Artificial difficulty at its finest. Every time I'm in the lead, some invisible bump sends me into the air or makes me spinout, and all of a sudden Erol is miles in front of me.
Erol cheats!! He misses ALOT of rings and is not a problem to him,but it is to you! Plus he insults you like 'die freak' in a little race! He is not a good sport. How do you do this SO GOOD?!

I finally completed this god damn mission! ARRRRGGH!! HOLY HELL! THIS SENT MY BLOOD PRESSURE THROUGH THE ROOF! The amount of times I lost or crashed was unreal! So fucking hard! I'm glad I finally got it over and done with. Argh! The fat civillians and bumps always screwed me over!
i cannot tell you how many times i tried this mission i mean jeeez. the thing hate the most is that you cant miss a single ring but he doesnt have to hit any of them at all!

@Goldfist I'm thinking Keira is either 17 or 18 because the game takes place two years after Jak and Daxter, and Jak was 15.However, I'm not sure if Keira was older or younger than him.
Now what pissed me off i was in the lead till the very last ring of course i didnt slow down fast a nuff and missed the ring and now i cant even come close to beating him
I remember when i was a kid this level along with many others were painfully difficult but now replaying it on the hd collection i passed every level in just my 1st try or a few tries. I pass this Errol race in my 1st attempt lol. Way better than my 8hrs on ps2 as a kid.
This is one of the worst missions I have played. This and the tower one where you are using the turret. You should not have to start from the beginning if you already made it 90 percent of the way.

lol it feels like every mission is the hardest mission in this game
Jak 2 is one of the hardest games I've ever played. Absolutely painful.
It's more frustrating than hard really.
Though some missions like this one are both things.

It took me freaking 50 attempts or something to beat Erol and when I finally beat him I felt like a boss

Beat it on my 4th try. Thought it was pretty fun
It took me 5 tries I got really lucky because on the 2nd to last ring that jackass erol crashed and I was finally able to calm my rage
I just can't do it....
JUST BEAT THIS MISSION, so satisfying
intro was best cutscene in the game

I think Jak is 18 in the third game. Making Keira 17. Wtf is with these prodigies?! I wish I could've saves the world at 17, then again at 18.

This mission isn’t actually so bad if u just go slow during those sharp turns. Only took me like 3-4 tries unlike the other godawful missions
Next to the mission where you have to escape from the slums and the Hellfire crusiers
I beat this on my 5th try, I feel like the PS5 controler makes this a lot easier than the PS2 controller that is harder to be precise with turns.

Was Jak 2 really that hard? I played the ps2 and ps3 versions and had no problem.
Back when we were younger it was hard but as we grow older we get better and it gets easier

Granted I agree that this mission sucked something fierce, the rest of the game is fantastic. You should give it another shot!
