explaining
Amazing video as always!
