At last! A man that know that the HUD is a head up display. "Heads up" is that last thing you hear before getting beaned at a baseball game. (Depending on the ball's speed it may be, actually, the last thing you hear).
Great review - nice to see you refer to the HUD as a Head-Up Display - most call it a Heads Up Display (plural is incorrect). One small error though - you talk about the Dual-Mode Exhaust system as giving an add'l 5HP - not true - all C7s come standard with the Dual-Mode system and any increase in HP is already included with the 455HP rating. The optional Performance Multi-Mode system (NPP - $1195) is what adds the add'l 5HP (460HP) - this option adds controls to the other two exhaust pipes (inners) giving four baffles in total (The Dual-Mode has only two). Hope to see more such walk-arounds - excellent!
A lot about the new C7 Corvette reminds me of the C4 model from the shape of the rear taillights (squares and trapezoids are very similar) , to the LT1 engine designation, to the layout of the dashboard. If you look at pictures of the two dashboards side-by-side you will notice the overall shape and the angle to which the center stack is tilted are very similar, that both 'vettes have a shark-fin shaped center vent and that the gauge cluster on both has a center screen with analog gauges to each side. This Corvette isn't so much radical and new as it is a modern remake of an old design (think 1965 and 2005 Mustang).
god damn that's a nice color to go with white exterior !
You are the first to say that you can see all your info in the HUD. All others just mentioned speed and G readings.
