- For over two decades, a handful of Left historians have strenuously endeavoured to stymie the Ramjanmabhumi movement. From questioning the antiquity of Rama worship and the identity of ancient Ayodhya, they have also challenged the widely held belief that Babri Masjid was built on the site of the Janmabhumi temple.
The antiquity of the Rama Katha has, however, been traced as far back as sixth-fifth century BCE, when ancient ballads (akhyanas) transmitted Rama’s story orally. Valmiki’s Ramayana itself has been dated to the fourth-third century BCE. Over the centuries, Rama’s story has been re-told in many vernaculars of the country. Rama is the exemplar of moral values for Hindu society and epitomises its aspirations above all, for dharma.
The proceedings of the Allahabad High Court have exposed the vulnerabilities of Left historians. They could proffer no evidence of continued Muslim presence at Babri Masjid, while the unwavering commitment of Hindu devotees to the site has been attested by several sources. Babri Masjid was not mentioned in the revenue records of the Nawabi and British periods, nor was any Waqf ever created for its upkeep. No Muslim filed an FIR or complained of dispossession or obstruction in his alleged use of the Masjid when the image of Sri Rama was placed under the central dome on 23rd December 1949. The Sunni Central Waqf Board entered litigation on 18th December 1961, just five days before the twelfth anniversary of the placement of the image in the Masjid, on which date any claim would have become time-barred. The Board did not file a suit for possession; instead it sought a declaration on the status of the property.
Further, excavations of the ASI revealed uninterrupted occupation of the site since the 13th century BCE. They also exposed remnants of the temple on which Babri Masjid was erected. The assertions of Left historians on Babri Masjid have all been found to be erroneous; yet there has been no public retraction. Indeed, they continue to peddle their discredited theories despite the mounting evidence against them

I hope you would use your visual observation and common sense to reconsider worshiping Sri Ram and Hanuman, a flying monkey. Satyemeva Jayete. Alas what a stupendous knowledge she being jain possesses. Hats off to her for the efforts to retrieve disputed site to hindus.
It is by looking at people like Dr.Meenakshi Jain that i feel more motivated to do my part to the society and country beyond the limitations of what community i am a part of.
We Hindus have always been tolerant, it is in our blood. It makes me proud that I am a Hindu when i hear that we were ready to let go the temple place to muslims if it were proven that there existed a masjid. This was a century ago. Tolerance? a century ago we were, a century later we still are!
It's not tolerance...its laziness, indifference and sheer cowardice.....Israel doesn't have a road named after Nazis it hitler....but India has roads and cities named after babur, aurangzeb, Bakhtiyar khilji etc......
@@nit23sharma , It is not that all the Hindus are lazy but the fact is that we have a lot of Jaichands and Mir Jafers among ourselves. Moreover, we Hindus (Jains, Buddhist, Lingayats) glorify too much 'the virtue of tolerance.' This emboldens the people of other faiths. In present times we need to be more proactive. If all the Hindus were lazy, we will not be seeing this day when RamJanmaBhoomi verdict is in the favour of Hindus. Having said all this I still would like to admit that a lot of Hindus need to give up their laziness and be alert to protect our religious and cultural heritage. Otherwise we will be wasting our energy in trying to change the situation or recover things that are in the possession of other people because we did not care and remained complacent with our personal lives.
@Madhavan K R...….. Tolerance of the Hindus is becoming a curse for themselves. People of other faith become emboldened with our tolerance. We have lost a vast area where Hindu culture and religion flourished from beyond Afghanistan to Cambodia and Vietnam. We are ready to give a 5 acre land to a community to build a mosque whose forefathers tortured and killed lakhs of Hindus and demolished our places of worships without even demanding an apology from them. This needs to be changed. Now we need to throw away this virtue of tolerance which is becoming a curse for us.
WE should be patient and calm like our gods. tit for tat is not the right why. first debate then ask for whatever you want go to court like in case of Ram mandir.there is also the international court of law do not become like the opposition. crimes do negate crimes

I got a 4th rank in delhi university entrance about a decade back because one of the 50 mark question i had attempted was on babri maszid issue and i had written whatever the left had exposed us to as students of social sciences. Am so ashamed of it now. Ever since i have been searching for the truth of this matter i have not been able to forgive thoes left academicians, such unscrupulous teachers.
All the so called experts who disposed off in the court, and made a fool of themselves, should be dismissed from their job if they still have the same. Also JNU professors should be put to test regarding their knowledge of the subjects they teach.
They won't be cuz of the Prof. Under they did their PhDs are the roots of many problems & they had the control over print, publications...

There is nothing like they want to restrict it to English audience, but the places where they have these discussions have audience which prefer the medium to be English. We can translate it with voice over for better spread.
Now the issue is settled, but the stupendous hard work put in by Dr. Meenakshiji, is laudable. The pieces of evidence produced sets in high quality of academic work by her. Methodical yet year by year in chronological order really gave a head start to the RamJanmbhoomi group. I salute her hard work.

One must not forget the immense contribution of Dr.K.V.Ramesh of ASI who deciphered the Vishnu Hari inscription which proved the existence of temple in Ayodhya. Without his contribution, the judgment wouldn't have been passed.

There is no instruction in Ramayan. But it embodies the spirit and practices of an ideal Hindu society as was considered ideal back then. So we have to be careful not to call it a manual.
